Ok, 50 pounds? gees! And you said 50 pounds more too. How much does your banks take for regular transfers? I pay like 15 euro to transfer money, and then Bangkok Bank takes their regular 150 baht. That´s a normal International swift transfer from bank to bank.
Sorry I didn't do a breakdown I just sent a swift payment to my SCB account and a TW for same amount to BBL and compared what actually appeared in my accounts.

Be useful to say what office. At Jomtien they want a bank letter showing the foreign transfers. No TW pdf;s just the letter.
Did you try it personally? Very interested to see your reply because this is the office which I use. Also, grateful to know if you've seen any accounts of them showing leniency ie less than 12 monthly transfers.

In the link provided in post #38 it says you can use a SWIFT transfer as payment with TransferWise but the fee will be higher. It will though show a foreign transfer. The main question is will it give you more money in the end or not.
Do a few test runs before confirmation and then do one with your regular bank and see which one gives you more baht in the end.
I did a test, and transferring 65000 baht was about fifty pounds cheaper using TransferWise. I can't afford to lose that every month so looks like I'll be changing to the marriage visa 400k method unless something happens to change my mind before my next extension.

My TW transfer to my bkkb account last week was coded as a local transfer. Before it was coded a Foreign transfer.
Will it be coded a foreign transfer if I have it sent to my Kasikorn Account?
Anyone know for sure?
Only if it goes direct from TW to your Kasikorn account, but it could also go via BBL or TMB, in which case it would be coded as a domestic transfer.

Don't touch that aris..... some IOs are accepting corroborating evidence.
It's ok I have it stored on my machine just in case. I'm waiting for a report from someone attempting to show corroborating evidence at Jomtien Immigration.

Just use swift transfer instead and you will all get an FTT code in Bangkok Bank. That´s as easy as it can be. No hassle and everything clear.
I know, I used to do that with SCB, but it cost me some 50 pounds more than if I used TransferWise. That's why I opened a BBL account. Obviously, that's now backfired on me, but I have the option of doing the marriage extension.

What does the Credit Advice/Receipt from BBL show?
I'd ask them (BBL) if they'll include this most recent credit in their Immigration summary letter (listing funds credited from outside of Thailand)?
"Interbank Transfer Via SMART", in other words a domestic transfer. I could ask BBL about it, but I also have to plead leniency from immigration as I only managed to open the BBL account in February and will only have seven months of transfers when I go to do my extension. As i said, I have the 400,000 already in my account, so I may just go down the marriage extension route. I have a couple of months to decide.

It used to be a polite term for black people, when to say "black" was frowned upon; along with half a dozen other PC titles. A lot of people, including me who try not to upset anyone, have difficulty in keeping up.

Today I received my monthly transfer of 65,000 baht from TransferWise to BBL, and like many others on here, it was sent via Kasikorn and is recorded as "Interbank Transfer via SMART. The five other transfers since I opened the account in February came direct as International Transfers. Fortunately, I have a Thai wife and have over 400,000 in the bank, therefore I can go the marriage extension route. TransferWise said that I could phone them before each transfer to request it's sent direct to BBL, however I don't want to have to do that every month and anyway, it still only needs one to fail and that's your whole extension application up the chute. There're times, not many ???? when I'm glad that I'm married.
I do have a TransferWise PDF Transfer Confirmation which says "Sent to (me) at Bangkok bank (with account number)" but underneath it says "Paid out from Banking Partner, Kasikorn, Local Bank Transfer". I guess, as far as TI is concerned, I may as well wipe my aris on it.
It's a pity, because I've been doing retirement extensions for 12 years using the embassy letter and don't fancy the marriage extension route, but I guess that's what it has to be. I'll be extending in September, so I'd better stick a new black ink cartridge in the printer and start making the photocopies right away, or I won't get them finished ????-

Agreed. Also, if I was a stranger to the UK or US, I'd think that these remain and lefty protesters were supporting Boris and Trump by flying balloons depicting them. Damned kids in adult bodies these protesters, wish they'd return to their teaching jobs and quit bothering the sane.

Strange the way well-fed ladies seem to hold a grudge against the world. Maybe that's where the expression "getting pear shaped" came from.

"could add 30 billion pounds ($37.4 billion) a year to public borrowing by the 2020/21 financial year, the OBR said."
The 30 billion pounds we save by leaving will sort out the first year's public borrowing. Typical "project fear" blx story.

I've been with my Thai wife for 12 years now and am reasonably happy, but I do sometimes yearn for the shagging and drinking. After all, it's the main reason I came to the country in the first place after several boring years of living in France. Unfortunately, it only lasted three months before I got snared by the missus, bless her cotton socks ????

There are nine noisy dogs in the garden of my next door Thai neighbour which he can have a go at with my blessing. There're 15 more of the festering things in my small community of 7 houses which he's also welcome to sort out. There's constant noise from them almost 24/7. I haven't sat on my balcony for over three years now and have to keep all doors and windows shut, because when one of them kicks off, they all join in and the noise is horrendous. My Thai missus goes into panic mode if I say that I'm going to complain to next door or report it to the fuzz, so I have to live with it. Considering their size, why did the good lord have to give them such a loud bark? Why didn't he quit at the Basenji?

No nor me, but the guy you replied to is one of the chief apologists. He seems to love bashing his own kind, that's why I have him on ignore.

There's no excuse for leaking classified information, especially as the leaker will have signed the official secrets act, no doubt about it. I hope they throw the book at the leaker when found. Saying that, I couldn't be more pleased that Darroch will no longer be our man in the US.

I'm not too interested in tennis, but after Williams' numerous temper tantrums I'm really pleased that she was beaten. Well done Simona!

So that's what happened to the two birthday parcels my kids sent me about three months back! I did tell the kids not to bother, once bitten and all that.

They've already asked the electorate and remainers refuse to accept the democratic result. Also if Brexit were binned, that would be the end of democracy in the UK as we know it.

What about the frenchman that drove into it, and are driving a Fino on trafficated roads, with bad sight? He´s probably toally innocent, right?
We do not know if he was drunk too, maybe, maybe not. Anyway, he did wrong and the woman had bought a new car a week ago. I can totally understand the reaction. There is no need for all these irresponsible overaged foreign teenagers that stopped use their brain many years ago.I think everyone"s missing the point here, it doesn't matter who's at fault. The guy's on the ground in a pool of blood. Beggar the festering car, worry about it later. Cheez, some people.

Quote “Malicious leaks of this nature ... can actually lead to a damage to that relationship, which can therefore affect our wider security interest.” Unquote
It isn't the leak that's the problem, it's the fact that our ambassador actually said it. If true, then fire Darroch (who's position is now untenable), then find out who leaked it, in that order. The leaker must've had clearance up to at least "Secret" to have had access to that report.

"Combination method" to get to 800k. Still possible?
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
There are a few things that we need first hand reports on on here ie combo method, leniency and corroborating evidence for intl transfers recorded as domestic by bank. Stating which office used is vital.
