  1. In Thailand a name change comes with a certificate (two certificates if it is a change of given name and family name). Isn't it the same in his own country?
  2. "Planned" by some Thailand's finest? Incriminating evidence everywhere, plus evidence of the cover-up itself. Pretty poor planning IMO.
  3. Not that bad for whom? I agree it's OK for the likes of me - foreign retiree with a decent pension - how about Thais who would like a decent public education system, no compulsory military conscription, freedom to discuss the Lèse-majesté laws, etcetera?
  4. Not even a single vote from the general population. Just like the PM before him.
  5. Breadmaker machines do the mixing, kneading, and baking. They just plug into a normal power outlet.
  6. It's possible to make your own yeast, but takes a bit of time to get it started. I tried it and the resulting bread was good, but I got tired of the maintenance. https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/17513/no-commercial-yeast-starter/
  7. I use lard in my barm cakes. Not my photo, but mine are just as good ...
  8. Misread your OP, sorry. Thought you meant no freezer.
  9. Loads in HomePro https://www.homepro.co.th/search?ca=APP0904&q=fridge
  10. I am not knowledgeable about visas/extensions but I'm wondering whether the experts can envisage a solution that involves the spouse applying for a visa and the OP being the dependent. Assuming she has a current passport and could meet the criteria. Just trying to think outside the box - don't be too harsh if I'm being stupid.
  11. Taking airline puns to new heights
  12. Yep! And all those Thais who live and work hundreds of km from their place of registration? (working in Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket, etc.). They will get nothing, same as the covid handouts - people turning up in their Benz' to collect a few thousand baht while others queued for free food at the soup kitchens (provided by charities, not government).
  13. None of us are perfect parents. If you ever decide to have a family (it might be very important to your partner - biological clock and all that) simply be the best father that you can. Just like you try to be the best man, partner, friend that you can. And, having a great mother can make up for having a 'less than excellent' father, as both myself and my children can confirm.
