    Remote? Are you kidding me?

Around four out of five Australians lived within 50kms from the coast in 1996 according to the latest estimates from the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

You watching to many Crocodile Dundee movies

I've taken the Indian Pacific from Sydney to Perth.I must say it travelled through a lot of remote areas IMHO. Very good meals were served. I've also taken the rail trip across Canada Halifax NS to Vancouver BC . That trip took 4-5 days as I recall.

I get Tamulosin OTC from different pharmacies. Side effects are dreadful like retrograde ejaculation and difficulty getting erection. I have over the last week started taking ground raw pumpkin seeds in a morning shake and although early days, I have not had to get up at night for the last 2-3 days. Worth a try.

The Tamulosin side effects were horrible for me.At 1st it worked good but after a few days I tossed it in the bin.I've had BPH for years and saw palmetto used to work but not so much these days.

I use this concoction now and it seems to help.

I also take pumpkin seed extract. All easily available on Lazada.

Let's all panic. The record temperature in Thailand rose by 0.9C since 2016.

El Nino doesn't bring "climate change" to the forefront, it brings El Nino to the forefront. It's a cyclic climate variation that has nothing to do with climate change.

This is so much nonsense just to fill up the news space.

Just for interest, you can calculate when the sun is 90 degrees overhead, for the highest theoretical temperature of the year.

Pattaya it's on April 24, Bangkok on April 26.

    http://suncalc.net/#/-26.117,28.1683,17/2021.06.01/07:23

In Thailand it's only about 4 months between the coldest and hottest months of the year... Dec to April

Jen..very accurate information for a change. The Greta's in the world are f'd up.How many predictions of climate disaster over the years have come to fruition? None.I've experienced the effects of El Nino on the BC west coast decades ago.It upsets certain patterns and then goes away. You want a laugh? Listen to an Al Gore speech. You'll piss yourself on hearing such a pile of bull<deleted>e.The Canadian carbon tax does not and will not reduce anything except the $ in your wallet.

I guess chemo does work for a few.

Every person that I know that had gone through chemotherapy has died. Obviously there's more to the mix than simply chemotherapy = doesn't work.

But imo it doesn't work for patients. It worked for the doctors, the hospital but not the patient

Correct M..a few years ago I was operated on for colon cancer. This reulted in a colostomy bag.The longest 2 years of my life. The Thai surgeon refused to reverse it until/unless I took the suggested chemo therapy.I refused.Reason being I had renal failure at the time and Chemo would have killed me.  I found a Dr in BKK who suggested a "PET" scan and if clear he would do the reversal for me.I did this and was "C" free.A bit later the procedure was reversed and I got my life back.Chemo is the worst possible thing IMHO.Its a racket for Dr and clinics.Nobody or very few survive that crap and lives to tell about it.

  5. Several years ago I had a lucrative contract for 3 months in Iraq (O&G) industry.I always wanted a Rolex Submariner and finally had enough money to afford one.

I bought it at a bonafide dealer in BKK. After a bit I was on a 2 week holiday in Bejing to see the Great Wall.A casual walk in the vicinity of my hotel drew so many stares I left it locked in the hotel room.

A very uncomfortable feeling.I sold it within a year of purchase after feeling like a target.

Tony was/is definitely a real person.

I joined his Gym with lifetime membership for B9000 discounted. Was great. Special aerobics classes 3 times a week and also aqua classes. Got my moneys worth I think.

Saw Tony live once after part of his 3rd Rd gym lost its roof and he was helping with structural damage removal.

Actually my ex wife worked for him as a secretary briefly. She got the job because her English was good as a result of me sending her to language classes.

Arrange that your love ones get your money before you die.

    Donate something to charities.

If you love cats, donate to sn organisation. Do domething good and you feel happy????

Giving while living is a mantra I've used.I've donated to my wife's sister and husband to get them started on building a new house. It's now complete. They were living in a hovel. They thank me these days while i'm still around.I get a lot of satisfaction from that.My wife and her single sister are well taken car of.Not rich but own 2 houses and some bullion.I won't need it where I'm going.555

That's the thing, I have known him for 30 years, back in the UK he is never like that, he only went out once or twice a week and would just sit in the bar have a few beers and chat. he has even been here before, he was here 10 years ago for my wedding and he wasn't anything like that but he was with a few others who maybe kept him grounded... He seems to have changed// I won't be inviting him back. That is for sure.

Back in the mid 90,s after I had made a few trips here from Canada a buddy wanted to come over with me.Okay says me,we stopped for a couple ales near the regional airport we needed to get to Vancouver. As we were going thru security they were looking at our carry on bags and his turn came.He was casually asked ,what do you have in the bag? His reply, "a gun and a knife" he chuckled.I couldn't believe my ears ! .So began his 1st trip to Thailand.

I got one of those from a Mail Boxes kiosk in Big-CX Pattaya, and was at least able to track it to the airport.. after that less details.

Correct..I recently sent an important document to the Cdn government via Thailand Post air mail registered. I received a formal receipt and tracking #.When I looked up the tracking a few days later all information stopped the day it left Thailand. So much for that.I can only hope it reached its destination.I must say though that I've received important docs from them with no issues.

Unless you have PR you cannot do that.

You need to apply for a yellow book.

My name is on my chanote.I have a 30 year lease with my step daughter registered as the owner outright. All done thru a lawyer.Pattaya land office in 2007.A friends wife challenged me about that once saying it was not possible. So I promptly went to the safe and produced said document. That night she she overdosed on crow.

I was in a government hospital for 4 days. I went to the emergency room with nasty chest pains and was admitted into cardiac intensive care ward after being treated by a doctor and probably 4 or 5 assistants for 3 or 4 hours in the emergency room.

On day 3 I went through the procedure of having a stent placed in my right pulmonary artery.

I received 8 different prescriptions on the day I was released.

    Total bill = 163k THB

I was treated well and the doctor in charge spoke excellent English. The only complaint was the food.

Please inform me which hospital or city? tnx

Tried to do my extension on my own for the first time. For 3 years I had been using an agency. The guy I dealt with inside took against me at once. He shoved my re-entry form aside, without telling me what I should do with it. A visa is useless to me without a multiple re-entry stamp. He then said I needed to go out make copies of ALL the pages of my savings book.  My savings book was easy though, showing a balance above 1 million for the past six months and never dropping under 600k for years. He then told me the TM30 and landlord's confirmation letter I had to show for my address were no good, saying "you want long term visa, need long term contract". By this time I'd had enough. I called a cab to take me to my usual visa agency.  I'll never deal direct for anything in Thailand if I can help it.

Laughing out loud.I did my own for several years until 1 day something similar happened to me.These days I don't even have to go to Soi 5 anymore. All taken care od easy peasy!

I agree it's what i imagine hell to be like, you queue up for 2+ hours in the heat, no seats, then tell you to go home, we're closing, come back tomorrow and it repeats.

They need a troubleshooter person walking around helping falang outside, a friendly farang volunteer could do it

I recall there used to be a fellow who did that several years back.He was a big help in explaining stuff.Alas he's gone and hasn't been replaced. I forget his name btw.
