The underground lottery is very popular because you can choose your own 2 or 3 numbers and also choose your own stake (from 10 baht upwards). Choosing 2 numbers gives odds of 100/1 and a win normally pays 60x the stake Choosing 3 numbers gives odds of 1000/1 and a win normally pays 450x the stake This is a lot more than the payout for 2 or 3 numbers on the official lottery but, of course, does not include the chance of a 6M baht jackpot. A couple of years ago I won 90,000 baht for a 200 baht stake on 3 numbers (actually my total stake was 1,200 as I bet 200 on all 6 combinations of my 3 numbers).

Transfering Visa from old to new passport
chickenslegs replied to sqwakvfr's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Recently, I used an agent (Key Visa, Pattaya) to handle my UK passport renewal, as I did not fancy two trips to Bangkok to do it myself. I just went into their office with my passport and fee (nothing else) and received notification of my new passport about 4 weeks later (IIRC - 12,500, including the passport cost). For an extra fee of 2,500 baht the agent had my stamps transferred. I didn't need to provide any additional paperwork - I just transferred the fee from my WISE account to the agent. A few days later I collected my new passport from the agent - all done - no hassle for me. -

68 (69 next month) just did 25 seconds whilst simultaneously mixing my second gin and tonic of the evening. Maybe the weight of the bottle helped my balance. I feel like I might live another 10 years, at least. (BTW - anyone know where I can get schweppes sugar free tonic)
