Phuket Airport tourist cries fowl over 3,000 baht Subway sarnies
nauseus replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
What I thought but that doesn't tally with 7%. I looked at Subway offers but I can't find any of these "meal deals" that include any of these extras at all. So to conclude: 1. All food outlets are ridiculously expensive, especially in international departures areas. 2. The complainant is either as thick as <deleted>, or full of it, or both. -
Jeju Air Flight from Bangkok Skids Off Runway at Muan Airport, 28 Dead

Looks like the full truth might take longer to emerge than expected: https://www.investing.com/news/stock-market-news/south-korea-jeju-air-jet-blackboxes-stopped-recording-4-minutes-before-crash-ministry-says-3807951 -
Blackpool was always a dodgy place. Best steer clear.

As clear as mud. You appear to defend the real offenders in this topic by using regular deflections. You use misleading terms such as "wide spread coordinated race riots" to try to transfer any guilt onto the long-time frustrated white working classes but then hail your hero, Starmer, for stamping same riots out - a separate topic but there you are!! Blame May but don't forget all the rest, especially the Labour councils in the North. There has been little serious action against these gangs for decades, even though this problem has been shown to have existed widely across England and known about by all governments (national and local) and other services over most of that time. Starmer is only the latest in the line of politicians who should have acted responsibly and strongly but he seems to want to do as little as possible about this. With all the information available today it's a pity that he can't commit to a full national inquiry and then do some worthwhile stamping out .... of these foul grooming gangs! With weakness like this then the problem won't go away.

Dog Fatally Attacks 84 Year Old Owner at Home in Saraburi
nauseus replied to Georgealbert's topic in Central Thailand News
This what the story says: A male mixed breed dog, reported as a cross between a Thai breed and a Pitbull. So not necessarily what the family said. If Pitbull involved then probably back up the line a way, I would think. -

Looked at the lot. Maybe a slightly broad head but really a broad Thai mix of lots of things. Here's an adorable Pitbull. See what I mean? -

Or this: He also suggested that the dog might have been stressed, as it had been chained for an extended period. I can't see much Pitbull in there either, if any. Not that that will help it now. -
Labour seem to have no need of assistance to undermine their reputation and support. Labour were in power and allowed the start of abnormally high immigration. Yes, the Conservatives allowed even more. The whole period goes back possibly for four decades. You sound just like Starmer. Far right my ar$e.

This story shows that even by 1pm on 6th, after these pipe bombs were "found", security at The Capitol was not reinforced until after 5pm. This whole thing rings of a huge snow job. The FBI investigation never identified a bomber nor resulted in an arrest and the J6 Sham Committee mainly ignored the bombs, as well as other events that might have distracted from its goal of blaming Trump. This linked article explains more about the delay in the arrival of the National Guard on J6. https://www.declassified.live/p/the-silent-insurrection-general-milleys

Jeju Air Flight from Bangkok Skids Off Runway at Muan Airport, 28 Dead

No need for apologies and your positive comments are appreciated. I did say it was likely that there was a fuel leak before the impact with the berm because the weight of the aircraft was set down onto just the two engines, at high speed, plus a small part of the fuselage close to the tail end. So the shock to the engines could easily have produced fuel leaks there and sparks were also likely due to the significant friction and heat developed during the slide. I was aware that the aircraft had collided with the berm, ending with the huge destruction, explosion and fire. My input at the time was partly uninformed, I suppose. But it was only a couple of posts. The "discussion" then featured several further pages plagued by frequent gross speculation and a lot of nonsense, particularly by one or two individuals who, like me, do not have enough information to know what really happened, and what mitigating options were open to the pilots. Some of these posters were very quick to try to fault the crew and I think that's too bad right now - if they made mistakes then all will be revealed in the preliminary accident report. -

Nothing of value? How would you know? My contributions to this topic were added early on. Since then I've waited for more news - info and facts - unlike the uninformed gossipers here. -

No, it's not great. It's speculation. As is most of the rubbish here.
