Sugar is a big problem in Thailand. they put sugar in everything
Every once in a while like to make Pizza from scratch.
and while at Macro I saw Hunts tomato sauce n abd being familiar with the brand from the US I bought some
After making the pizza it tasted sweet, and I was perplexed, Did I put too much sugar in the yeast proof?
Before I use my yeast for the dough I put it in my warm water with a small pinch of sugar for yeast food, to see if it is still alive, If after 5 minutes it starts to bubble up, then I am good to go.
So I thought that inadvertently some how I put too much sugar.
There was a bit of tomato sauce left in the sauce pot and I don't know why i decided to taste some.
It was loaded with sugar. It seems that even international brands change their recipe for import into Thailand.
