Why do people on here call Thailand the land of smiles?
nauseus replied to bignok's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
New campaign but old slogan. Oldest record of the Amazing Thailand promotion that I can find is for 1998/9 (I thought is was even earlier) but this title has been pushed a few times since then. https://www.ryt9.com/en/prg/1690 -

Biden vows to stand by Ukraine, despite budget fiasco
nauseus replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I have to, reluctantly, disagree. Combat news is rather limited recently but Ukrainian gains over four months of operations since June seem to be very limited, with very small gains made only in a few local areas. So, overall, it seems to be a stalemate for now. For Ukraine to retake significantly more territory, then the cost in casualties may turn out be higher than it's worth. -

Strange (or zero) reasoning. Maybe it's because you are consumed with your hate Trump, more than Putin? -

How (on earth ????) do you know that as a fact? By the way, the coldest temperatures in Earth's atmosphere are in the mesosphere, at about -90° C -

My point? OK. Well we don't live and breathe in the stratosphere. Humans have evolved in the troposphere, the closest layer of the atmosphere to the earth's surface, at the lowest altitudes , where all breathable air plus all livable temperatures for us exist. My point is that, without the atmosphere as it is, we would not have evolved as humans, at all. -

Never fear, once the Enterprise has had its 10 billion light year service and respray at the Federation garage, Scotty says we'll be good to go. -

Why do people on here call Thailand the land of smiles?
nauseus replied to bignok's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
It comes from years gone by when the majority of Thai people were far less concerned with material wealth but seemed to be much happier with their lot. This era seemed to produce a lot more genuinely happy smiling faces everywhere here. -

Hunter Biden indicted on three federal gun charges
nauseus replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Yes, my bad, formally gone (dismissed March) in 2016. Shokin actually resigned in mid February after Biden had forced that in Dec 2015. Poroshenko appointed Shokin only a year earlier. Only a few RINOS signed the letter I think, which was after the resignation anyway. -

Still no proof that Shokin was not investigating Burisma, despite all your propaganda and stories. -

Shokin was already gone in 2015. Stop wasting my time. -

As your offerings are also unproven. Why should Shokin's account be ignored? Because you say so? You remember when Shokin was fired - so what? Don't play shame games. -

Yahoo might trust the word of Poroshenko - I do not - he's as corrupt as the rest of them. There is no actual proof attached to what he says. You don't seem to understand this. -

A major issue for the Bidens was that their chief prosecutor was doing his job. You still don't seem to understand this. -
UK: Met police request support from army after officers down firearms
nauseus replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I'm sure over 100 armed officers were not at the scene but these smaller groups of firearms officers are and have to be in close contact with each other, via radio and other means. Other groups remote from the incident would have known about it almost immediately. Yes, agree that justice needs to prevail.
