  1. I cannot see the relevance of the analogy that a copy-cat business is like the re-purposing of a religious edifice by another religion. But, I appreciate your concern for, your loyalty to, your friend. ~o:37;
  2. "Soft Power" ? ... why not, Hot Air doesn't seem to be working. ~o:37;
  3. Well, the first part of your message did say: "Bi-polar?" ... I was asking the manic side of you for any chemical tips/tricks ... 'cause I'm feeling awfully sluggish these daze, and, it's almost impossible to get a good hallucination going. ???? cheers, ~0:37;
  4. This is based on an experience(s) you had ? When, where ? If you are claiming this applies to a variety of Chinese carriers and flights, please cite your sources. cheers, ~o:37;
  5. With respect, Khun Nancy, how do you know that ? Do you ask the airport/airline staff ? I'm happy to hear you can afford business class, but, what has that got to do with wheelchair service ? cheers, ~o:37;
  6. You might get some responses from individuals who like cats if you describe your length of stay, your cat's requirements, etc.
  7. Hi, Nancy, I appreciate your response, and ideas. My friend is fit (made several international trips in the last two years in spite of Covid), and I am sure his ethics would stop him from using a service provided for those who must have it. cheers, ~o:37;
  8. May I ask what psychotropic medicines or herbs you are taking: I want some ???? ~o:37;
  9. Thanks for reminding to look at travel going west. Friend would leave from Atlanta. My favorite way to get here has always been to stop for a day or two in Singapore, and, then, fly to Chiang Mai, skipping Dragons'-<deleted> City (BKK). The vegetarian food at Ling Zhi on Orchard Road was worth the stop (that was was way -back when i had tastebuds). cheers, ~o:37;
  10. Of course, I am aware of those travel sites. I am hoping to hear specific experiences, and recommendations, in the last few years If there is are specific reasons you recommend Orbitz, please respond. thanks, ~o:37;
  11. Hi, I am helping a friend in the US make travel plans to visit Chiang Mai, arriving a few days before Loy Krathong (November 10, 2022CE). The friend is in their late 70's, but, has no medical condition that would affect flying for an extended time. They probably can afford a higher level of service/seating than economy. I've never travelled here from the east coast; always travelled from the west coast. Of course, the potential future of Covid, is the great unknown here. I'd appreciate your sharing your experiences and thoughts pre- and post-covid era. My concerns are friend's comfort en route, avoiding any change-planes stop-over so short it would require running, quality of service. Here are my working assumptions: 1) given the high numbers of Thais that may come to CM for Loy Krathong, and international travelers, early booking of flights and/or hotels is a good idea ... yeah ... Covid may be a major factor. 2) friend would be willing to to do one overnight stay at some point in the journey, thanks in advance for your comments ! ~o:37;
  12. How many pictures of burning mountain ridges and fields on this thread do you need to see: the major source of seasonal air pollution in northern Thailand is ... northern Thailand. Yes, there are occasional major contributions from other areas depending on changes in winds. ~o:37;
  13. high-roller pot-head$ ... the comedy will be worth its weight in ... giggles.
  14. Many years I've been here (Chiang Mai, not Tralfamadore), it has rained the lqast day of Songkran. That's the way it's supposed to work: the rain-making Phayanaak (Nagas) lolling in the outermist ocean surrounding the seven concentric reefs around Tavatimsa Heaven, ...well ... they get lazy ... so the sympathetic magick of water-throwing at Songkran gives them a metaphysical nudge to get on the job. But, the current deluge ? Young Naga jumps the gun ? Climate change ? who cares ? ~o:37;
  15. Perhaps it's time for you to change the "virtual reality" you have created/selected with "America" as a back-drop ? ~o:37;
  16. Welcome to Chiang Mai ! Golden Retrievers are wonderful, intelligent dogs, great. loyal, companions with usually friendly, sociable, temperaments. Please consider the choice of a long-haired dog, like the GR, in a tropical climate: is it fair to the dog ? GR's in hot weather Given the (shameful) glut of abandoned, unwanted, dogs here, and the availability of breeder-raised native Thai breeds, like the Ridgeback, would it be a more humane choice to select a Thai dog ? cheers, ~o:37;
  17. Hi, While I appreciate your response, I think you do not have enough information for such a (at best) hypothesis. cheers, ~o:37
  18. Hi. One of the real benefits I've enjoyed on this forum, over the years, is reading people's experiences with local companies' goods and services. Since my trusted GP 's clinic is not available, I decided to go to a lab myself. That may not be the right choice for you, and, imho, you really need a medical professional's advice to interpret your test results, and make any decision regarding treatment, medication, etc. I have a good reason to monitor my thyroid levels, and uric acid levels, regularly. Disclaimer: your mileage may vary. Disclosure: I had no experience of this lab before I went; I selected it for convenient location; I have not been asked to write this "review:" they do not know I am writing this. I used the CMFLab near the Empress Hotel (Chang Klan, Soi 12) for blood testing, and they were very professional. I went about 6:30PM last night. and the results were emailed (.pdf files) to me before noon today https://www.cmflabchiangmai.com/th Tests I had: total cost 1260 Baht. Uric acid Renal Function Creatinine / eGFR Thyroid function test (CMIA method) TSH / Free T3 / Free T4 / T3 / T4 Blood WBC / Neutrophil / Lymphocyte / Monocyte2 / Eosinophil1 / Basophil0 / RBC / Hb / HctM / MCV / MCH / MCHC / Platelet Cells
  19. No: we never even think about it ! If, by chance, we did think about it, we immediately scrub the memory away using whatever to erase the network of stored synaptic interconnected potentialities.
  20. So you are saying you understand what other people's posts on this forum mean ?
  21. Update, Khun Ooh, the very friendly and helpful pharmacist at the '56 Pharmacy' near Dr, T's clinic, has confirmed that the clinic is closed, and a new sign just says 'closed for a while,'
  22. Been calling this AM, and after 4:30PM (former PM opening hour) ... so far, no answer.
  23. I guess you didn't bother to read the thread title ? get a life..
  24. Hi, If you search this forum, you'll find several threads about people's experiences with Dr. T. Over many years he has proved effective, reliable, and kind, in taking care of me. cheers
  25. Hi Dante, Congratulations, and, deepest sympathies, for surviving Amazing T this long ???? Dr. T. is certainly youthful looking and acting. I'd say 65 max.
