  1. I have used Pop Auto Glass when I needed a windscreen replacement. Very professional outfit. If I may, I'd like to ask if anyone has experience of light-sensitive film (dark in sunlight but clear at night) and availability in/near Pattaya.
  2. Faith healers are also often vilified, but I have seen videos of cripples standing up from their wheelchairs and walking. Do not underestimate the power of prayer. Your donations will help too.
  3. The problem has been resolved with help from members and a new link from vinestovino. Mods: I think the topic can be closed now.
  4. I don't know what the problem was, but I'm now able to log in and place my order using https://vinestovino.store/. Thanks to everyone who tried to help.
  5. Thanks. Looks like it's a problem at my end. That's good news.
  6. Thanks. I'm with TRUE.
  7. I hope it's just the website that's blocked. I'll be in Pattaya later this week and call in at the shop on Thepprasit. Fingers crossed.
  8. I've been ordering wine/spirits regularly from Vinestovino for a year or more - recommended by someone on this site. All day yesterday I tried to log in to the website, just kept timing out. I tried again today and got this screen ... Does anyone have any information?
  9. "21 hours to get their drinks in from a 7-11" Are you sure about that?
  10. Average life expectancy for Maasai is about 30 years lower than Europe (50ish compared to 80ish) according to AI. Very harsh conditions and hardly any access to healthcare.
  11. Eggs box made me laugh out loud.
  12. This whole 11-page rant is based upon a lie. A few people are wearing masks, for various reasons, known only to themselves, but those of us who live here (either in Bangkok or the provinces) know that the OP is absolute nonsense.
  13. AI Overview The highest peak in Thailand not located in a national park is Khao Kacheu La, although its exact location and height are not as widely documented as those of peaks inside national parks. While Doi Inthanon is Thailand's highest peak, it is within a national park, making it unsuitable for this query. Khao Kacheu La: This is the highest peak in Thailand that is not located within a national park. Sometimes a differently worded question can give the result one needs. I searched "highest peaks in Thailand, but not inside a national park"
  14. I'm assuming that you will need to move out while the renovations are being completed. In your situation I would ask the landlord to have the ceiling unit removed during the renovations, then cleaned and replaced afterwards.
  15. I googled it, and now I wish I hadn't. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrocuting_an_Elephant
  16. As I said. My extension is based on retirement. Maybe that is the difference.
  17. I believe that double funds would be required for the 800k deposit method in a joint account. I use the monthly income method of 65k pm (usually more). Ours is a normal joint account, clearly shown as such on the first page and on the bank statement and bank letters. I've never had an account in my sole name here in 21+ years.
  18. I use monthly transfers into our joint account for my retirement extension. Been doing so for many years and it's never questioned (Jomtien). Maybe the rule is different for marriage extensions.
  19. Also, wasn't there some problem a few years ago with codeine being found in hand baggage during stop-overs in Middle East airports. Edit: Not just stop-overs, transit too.
  20. According to AI a licence is required for codeine - even for individual use. AI Overview Codeine is not banned in Thailand, but it is a controlled substance classified as a Category 2 narcotic. It is available for medical use with strict regulations, not over-the-counter. For Travelers Bringing Medication If you are a traveler under treatment and need to bring medication containing codeine into Thailand, you must follow strict procedures: Obtain a Permit: You are required to obtain a permit from the Thai Food and Drug Administration (FDA) before your travel. The application must be submitted online at least 15 days in advance of your travel date. Quantity Limits: You are permitted to carry a quantity not exceeding a 90-day supply for personal use. Required Documents: You must carry the FDA permit, a copy of your passport, and a valid medical prescription or medical document from your physician with you when traveling. Customs Declaration: Upon arrival in Thailand, you must use the "red channel" at customs to declare your medication and present your permit and documents if requested.
  21. Now I'm feeling just a little bit stupid for feeding the troll.
