Test & Go Plus Plus
ubonjoe replied to Havenstreet1940's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
She could try to do that but not sure it would be accepted. To avoid the trip she might be able to arrange the test with a hotel closer to where she is at. She could do a search here for a SHAplus+ hotel. https://web.thailandsha.com/shaextraplus -
Any updates of Savannakhet visa in 2022?
ubonjoe replied to Honthy's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Have seen nothing new about them issuing visas. The problem at this time is being able to enter Laos. The land border crossing are still closed. You can fly to Vientiane as part of a tour group. -
90 day notification: Tourist Visa
ubonjoe replied to changthenomad's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Most immigration offices do not enforce the 90 day reporting for tourist visa and visa exempt entries. They consider the extensions you have to get to stay longer equal to doing one. -
Thai Non-O Visa Expires 26 March 2022
ubonjoe replied to Dan747's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You can apply for a one year extension of stay based upon being married to a Thai at immigration. You will need 400k baht in a Thai Bank in your name only for 2 months on the day you apply. After the extension is approved you can apply for a multiple re-entry to keep the remainder of your extension valid when you enter the country. You can also apply for a 60 day extension to visit your wife to get more time to have the money in the bank. -
I am not sure about them accepting a certified copy from a lawyer. The Department of Consular Affairs of the MFA will certify them. See: https://consular.mfa.go.th/th/publicservice/การรับรองเอกสารที่ออกโดยหน่วยงานต่างๆ

What are the copies being used for? Some law offices can notarize them as certified as true and correct for use here in the country.

Use Google translate on it. For forms in Thai that is different problem and only the Google translate app is possible by using the camera and it is not that good. If you change the website to English you cannot find the same info on the website that is available in Thai only. Here is screen grab of the info in English (translated forms Thai) from the embassy website.

I cannot understand why your newsletters stopped since you are the only posting about not getting them at this time. I am getting mine twice a day everyday. Are you sure you didn't accidentally click this at the bottom the newsletter.

I suggest you read my posts. Entering on her US passport will only create more problems than it is worth. She would get a 30 day visa exempt entry and then to stay longer she would have to apply for a one year extension as a returning Thai national. When Thai's enter with foreign passport they have to meet all the immigration requirements. I think his problem is resolved since she can get a emergency travel document by mail that will allow her to enter as a Thai.
