  1. ....now found the English version https://safedrivedlt.com/driving-in-thailand/ Passport with non – immigrant visa : original and photo copy **non quota visa alien identity book (red book) : original and photo copy Residence certificate from embassy , immigration police office, government organization , international organization , work permit (with present resident address identified) and original photo copy Five -years Thai driving license : car and/or motorcycle driving license : original and photo copy Pictures 2 photos 2 inches (not more than 6 months) Fee : 505 baht
  2. Take a look here, https://safedrivedlt.com/ทำใบขับขี่/ใบขับขี่สากล/ you'll likely need to translate the pages but seems straightforward enough, and suggests that you can make an appointment for this service.
  3. It is a thing until Sydney joins the e-Visa party later this month. https://aseannow.com/topic/1321230-thai-consulate-in-sydney-au-launches-evisa-from-march-19-2024/
  4. And it is definitely a debit card? I thought all Kasikorn debit cards were Visa, but they do have Mastercard Credit cards which would begin with a 5.
  5. See posts above - you say it is activated but is your card already enabled for online payments?
  6. Yes. A Kasikorn debit card will not work online until it is registered with "verified by visa". I had to do that with mine before it would work with my "Grab" account.
  7. The 1st digit, presumably "4" in your case, indicates it is a Visa card. The next 5-7 digits identify the issuing bank. The last 8 identify your account. So they see it's a Visa debit card from Kasikorn and stop you proceeding further. However, why it works for others is a mystery.
  8. Not in my experience, THB 75000 in 8 seconds on 3 March, from a UK Wise account. I suspect the destination bank may also influence the time taken, i.e. if other than Bangkok or Kasikorn it may take longer perhaps.
  9. Whether Thai or Lao there seems always a price to pay there. Crossing with my gf (Lao) she is asked for money both ways by Lao immigration, normally gets away with less than asked for as she tells them she pays a lower amount at Savannakhet. And I also make sure my US$ are crispy, guy seemed rather disappointed the last time. They also had a new irritating arrival/departure card thing for me to fill out, never asked for the departure half on the return leg though.
  10. Lazada calls them "elephant tung", if that makes any sense.
  11. Full set? In the UK will cost from THB100k up so seems a fair price.
  12. This was asked in the Pattaya section, different rules apply.
  13. I wouldn't be worried where the OP is going, I was riding a motorbike around the same area earlier this year and all the regular roads are fine, mostly better than many in the UK I must say.
  14. Applying for an e-visa you are supposed to be in the country in which you are claiming to be, and might need to show travel confirmation from that location to Thailand as well as some proof of residency.
  15. I suspect he knew this already.
  16. That normally happens when you have an incoming transfer that has been initiated but has not yet completed. But presumably your transfer was a single transaction?
  17. In the URL (Uniform Resource Locator) box you enter whatever the URL address is for the service you have subscribed. It will be something like http://xxx.xxx:80. Without this you wont get far.
  18. Would that be the official website or one of the many non-official ones? https://overseas.mofa.go.kr/nl-en/brd/m_6971/view.do?seq=761638
  19. The e-visa application gives you the choice, maybe Canberra are a little slow with their memo.
  20. Highly unlikely as that is not how Wise works. They don't move your dollars to Thailand, only pay locally an equivalent amount in THB.
  21. Yes he's right. I did mine there in December. Actually I used the VFS E-Extension service which pre-approves the extension and give an appointment which limits the time needed at the office, under an hour in both our cases.
