Old topic but still actual. Want to go again soon so allow me to ask if someone of the Chumphon locals can advice on necessary precautions, check points, Covid-19 tests etc. for entrance into town. Btw, fully vaccinated.

Maybe its changed the last few years as so many other things but I have had with in and out road bikes in a bike case on many occasions and never had an issue. Also on the same occasions brought with me relatively expensive wheels in the cabin in a wheel bag.

Paid Thb 2700,- late July sending a Honda wave 125cc with Thailand Post included extra safety packaging. They even (new service they said) delivered the bike on our doorstep.

They (Condo management) are awaiting announcement from the Governor. Outdoor sport like tennis and football is allowed and most ( I believe) condominium pools are outdoor so with some limitations on people who can use the pools its only questions about when the Governors order are on the table.

Maybe look at how the same period was around the globe in the last months a year ago and the beginning of 2021. There are similarities already in Europe where the fall is upon people and as last year increased infections. Thailand had nearly reopened October - December last year but that changed after New year. Now more people are vaccinated so the coming waves should hit less hard but personally I would go now and be back before New year!

The same only different virus. A few years ago, we were told by "Tony" to continue eating Kfc Chicken as ever before, so that the turnover could hold up. Now we are told to receive the bat vaccine to ensure that the government maintains its pride towards big brother.

As far as I know everybody in Thailand is supposed to get free vaccination. It just takes time.

We don't live in a so called 1st world country. And looking at 1st world counties like i.e. the USA and the UK and am happy about that.

Well if you are happy with Sinovac then good for you but that
don't mean 70 million Thais agree with you even and because as  you say they don't live in the first world. Btw, do the US or UK arrange vaccine tours abroad?

Oh well... my grandson will likely know in 2121 and when he sit down with his family and tell tales and history from his ancestors he will probably remark that grandfather was actually right with his theory about the  Covid -19 pandemic origin which killed more than hundred's of millions of people worldwide and started with a lab leak in China ????
