How many of you actually believe that "wiring" is the reason for the delay?

I watched a Discovery Channel episode on the flutter test. I was beside myself when they showed that the composite body almost came apart during the test. The body actually did come loose from some of its fasteners and moved.

I was originally excited to fly on the A380 Now, well I just think its a Scarebus. I can do without getting on one of those for the first few years of operation.

Wiring. yeah, right!!!! It takes you 2 years to get the wiring right? OK!!!

I just wanted the answer as if the test was positive, I was to immediately take action to care for the child.

I did not feel it was my company's responsiblity to have a child on health care without evidence the child was mine.

Once the woman had admitted there was a chance it was another person's child, I did the math and found out our deed was about a month off from a full term pregnancy, which the birth was.

So, I had some doubts. When it was positively negative or I was excluded, well... Only time will sort out what plays out between those involved.

I am still friends with the mom and child. When I go to Bangkok, I prefer to stay with them rather than going out drinking. Ok, not all the time but most of it.

THe mom is a good person. I've known her now for 2 years. My hope is that she finds somebody to love and take care of her. I don't have any plans to marry anybody, so I'd like to keep our relationship platonic

The little girl is gorgeous, loving, and funny. If the real father could meet the child, I'm sure he'd take care of her.

Since then, the mom has had offers for people to adopt the child, offers to move abroad and marry men who have seen her picture, offers for marriage etc etc. Why she does not choose these offers is her decision.

Wow. That is pretty crazy.

I guess just another example of how cheap a life can be.

Maybe I should address the OP questions more.

I tried to arrange a DNA test thru Bumrungrad. They need like 1 or 2 weeks to schedule because the technician only does it once every week or 2, on certain days and you need an appointment. This didn't work for me as I do not live in Bangkok but only travel in as needed for work or play.

THe price at Bumrungrad is around $200 US if I recall correctly.

I explained to the mom that a DNA was required for me to put the child on health care with my work since I am not married to her.

Soo... I flew mom and child to SIngpaore and went to a specific lab that you can walk in and get it done. $900 SIng I believe which is around $600 US. You fill out the form for paternal/maternal check. you pay with a credit card. You need ID for all involved (dad?, mom, and child) Passports and birth certificate will do. They prick you for blood. THe baby's is drawn from the sole of the foot so no real problem with the child.

It takes about 3 business days then they call you in for a consultation to explain the results and you get 2 copies.

Well, once we got the negative news, WHOA!!! It turns your worlds upside down. In my case, I was a little irked to have been jerked around and supporting some girl and her daughter for over a year. SHe only admitted another person could be the father about 10 days before the DNA test. HOW CONVENIENT!! So, I felt like I'd been jerked around and the gig was up. I also felt bad for the kid as we had built a relationship.

The mom freaked. SHe got drunk and went nuts thinking about what she was going to tell friends and family. SHe also apologized for all the crap she put me through (how thoughtful).

The kid - what a great kid. Luckily she slept through her mom's drunk episode. Perhaps she felt something odd those first few days but now she still recognizes me and is allows a familiar relationship. I still dig being with the little one. Anybody who meets her will.

SO, there can be some emotional grief for you if the news shows you are excluded from paternity.

There could be repercussions for all of you, including family and friends.

But...... If there is doubt, then most likely your friends have doubts and the child may have doubts in the future.

Put the issue to rest and get it done

I had it done and it came up negative.

I am still friends with mom and the little girl. If the mom finds another man, so be it.

Now at least I know I am not liable for 18 years of somebody elses work.

By her admission, (the mother's), she is saying her daughter is not much of a find. How can she ask such a high price for a supposedly pudgy companion?

Think of all the mental baggage as well. Tell the mother that it is proven that mental stress is a result of the constant fat innuendos from her. This also reduces the fair market sinsod value.

I, too, got rid of a someone who had grown with ma and pa fighting all the time. Well, the wife thought this was normal. Me, I was frightened shitless.

SHe vowed to make the divorce as painful as possible, threatening me the whole ride until she finally put ink to paper and signed her name to the divorce papers.

It was well worth the effort to get away from that type of person.

Now, I feel I must call my tgf and let her know how much I appreciate her.

On the comment of eating heaps before signing off. I say do not eat heaps of carbs. A carb headache feels the same as a hangover. Try it. Eat a dinner or late night snack very high in carbs, like bread, popcorn, spaghetti, a couple of cokes then wake up the next morning with a hangover headache. same same except you don't have to apologize.
