  1. Yes, you can get one more 90 day entry. The "visit wife" extension on that will be 60 days, not 90, provided you didn't already have one on that visa.
  2. I think you're right. He said "I want to extend the contract 1 year". She said "OK".
  3. Indeed. Let's hope that doesn't apply to the fine folks at the Embassy.....from their website; Document that can verify applicant's current residency (Applicant must apply for e-Visa via specific Embassy/Consulate conforming with his/her consular jurisdiction and residency.) - Applicants are requested to submit their local utility bills eg. electricity bill/ gas / mobile phone / rental agreement, pension statement.
  4. They also sent an email asking for the following in addition to the documents requested on the e-visa website; Other request documents: - Flight details showing the applicant’s name, departure date, all flights en route from UK/Ireland/UK territories to Thailand
  5. I used a recent gas bill, awaiting outcome. Previously I also used a passport copy, albeit for a tourist visa but same requirement.
  6. I think you have answered your own question. You have broken the agreement you made, it seems reasonable she does not repay your deposit. If you also want to try not paying the final month you want to stay good luck with that, you might find yourself locked out.
  7. For me my entry stamp photo only showed one passport page, they wanted to see 2 pages (despite it not being relevant). For her they wanted TM30 (which incidentally they never asked from me).
  8. I did 2 of these in December, one for me and one for my GF. Both applications were approved within 3 or 4 days. VFS asked for additional documents in both cases which I emailed to them. At the appointment there were still some minor issues with copies not being exactly as they would like, but the IO staff did the amended copies themselves, no need to go off looking for a copy shop. As for the appointments mine took a little over 40 minutes largely due to some chaotic/random issuing of queue numbers, the GF was in and out in 15 minutes. I was more than happy with the whole process and the extra THB500 is worth paying for the hassle free appointment and speed.
  9. I thought the same but see another thread running about the METV from London where financial evidence is not being asked for of late.
  10. I have been several times lately, it's not a hassle of any kind, it's a taxi.
  11. In fact my Redmi phone and tablet both have a "dual app" feature which allows two separate sessions to run at the same time. I use it on my phone for WhatsApp and Line, both running different profiles/accounts. I never tried to run the same profile twice but I suspect it would work.
  12. You can have 1 running on the app and another on a browser tab, or have multiple tabs running multiple, or the same, FB accounts.
  13. Well, it's the same/similar app but mine is Android. I click top left to log in, actually it always logs me in automatically but I just logged out and back in to check. It may not be a perfect app but is does do what you were looking for, at least it does if you can log in to it.
  14. Use the Thai Airways app on your phone, easily shows your card and collected mileage.
  15. Thaivisa Connect? That stopped working some years ago, although the links are still here....https://aseannow.com/apps/
  16. Got caught out by that at Christmas. First guard followed at a distance until we passed the somtam place, then started shouting, then radioed ahead to his oppo who then started waving his arms in a thou shall not pass manner. Unfortunately it was too late to stop us yards from the barrier which fortunately we could limbo under before proceeding for a nice lunch. Won't do it again though and returned the long way round. Someone needs to dig a tunnel. I can imagine they will install razor wire/spikes in the future.
  17. I wouldn't worry for 1 second about immigration. It's not your concern if or how they "link" your new passport to your old one. And they won't transfer the overstay stamp to the new one either. Your bigger issue may be the airline, might be a good idea to call them when your new passport appears, or maybe their website will allow you to update the information.

  19. 6 months validity of his passport is worth £127.51/20 = £6.38. How much lower than that does it have to be to become cheap?
  20. It makes life easy. Car/bike arrives, already knows where you are going, get in/on, arrive, get out/off. No change issues, no physical actions required at all. Use a card with a low transaction limit and its secure enough, no less so than a pocket of cash.
  21. Yes. They are obliged to, and 99% likely they will do it online so no reason not to immediately give him a printour of the entry into the system.
