I will take a gamble with this here (not much money to loose) : https://www.lazada.co.th/products/sandisk-pen-drive-usb-flash-drive-usb-30-san-disk-64gb-usb-stick-pendrive-30-32gb-u-disk-cz48-usb-key-128gb-extreme-flashdisk-i972876993-s2080162284.html?mp=1

I bought in the past external hard disk (4 Gb) for the storage of my video and movies and I could connect this - for play back - to the USB port of my old TV.
Now that my new Smart TV does not accept large volume HD for play back I have transferred some video and movie files to a 16 Gb flash drive and this works well.
As I wanted to buy from a large Thai online supplier I noticed they have 2 Tb flash drives for less than 400 Baht (much cheaper than similar external hard disk)
Has any TVF member tried this and can such 2 Tb flash drive play back video when plugged in on Smart TV?

I raised 3 daughters (now adults) I was fortunate they had uniforms until the age of 18 so that they could escape the competition of a "fashion show"at school

You can prove your income by proving a transfer of 65k baht into a Thai bank from abroad for the past 12 months to apply for your extension. For some unknown reason it was omitted from that piece of paper you posted.
Many people have already done it at Chiang Mai immigration.
Also Pathum Thani I/O has in writing that I must have Embassy letter + bank letter certifying evidence of monthly transfers (which I provided)
Moreover they now wanted also an update of my bank book as if I was using the "money in the bank" method...so I was kicked out and I had to come back after depositing 100 Baht and then make an update.

Yes. Though may need a pretty large pharmacy to find it.
It is available in 3 brands:
Pitasor 2 (locally made so likely least expensive)
Livalo
Pitalip
Thank you

Can Livalo (pitovastatin) be bought over the counter in Thailand?
I lost my pills prescribed by a cardiologist in a government hospital but I cannot have a new appointment for several weeks

Three weeks ago, I placed an order with "i-herb" in the US for some products I use fully expecting delivery (Bangkok) to take a month or more with current conditions. I was shocked when the full order arrived 9 days later.
Shipping charges are very low and as long as an order is under US$80, customs doesn't seem to care.
I use iherb.com since several years with great satisfaction and indeed without being troubled by customs for small orders

The recommended safe social distancing measure is a minimum of 2 metres! This is the distance droplets are spread by coughs and sneezes! Why is it that Thailand has to have their own "safe" measurements, which aren't safe at all! It's the same with measurement of air pollution PM2.5 particles! Thailand's "safe" level is unsafe everywhere else in the world!
How can my barber keep a distance of minimum 2 meters?

Any country that shouts death to America and writes it on their missiles, doesn't deserve a shilling ! America First, Mr. President!
They were not asking American money but - based on their paid membership of the IMF - a loan to restore their balance of payments. Also I can assure you that their are more people in Iran loving the USA than in Saudi Arabia (I worked and lived in both countries)

I am a Dutch speaking person ...in my home country this does not automatically qualify me as a "teacher Dutch language", I need a degree to do this.
I wonder how many teachers "English" in Thailand are simply English speaking persons without any qualification to be a teacher.

Not many offices do a 2nd visit. They will inform you if one will be done when you do the application.
In Pathum Thani they make house visits - every year - since at least 5 years / last week they came to our house and it took only 5 minutes and it was friendly.

2) A country, who has its primary goal to completely destroy another country and kill its citizens, should be thown out of all (world) organisations
You are like Trump confused ...Iran did not ask for medical help from WHO (which can only provide humanitarian aid) but for temporary financial assistance (loan) from IMF during the economic crisis caused by ongoing Covid-19
Which country are pointing at in point 2 ....you mean the USA and its decision to overthrow Saddam and destabilize the whole Middle and Near East and hand over Iraq on a plate to Iran?
The ongoing conflict from Afghanistan to Syria and from Syria to Yemen is a religious war between Sunni's and Shia's and their allies ..it is as simple and complicated as that.

Iran always paid its contributions to IMF and was therefore entitled to apply for assistance / the IMF is not a bank but an institution created to provide temporary loans to restore the balance of payments of member states in times like this
Therefore the veto by the US is scandalous

Did he have proof of income from the German embassy in Bangkok. It is that or 12 months of transfers into a Thai bank but most offices prefer the proof from the embassy.
In Pathum Thani they require both for one year extension based on marriage : an embassy letter (translated and legalised) + letter from local bank.
In my case it is a bank letter about 12 monthly transfers well above the legal minimum + photocopy of my bank book.....and now the latest surprise I was sent back to the bank to get an update of my bank book which is normally only required for people with the 400.000 or 800.000 Baht requirement.

But every time a visitor from the west comes, they want to shake my hand. I'm pretty fit physically and rarely get sick any more. But the few times that I've gotten sick, it's because of the handshake with some western visitor! It's a silly tradition that needs to go away. I don't want to touch a stranger and they shouldn't want touch me. Thank you COVID!
This "hand shake" tradition is rooted in a very old European custom whereby persons meeting each other provide evidence that they have no weapon in their hand and that the meeting will be peaceful. I think it was a Viking custom because even the Romans said only "Ave" while raising their empty hand.

The leading coronavirus expert in the USA Dr Anthony Fauci says people should 'just forget about shaking hands' even after the coronavirus threat is over.
I grew up during the 1950ies as a teenager in Belgium near the Dutch border and we did not shake hands (except may-be if a deal was made between adults)...Later on when I went to work at an office in Brussels (mid 1960ies) I was surprised that at opening hour all the entering male employees went to kiss (on the cheek) the female employees and vice versa.
I guess this handshaking and kissing tradition came from Southern Europe but I am not sure.
Also when I lived during the 1970ies in Sweden there was no handshaking or kissing : people meeting lifted their right hand and said "Hej" and when leaving "Hej do"
May-be things have changed now but I was not in Europe since many years
Already a few weeks ago I was wondering why the situation in Thailand was not worse - even after the visit of many Chinese tourists in February - and I thought that the "wai" might be a factor.

A right Judas.
The other players were sleazy but Linda Tripp lowered the bar for betrayal of trust.
I would have understood if she would have spilled the beans after having learned in shock a confidential confession by her "friend" Monica.....but no.... she made secretly 20 hours of tape recordings. This was a carefully and viciously orchestrated character assassination....imagine the person you considered as your closest friend would do this to you ?

It is a government mandated order to restrict all non essential persons from entering the premisses including workmen to carry out renovations,
and BTW to the OP, being on a committee is considered as work nevermind if you get paid or not, so unless a foreigner has a work permit they're risking having an issues with immigration...
Only the Juristic Person Manager needs a work permit. This is not required for Committee members except if they are paid.
