  1. And has less grass growing around it
  2. Right now I am looking at 12 tabs open, LOL. While most of them are in the double digit range, Check Asean now!
  3. I find Chat GPT very helpful as a start to research, but then you need to further research the unswere by doing a conventional sear to find dourses and colobarate information. It as often given be wrong information , and when confronted with contradicting info was forced to amend it's answer. But everytime this happens it learns. Much unlike many members in this forum
  4. I tried it. A very confusing game if you ask me .First you have to address the ball, as if the ball cared Ok, I will go along, though I felt a bit silly doing it. . " Hello Bal" Then though everyone clearly stated at every sling " Four" the insisted at playing 18 holes. What's with up with that? Also don't anyone find the act of a bunch of guys walking around a field trying to get their balls in every hole they find, a bit disturbing,?
  5. Usually something light. Like a BLT , soft drink , and perhaps a protein bar. Soup, Sirloin Steak , with mash potatoes gravy and a Caesar salad , washed down with a few beers will tend to make you want to take a nap (A more worthwhile endeavour IMO) rather than wack a small white ball around an open field.
  6. So while reading the news headlines on Google news as I do every morning during my quiet time before everyone wakes up . I noticed a new feature on the google browser where you can monitor the memory usage of each open tab. A handy capability for someone like me who has not closed a tab in a week LOL. Any way , you simply hover the over a tab and a drop down window opens with information about that tab, including Memory Usage. I am sure some of you might already know this, but for those of us who our digital clock on most devices is still blinking 12 might be useful news.
  7. Can you think of a major power leader who would not have swung from a tree had the other side won? If ofcourse it was the other sides interest for such swinging to occur.
  8. Can you imagine the surprise of the driver when the road collapsed? I bet he had a few choice words to say in the way down.
  9. I'd have know that my IQ could not passable be lowered
  10. Nose pickling.!! I am sure it is on the top of everyone's list. . Just the other day I was wondering why it is pleasurable, when I pick my nose , to make a little ball with it and roll it beweep the tips of my thumb and my forefinger. I mostly do it with my right hand (the rolling) but sometimes for variety I use my left. I always try to start a conversation about that, but for some unexplained reason, people look at me strange. What's up with that? What's wrong with people?
  11. many of which we can't repeat here?
  12. Women are many things but are never boring.
  13. As someone who has been coming to Khon Kaen for a very long time, livin here full time the last few, I Agree that everyone speaks Thai, but many mix a form of Lao with it. Especially when they talk with family and friends. Issan is a great place and would encourage the OP to visit, if he is anything like me, he might never leave, But if he is coming here to practice his Thai , it might be fine when he is talking, but when other do ,he might not be able to know if the new word he learn is Thai or Lao. When I hear a new word and asm my wife what does it mean, I also ask if it is Thai or Lao. I often tell her not to use Lao words as I have enough trouble learning Thai. She laughs and says "Men" (Yes in Lao)
  14. And four years later they were both out. (nixon 72, Mao 76)
  15. The way it was explained to me when I made the same comment was , that China was coming regardless what. You cand expect a country with the size, resources an work ethic to stay down , unless it is kept down.So the idea was that by bringin it in the fold it would be a partner rather than a competitor. What they failed to consider is the collateral differences that are not conducive to western style capitalism.
  16. They are. Choice of destinations Gaza and the Ukraine
  17. And the Laugh emoji. Imagine how confused germans would be when they get one? because ...."Humor in Germany is no laughing matter" Apologies to all Germans. I was dying to use that line.
  18. You are not doing too bad yourself!! keep it up George we are rooting for you (Pun intended) Oh Crap! how many points did I lose for this reply?
  19. IMO there should be no emojis at all. If you got something to say, Say it. if not ........... well I don't want to say the rest and lose points, I plan to redeem mine at the end of the year for a set of Asean now commemorative plated for my china cabinet.
  20. With a year to go toward the election it is to early for impeachment proceedings. I am sure more "evidence" will be found as it gets closer to the election. Unless of course Biden drops out , in which case "evidence" will be found against who ever is the nominee. I don't remember who, when asked what was the most dangerous to the USA rea in the world? Remarked " the few square miles between the White house and the Capitol." With the election of trump, one thing became evident, the incredible stupidity of the american electorate , and how much more than they thought the players can get away with. When reading about American politics I am reminded of the popular song's lyrics. "Clowns to left of me, jokers to the right, here am I stuck in the middle with you "
  21. Anyway Had wife do a search in Thai and I was able to locate a supplier , and I have placed an order . I should be receiving it in a few days.
  22. These look fantastic , where did you get your tubers? We are in Khon Kaen PS: I thought Dahlias are grown from seed but I know little about them other than that they look great and my Dad used to grow them in the US, so I would love to give them a try.
  23. I am also a beginner, but we are in north east Thailand , almost south Laos LOL You being a lot further north , probably have a bit cooler weather, so you probably have a lot more ortions. I am trying my lack on Tomatoes this year, always had good luck with the long string beans Thais and I am sure Laotians, love in their Som tom. (tum bakhung). and talking about that, How about some Papaya plants? Cucumbers are always good, and I had great luck with Eggplant.(the long purple kind) Since your weather is probably a bit cooler, and your options better, how about you look for a expat FB group in your area and see if you could get some area specific suggestions.
  24. So we a have a one Rai property near our house that we use for gardening and playing in dirt. I just planted Corn, tomatoes , string beans, cucumbers, eggplant, okra, and a few other things , Both me and the wife are total armatures, but a little by little we are learning. Planted a bunch of Mango like, lemon and Banana trees. Last year we had some good topsoil delivered and I guess it must have come from a Casava farm because we got a bunch of Cassava plants growing. , I didn't even know that Casava and Yuka were the same thing. I was acquainted with Yuka through my sister who is married to a Colombian and she had used them to make several delicious dishes. So I gave it a try, and they were a bit bitter, So I did some research and found out that there were two kind. The sweet that was the edible kind, and the bitter that contained chemicals that are not good for you and after is processed is used for food thickeners. Anyway long story short, I would like to get my hands on some of the sweet edible kind. Does anyone know where I might be able to buy some? We are in Khon Kaen but I guess they might be able to ship to me if not in the area.
