I've not seen any reports on these new appointment schedules for visa extensions.
Normally, it takes 6- 8 hours from arrival and collection of queue number to completion (waiting and process).
The new appointment time slots remove the need to waiting and even lays out a time for the process itself. See the immigration police website for details.
It gives the time to process of just 15 minutes for my "expert" visa extensions. I notice that retirement visa extensions are given 1 hour to process. The 15 minutes seems fanciful; it normally takes 30 to 45 minutes with two to three different stages of officers.
Has anyone experienced this yet? It would be a remarkable improvement if it actually functions.

The company always had special "tourist boats". These were always twice the price of regular boats, which were scheduled for commuter traffic. The extra price paid for the incomprehensible, annoying tour audio.
Catamarans are just for the tourists; they have a large, very open, upper deck for tourists. Wonderfully, the upper deck has no audio.
The other boats had to be limited outside of rush hours because of massive drops in usage. But it is rapidly improving.
The boats always stopped in the dark. The last boat was typically around 7:20pm from the Central stop. Nothing seems to have changed in that regard.
The boat route is now far more accessible. The circular Blue Line MRT has a station at the Old Siam Museum, with an exit very near the old pier, and fairly near the new pier. The Purple Line has a station pretty close to the northern piers, and the Gold Line has stops on the west bank of the river. All this in addition to the old BTS stops.
Things are getting better.

No AC. No fan. Window is adjusted depending on the time of year.
I'm in an urban heatzone, so around 8 years ago, when there was a heatwave, I turned on a fan... to low.
I usually turn on AC to 27 degrees just before switching the light out. Not to cool down but because the human body naturally sleeps when it gets darker... and when it gets cooler.
During those rare cold snaps, I wear a cheap Lazada Chinese Heatvest, and.... I pray it doesn't burn me alive before morning.

Joe. Just had the final outcome..
APPROVED ! With next report date in September.
????
I expected this.
If they approve it, then any errors of name etc by us get waved off when the next 90 days comes up. So you had nothing to lose by not cancelling.

I have recently tried to purchase a camera from a seller on Lazada. I bought a 70K camera - and was sent a 200 baht watch. Lazada have been very helpful. I applied for a refund. Lazada organised the courier return. The seller (unsurprisingly) did not accept the return. However Lazada has approved my refund, which will be returned to my cc within a few weeks.
I always check sellers feedback before making a purchase, I check their online store and will sometimes even message them before buying. With the benefit of hindsight - I realised that all of the items in this sellers store were simply cut and pasted from legitimate stores. He had a handful of followers, and is unlikely to fess up that he is a scammer when I contacted him. Lol
Moral of the story - be careful out there. Pay with cc for additional protection - or COD if available.
Lazada has your back though. ????
I would love to see all screenshots of all messages with all parties involved. I feel confident we can uncover this. We haven't got anything better to do.

I signed in and opened the app and my android device and was able to completed the first page but got the message that my report was not due yet. It is not due until next month. I am sure if I had been within the reporting window it would of worked.
I did that but it wouldn't let me go through to the second page. That moment is the moment where the App appears to no longer function. I would love to be disabused of this. Let me know how it goes Joe.
Just 3 minutes after that failing, I used the website version effortlessly. And received approval.

The app is not defunct downloaded it again today and it shows all the previous details etc
It lets you open it and does all sorts of things but the 90 days cannot be completed on it. I've tried. Go ahead and try for yourself.

They do list their refund schedule somewhere. It's, from memory, "up to 6 weeks". Simply set a reminder alarm and check your account to see if the refund was made. I always get the refund, usually around 4 weeks.
Please don't waste the bank's time on this. It has nothing to do with them.

It's strange that the best function of the now-defunct App wasn't carried across to the new computer system. In the App, and only in the App, you could tick a box and it would match all the details of any prior application of your choice.
Around 80% of the problems in the last couple of pages on here would be immediately resolved by this function.

Basic due diligence.
1. Has the seller an extremely high (95%+) rating? (Is it a LazPick, for example)
2. Are any reviews bot-like or do they seem genuine? (please note: many reviewers incompetently give products a default 5 star even on a bad review)
3. Is the seller older than 4 weeks?
4. Does the shop have a legit name? (Example bad name: dtingdtong253689642575367)
5. Does the product description match the pictures? (the description legally trumps the pictures)
It is almost impossible to get ripped off if you follow these guidelines.
You did not buy a Lazada watch. You bought a watch which happens to be sold via Lazada.
If you choose "LazMall" then Lazada themselves guarantee the authenticity of the product.
If you are not happy, the return process is extremely easy: walk to a package delivery shop, show them the delivery address on your phone which Lazada provides after you've initiated a complaint, give Lazada a day or two to check the validity of your complaint, receive refund. The seller has no control in the refund process.

"...now Mathias is appealing for help to get his beloved bike back."
This is strange. Why is he asking us for help? He knows who has his items and he even has followed the right way to get them returned...
Does he want us all to telephone his Ex for him...?

No she doesn't.
Only questions of law and procedural issues are up for challenge in an appeal.
Her appeal is highly unlikely to succeed, except the screw up by the jury on writing in the damages might raise concerns. But I give it no better than 5% chance of success.

