Dear Valued Client,
In response to current global and local economic trends, CBRE Thailand has decided to re-focus our Residential Sales services in Pattaya on our core business of Sole Agency Project Sales.
Consequently, we regret to advise our Pattaya clients that from 1st January 2009, CBRE will no longer be able to offer non-exclusive agency services to individual sellers or developers of residential properties in Pattaya and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
However, we will continue to offer clients in Pattaya and the Eastern Seaboard our full range of professional real estate services including Developer Consultancy, Investment & Land, Property Management, Research & Consulting and Valuation & Advisory directly from our Bangkok office.

Try Thai Farmers Bank. They were very good with us although it's 8 months plus since we organised finance against our business for a land purchase
Thanks, will do, are they also known as Kasinkorn Bank?
Yes Kasikorn bank or Kbank.
-
The reason they will be saying 3% discount is because that is what they would have had to pay an agent perhaps?

Breakfast - Marriot
Evening meal - Hard Rock
Both fkn expensive, but both fantastic!!!!!

I think Moderators should pull these hearsay posts. I have no financial interest in the Waterfront and personally don't care if it is built or not, but unless people can substantiate their rumour-mongering posts, they should not post at all, as it can become a self-fulfilling prophecy, and may also end up as a lawsuit for economic damage and a libel action to boot.
One could post such rumours about EVERY current development in Pattaya right now (no buyers, too expensive, will never sell the Thai 51%, exchange rates killing them, raw materials prices, banks refusing credit, scared to lend to developers even to finish off, etc etc) , so why should a newbie poster single out The Waterfront for attention? It might be well-meaning but in these times it could also be misleading and dangerous.
Best to wait until there is something more concrete about specific developments than post Chinese whispers, in my opinion.
As I understand it this is a discussion forum relating to Pattaya. This is a piece of news I heard today that requires clarification from a more informed source as it could have a financial impact on board members who may have invested in the project. If admin/moderators think it is too sensitive and could get them into trouble then they will surely delete it. I just want people to know there may well be a problem with the development....sorry for that if it upsets you!!!
Colin.
Heard today from who??
It is not a case of the moderators thinking the post is sensitive or not, you are posting unfounded rumors, in your opening post and in the one above!!
Divulge your sources and their credibility on the subject!
-
Just heard that The Waterfront is in big financial problems and will probably not happen. I suggest anyone thinking of investing in it or anyone that has invested in it, should contact them straight away.
I am only posting this to warn everyone, there is no malice intended. Maybe someone who knows more than me could give us some more information.
Their website is www.waterfrontpattaya.com
Cheers,
Colin
From a man in a bar perhaps???

There is an advert in the Trader - Business for sale - that suspiciously matches the description of Easyriders.
-
It's a amazing how little can these cheerleadering sales people do to defend their position. Their max: copy+paste from their boiler room pamflets. OK, fine with me, at least I'll do it with my original material:
"Another castle in the sand, was marketed to Russians for almost a year, sold something next to nothing... If this heaviest-of-the-heavy space shuttle eventually gets off the ground, then only to blow up in the mid-air just like Challenger did.
"
For the record: they did NOT sell 144 units.
Oh wise one, pray tell why you are in a better position than the owner/developers to say what has been sold or not, or are you insinuating that they are liar's??

But now that he's an official branch of the UK government he charges the same fees as the Embassy in Bangkok.
What does he charge sign and stamp a bit of paper in 20 seconds?
Cost nothing to stamp my marriage papers.
-
Suggest you speak to BK first, he has stamped copies of my marriage cert as being authentic - good enough for immigration.??

i dont think tops and any foodmarts have a noticeboard!!
Oh!
So what's that big board to the right of the entrance as you go into Foodmart, the one with all the adverts for cars, houses and condos stuck on it? Thai modern art?
I haven't been to Tops in a while, but I'm sure they used to have a free notice board for customers.
You mean foodland? yes? , Foodmart in Jomtien does have a notice board too (but never much ad's on it) - to the right and left of the entrance door but not nearly used so much as the Foodland one.
-
I guess we are all pretty much used to the fake goods such as watches, trainers, make up etc. here in Pattaya, but on a more serious note the above article says "fake spare parts for cars and other vehicles", a failure of one of these fake spares fitted to a vehicle could have serious consequences indeed!!
Well done Thai customs.
-
Was at immigration today and that place was VERY busy, seemed to be quite a few more foreigners around Jomtien beach and the connecting soi's, more than the last few weeks anyway?
-
I thought that this had already been discussed / decided, (according to earlier press reports anyway) about two weeks before the swampy seige???

The baht bus system is one of the most interesting and efficient public transport systems I've encountered. 5 baht, 10 baht, dont care.
What I would like to see is a bit more padding on the benches, and possibly that the m*fia start converting the bus fleet into battery powered vehicles.
The batteries would not last long with all that PEEP PEEP PEEP!!!!
-
Mr Bernd looks like he's about ready to pop open a can of whip-as_.
Another news report says he already did and the police had to separate them - yeehaa!
-
Just to add to the surfeit of names for this soi, it is also known by the monikors: soi Nong Kraborg [sp] and soi Paradise Villa (for the Paradise Villa housing moobaan located a kilo or two up this soi from Sukhumvit.
Nong Kraborg [sp?] is the soi before it (virtually opposite underwater world) and the two merge in to one just beside Paradise Villa.
-
Soi 89 is often referred to as soi Greenway or Soi Saatit School, it is actually called Soi Toonglom Talmaan. You can turn in to Greenway about 100m before soi 89 but it just takes you through the driving range back on to soi 89.
So if you are heading south on Sukhumvit soi 89 is about 200m past Underwater world (with underwater world being on your right) to the left - and yes there is a 7/11 on the corner.

Have i been in hibernation and all of a sudden woken up on April 1st????, this has got to be some kind of wind up!!
-
Think it will all end up a Chinese, Japanese, Korean , tourist thing. Coach loads of them
Not much of a westerner attraction.
Dual pricing. for sure.
No dual pricing as it is free to get in,(quite something considering it is a 350 million baht investment!!!) and the last two weekends it has been packed, you think it looks busy from Sukhumvit side? - there is also a 5 rai car park at the back access off the new relief road, fairly full this afternoon!
-
I've seen some "new" number on signage around town, 1377 for tourist assistance I
think it is? It is confusing, they need ONE NUMBER that should be answered 24 hrs.
It is 1337.
-
What i find amusing in all of this is that the PAD used the airport to protest against the man, Thaksin, whom without which, the airport at swampy would not have been built!! Makes me chuckle!

....when i was a boy I use to ride by bicycle 25miles to school, back then bicycles didnt have round wheels they had square ones, no gears, the seat was made from timber, then one day someone stole the bicycle, so i had to walk 25 miles to school and 25 miles home each day and my family couldnt afford shoes, so i was barefoot and the country was poor too, we didnt have paved roads and my feet grew blisters from walking on the rocks but we didnt have bandaids back then and the blisters becaume infected so we had to cut my feet off, back then we didnt have electric saws so we had to use a rusty old timber saw, ohh did i mention back then we didnt have prosthetic limbs so I used a branch from a tree......ahhh them were the days!
Bet you used to eat cold gravel too!!

Here's an idea:
Walk to the bar just after midnight with your pajamas on, hair messed up, and stand about 20m away facing the bar.
Put the sourest, angriest look on your face and cross your arms.
Shake your head and block your ears so they know you think it's too loud.
Stand there like this until the bar closes and they turn off the music.
Then put an overwhelming sense of relief on your face and shout, "Finally!"
Continue to do this night after night until they get the picture.
You mean act like a wifey then?
