  1. TRAVEL BROCHURE JARGON (ISIHAC) Palm fringed-beach Surrounded by beggars Compact swimming pool Bidet Staggering views The local wine’s dodgy We would strongly recommend hiring a car You are 103 miles from the nearest lavatory Plenty of nightlife Watch out for the cockroaches Stone’s throw from the beach Mick Jagger once vomited from the top balcony
  2. Hitler's archives - recently discovered correspondence ... Dear Herr Hitler, Sorry for taking a while to get back to you. We think your paintings are extremely promising. Do hope you haven’t embarked on another career. Yours sincerely, Residenz galerie Salzburg
  3. Some people will be cross about that joke. But I think you nailed it.
  4. You might find some of those drugs available online here. https://bangkokdrugstore.com/

  6. Great photos and video Owl, thanks. My last Avocado (grown from a seed) died last week. It was looking healthy at about 1.5m tall and about 3cm thick at the base when I last saw it in April. I suspect that it was over-watered by the guy who looks after the garden while we are away.
  7. Trying to add some fun to our sex life, I didn't tell my wife that I replaced our bed with a trampoline. When she found out she hit the ceiling.
  8. I went on a rock climbing course but I struggled with the lesson on how to get the slack out of a safety rope. I guess some things cannot be taut.
  9. When I was on holiday in Scotland I heard about this mythical creature that keeps ringing doorbells. The locals call it the knock less monster.
  10. But you're name is in italics on my screen now. 30 seconds later, it's gone. Presumably you left the thread.
  11. Chester is a very nice city, but I was thinking it might be my home city - Stoke.
  12. From the linked article ... No. "White rhinoceros is taken from the Afrikaans word describing its mouth: “wyd”, meaning “wide”. Early English settlers misinterpreted the “wyd” for “white”. It is also sometimes called the square-lipped rhinoceros." https://rhinos.org/about-rhinos/rhino-species/white-rhino/ I learned this at school over 50 years ago - and some people say that schools never teach us anything useful.