There are four broad forms of corruption:
Theft, embezzlement (large theft), bribe (speed), access.
5 hours ago, DaveCW said:all seemed very quick they were in and out in 5 mins.
You received a speedy service at cost. The third type of corruption.
Most corruption in Thailand benefits the 'victim'. The simple corruption of planting drugs or beating the money out of you is rare here. Much more likely you'll pay your way out of a 'problem' or dine with a goverment official.
Welcome to Thailand. Have a nice day.

England ATM and Bank cards have 4 digit thais have six- how will that work?
I know the answer, since in a branch of HSBC in a small fishing town I asked the staff the same question: can I type in 6 digits? So we all stood around the ATM to find out. They promised to retrieve my card if it got eaten.
It worked. No problems.

I experienced my own Cuban Missile Crisis with the Thai government.
As you'll recall from history class, the letter From Chairman Khrushchev to President Kennedy, on October 26, 1962, had a pleading tone, seeking a peaceful resolution. The second letter was much more aggressive, and appeared to be written by somebody else. JFK ignored the second letter and responded to the first. And because of that, we are all here today.
Like JFK, I first received an approval for my 90 days, but then a day later, I received a rejection from the Immigration police. I ignored the rejection and now 90 days later I applied for a fresh 90 days and was accepted.
Literally, the Cuban Missile Crisis Part Deux.

This reminds me of people complaining of the WiFi sometimes failing on their plane flights. They're in a tube in the sky, getting access to the World's internet...
What WISE does is amazing. They save you a fortune by shunting your money around the World down odd routes. Just 15 years ago, the same transfer would have cost a fortune. They'll do it for peanuts. On this occasion, it's going to take a little longer, and they've even told you how long.
If you want your money instantly, pay your bank to do it directly... but make sure you're wearing some adult diapers before you see the cost.
If you are unhappy with WISE, they have competitors. Try them.

I usually get 2 or 3 scam calls a day. I use the "Showcaller App" which uses a huge user database to identify them as "potential fraud" or "known scam call" etc. as my phone is ringing. I've never talked to a scammer on the phone. I haven't wasted even a minute of my life on them.

Thanks very much i did phone hsbc in the U.k last night and they said to go to Bangkok hsbc who will be able to check my id and then will communicate with the uk branch to help re-activate my account.
Still do not have much faith in hsbc bangkok to even want to do this .
Next time i am in bangkok i will give it a go
That won't work. They also told me to do that. I went to HSBC Bangkok and they refused to do the ID check, even with the HSBC UK talking to them on the phone. You'll need to suggest Singapore or Hong Kong if they insist on your appearance at a branch... but make sure this is the real issue. It probably isn't.

I had this exact problem. It took dozens of communication with them because each time I contacted them, their precise reason for freezing/deactivating the account changed. They weren't even consistent on whether it was frozen or merely deactivated.
It was a nightmare. I even travelled to Hong Kong because they said that would satisfy their vague security concerns to turn up in person at a branch, but they changed their mind on this. They later sent me 100 pounds as an apology, even though I had never complained.
The two ways that got it working were: (1) write to the bank manager of the branch of your account explaining why you must re-gain access (2) sending ID updates to their centre on security checks (when they prompt you).
Give the normal HSBC telephone number a ring and persuade them to accept this way of moving ahead once they explain why they deactivated the account.
It took almost 2 years for me to succeed but it is possible. HSBC are notorious for wanting accounts to be shut on non-residents. Just google this if you need proof.
Almost any other bank would be preferable. But most won't allow you to open a new account, only re-activate old accounts.
From memory, the Bank of India in London is one of a tiny number who will. The difficulty is the KYC laws ("know your customer") just add to the problem; the staff are discouraged from providing details in case you are attempting to "case the joint", that is, find a way around their security measures.
Good luck.

If they don't have in stores, they may have in their warehouse. If not, they can order worldwide. They have never failed to find a copy of the books I order. It can take a month for an import.

OP - could you please give me the email address you used ?
I used to have monthly updates of books from them sent to my old email address, I advised them of my new address but heard nothing more from them.
Like you I enjoy old books which are often not in stock-

Send them the order by e-mail. They will accept it. I've done it many times because I usually buy very rare books that are not in stock.

I don't think there is.
I had multiple errors on my App info and I contacted both my first two hospitals and they said they could do nothing. I contacted the relevant Ministry through my work's admin staff since I received the jabs via work, and there was no response.
When I went for the booster the hospital was then able to correct all the mistakes. I suspect the hospitals have a brief period of access to the database only. So I'd rush to contact them in person, but I doubt they can help. I would pursue trying to contact the Ministry but I have no details how to do that.

Online reporting can be done form about 14 days to the report date.
For mailed in reports you can mail them within 15 days or but the need to be received 7 days before your report date. Bangkok immigration is the only office that wants them mailed 14 before but they will process them if received by the 7 days.
So I could mail in a report and then before they receive it attempt to do it online? (What happens to the duplication?)

If you need to stimulate a taffic jam on Google Maps, a method which works is to ask a friend to carry 300 mobile phones around with them as they walk down the street. Google will detect this as a severe traffic jam and re-calculate the journey time for you.
