  1. My wife has dual nationality: Thai and British. She is currently in Thailand. Can she travel back to the UK if her UK passport only has 3 months left? And would she be able to return to Thailand if her UK passport only has one month left? She would be checking in with her Thai passport so I guess it should be fine but I thought I'd double check..
  2. in the UK nothing will happen to him... they can't even lock up drug dealers. He most likely will get away with a slap on the wrist and a little fine
  3. the client is based in Europe and the work takes place in Europe also
  4. Hi, I have a couple of bank accounts in my name in Thailand. Although I'm a regular visitor and married to a Thai, I'm not officially resident in Thailand yet as I don't spend more than 6 months there per year ; I'm EU resident. I do some additional IT projects for an online remote work platform and given they are pretty flexible as to where they can pay me, I have the option to be paid into my Thai bank account, does anyone know if this would be a problem/bad idea? I'm thinking about the new tax law etc. Thanks 🙂
  5. Hi, Most sites have been taken down. There are some IPTV suppliers which cover most games though.. Very useful for CL! Cheers
  6. Hi, yes I do a bit but to be honest Eurosport has all the games so tend to use that more
  7. Hi, here's what happened in the end. We managed to get thru on the phone to someone at immigration, they said it wasn't recommended at all to apply for Thai wife visa, and it wouldn't be quicker anyway. Told us to come at their office in BKK to cancel the current visa. Got there, front desk lady told us to cancel we needed to show 400k in account .. we don't have that lying around so paused for a minute... Then went back inside and asked to proceed to the officer anyway ... When got to the officer he said : no need to cancel as you just get out the country and don't use it, it will cancel itself.. I showed him the answer from the embassy in Cambodia insisting clearly in having it cancelled first ????... He said 'let me check'. He came back in and said 'oh yes actually have to cancel'. I explained I didn't have 400k in my account, he said "don't need"...Asked him to cancel, he looked at my visa and said: it was issued in Chonburi so you can only cancel it there ???? Went there yesterday, had to write a letter and give copy of passport + passport, 30mn later it was cancelled (they give you 7 days to leave). I shall now be able to apply for non B ..
  8. I will ask on Monday. I will also ask them: given I also have a French passport, could I maybe leave the country, and re-enter on a tourist visa with my French passport and apply for a work permit... That might be simpler/quicker!!
  9. I think in a lot of cases it might be due to not only the fatty street food full of sugar but also those smoothies and ice drinks that they drink every day, they are full of syrop and condensed milk...
  10. I have an appointment at the immigration office on Monday, I will update this thread as it could be useful to people
  11. Ah! Thank you, yes I'm married to a Thai. So I will do that
  12. ah yes I actually remember the message saying he passed away some time ago, I did think the name was ringing a bell. RIP
