  1. if you install the largest size electricity meter they will spin slower thana lower amperage meter.

You may want to shade the outside unit if it is getting hit with direct sunlight.

Make sure the shop that charges your ac uses imported freon, some of the local stuff isnt very pure and has a high water content or whatever they put in to dilute it.

  5. You can still buy the tickets at the old bus station. They told me it was good to buy in advance because sometimes the buses are full, but was only half full when i boarded.

They make stops along the way to bangkok and pick up more passengers for 1st class.

  6. wake up ! .. theres a 3-4 year old click at PS car rent on phahinyothin road i rented for 5 days that has over 50k kilos on it.

top speed feels fine to me and would even say more stable since it doesnt drive like a tractor and is so smooth.

  7. 47k with no freebies and cash, 49.5k with freebies and finance

46k with spokes financed, probably 44kk cash no freebies.

or secondhand carbureted version for 36k...with 7500 kilos...1 year old

click is the best buy when considering refinement, the wave is like a tractor.

  8. Yes if you look at the numbers and do the math of course, but the CBR isnt losing topspeed with this gear change, it just rides a higher rpm and since the revolutions are higher it is stronger on top, since this engine likes higher rpms. The powerband which was subtle to non existent before, is now definately more pronounced.

Before the throttle would be pinned at 140kph, now I have about 10-15% left since the engine doesnt have to work so hard for the old 16/42 ratio. It rides the higher rpms which this engine likes to do.

I promise you will like it, the only downpoint is when you cruise slow in traffic in first gear and goose the throttle, the bike likes to jump from under you , peppy !

  9. Sheesh details...100-110cc...whats the diference?

If you really want to get technical the click is 108cc...the same size as the airblade and icon, but the icon doesnt use digital transisterized ignition.

The wave had 100 written on it...it wasnt 125cc.

if you want to save money the click has a version that is 3500 baht cheaper with spoke wheels, and a little cheaper withot the combibrake option.

  10. the click imo is a safer bike for female riders do to its simplicity, not to mention it is faster

    Your kidding right ??

no, im serious, the wave just makes alot of noise, but doesnt seem to go, the click may seem to be gutless because it is so much more quiet and smooth but it is indeed faster. In my opinion there is no comparison between the two.

Mate. My misses rents bikes.. Theres a fleet of them out there.. And I am a 110kg guy who lives near really steep hills.. Its very easy to see which ones have power and which dont..

Click is low geared.. it accelerates well but tops out fast.. Same same the airblade.. The nuovo is a bit longer, has a better top end.. Dreams have some torque but lack the hp of the wave..bt the wave pulls fine uphills and top end.. Only have one scooter faster than the waves and thats a old old cheer, which had a bore put on it when it needed a engine job not to be a racer.. Anyway that thing has >60,000 kms and still outpulls every other model and make even ones in thier first few 1000 of life. Just an absolute truck.

Just look at hp figures for click / nuovo and waves.. Then subtract the drivetrain loss for the autos.. Clear winner.

    They both have 100cc engines

Ive had no problem climbing hills of around 22.5 degrees steep accelerated to the top without bogging, well thats the steepest incline ive had to climb so far, and the click handled it well...and this was a dirt path with ruts and alot ofgravel.

But im sticking with my recommendation of the click, since it is so easy to ride especially for a girl, the waves clutchless engine can cause an unexperienced rider to slide the back tire during hard downshifts in wet weather...god forbid downhill in morning dew with light grains of sand on the road.

The clicks rear brake in conjunction with combirake, is easily adjusted by the twist of the rear brake nut on the drum arm, with your fingers. As a matter of fact the evening before i adjusted the rear brake to be stronger, then she tells me while she was riding later on she almost slammed into a car. If i didnt adjust the brake beforehand, she might be a little flatter.

The click reaches 100 kph easily on flat ground, on a hilly road over 30 degree inclines the wave may prove better since you can change the gearing, but lack of clutch will prove no better than a full auto when you start sliding backwards from climbing too steep a hill.

But for city driving with moderate hills the wave is no comparison to the click in simplicity, smoothness, quietness or acceleration.

The acceleration of the click is faster than the wave...hands down...but is quieter, so it does not seem that way.

The waves vibrate like mad and shake at high speeds.

I rented a carbureted click for 5 days. Then she got a new wave, and I took it back for a new fuel injection click. The new fuel injected version doesnt seem to have very noticeable gains over the carbureted one. Except in the top end, the power doesnt taper off as quickly as the carbureted version.

But right now the bike is only 3 days old.

  11. the click imo is a safer bike for female riders do to its simplicity, not to mention it is faster

  12. The new sprocket is thicker, but i cant guarantee the old sprocket was stock.

and you wont be losing any top speed, going from 120-140kph will just be a little louder, but the throatier tone sounds good. I made it past 140kph today.

  13. i gave my gf the downpayment to buy a click this last weekend...she came back with a wave instead to save money (good girl), i took two rides on it....then went back to the dealer and exchanged for a click the next day.

the click imo is a safer bike for female riders do to its simplicity, not to mention it is faster, smoother and better looking than the wave... if she wasn't so set on the click i would have gotten her an Icon instead.

the rear brake on the click can be hand adjusted very easily...

  14. I was running around alot today and am pegging 120kph much sooner and sustaining it without any problems, will do a full throttle test tomorrow. If alls well, may go back and experiment with a 14 tooth front.

140-150 kph was the top speed with the old 16/42 ratio.

16/47 as someone else also tried on this board, is also a 2.9 ratio (47/16) so should be the same, the new sprocket is a little bit thicker than the old one.

  15. Got a rear flat today, so decided to experiment with sprocket ratios while at it. I went from a 16/42 to a 15/44 ratio and the difference was very noticeable, i'd honestly say about 15-20% increase in torque. The bottom end from standstill is more bold and quite a bit more powerful and the bikes exhaust note is deeper also, and it feels like a totally different bike now. In a good way.

Total cost for inner tube and front sprocket, rear sprocket and chain including labor 600 baht.

Give it a try you'll like it

  16. took a 1st class VIP bus back to bangkok yesterday, the new bus terminal is not that far from the city center at all, should be about 40-50 baht by tuk tuk, but i got scammed and charged 80 baht.

from the city center you simply take phahonyothin road to the big 4 way intersection , hang a right, then travel for about 1-2 kilometer...before you see the little soi that leads to the new terminal...there will be english signs in white that say 500 meters.

not many people or buses at the terminal, id say there were more empty shophouses for rent than people waiting for buses at 830am...there is also much construction going on in this area...whether or not it will be able to become a new center of commerce is questionable...my cards say no, and rent will be based on hype, just on the fact that the bus station is there.

  17. just got back from a 7 day investigative mission of chiang rai...

rent is not 3k-5k for an acceptable location, for 3k-5k you will get a one story space, that is barely large enough to do anything and far from foot traffic...

on phahonyothin road, the main strip in chiang rai's center by the night bazarre, the rent next to the lebanese restaurant is 25k per month...other parts of town close to the city center are about 10k less.

for really cheap rent you will have to go to the area that Makro is, on the way to Mae Fah Luang Uni, very far...not someplace i would want to be.

after 10pm, the night bazarre area is fairly dead as well as the jetyod area, doing business in this area dedicated to farang tourist is a risky proposition, and would only bring limited profits...bet on about an average of 8-9 customers per night, 3 of them regulars and a maximum of 15 customers during the current season....average of 3 drinks per customer.

any increase in the number of bars would only serve to lower profits and sustainablility for other establishments also.

BUT there are other areas of the city which are booming with nightlife....and if i had to choose , id open a bar dedicated to thai clientelle...and would not open any business to exploit the women of chiang rai. This small town doesnt need the corruption of sex tourist to destroy its people...go to bangkok/pattaya for that.

all in all, there is a small window of oppurtunity in chiang rai if you can identify them, as i have :o
