  1. You will need the insurance to get the visa. Ninety days is enough. If I recall some people using travel insurance to meet the requirements. They may not show the outpatient/inpatient coverage separately but it will cover all treatment up to an amount higher than the 400k baht minimum. The 40/400k baht insurance is shown on about all embassies and official consulates since it was offered at those that do not the non-o for retirement. Another option is to enter visa exempt or with a tourist visa and apply for the non-o visa at immigration.
  2. It certainly do need $50,000 covid 19 insurance coverage to enter the country.
  3. It sometimes called a visa waiver entry that allows 30 day stay that can be extended for 30 days.
  4. There is a limit on how early you can apply for a Thailand Pass. Everything uploaded needs to be in the jpeg format. Screenshots will accepted if they are clear. You can find a lot info here. https://consular.mfa.go.th/th/content/thailand-pass-faqs-2 Or here: https://medium.com/thailand-pass
  5. i have no source for it. I can only confirm what people posting on this forum about needing a police clearance. I do know that it is not required for teaching at the a university. A police clearance is not required to apply for a non-b visa at immigration. See: https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/2-อาจารย์-รหัสB.pdf In the past (pre covid) at some nearby embassies and consulate a Thai police clearance was needed. And in Penang they wanted one from your home country.
  6. He could enter visa exempt and apply for a non-o visa at immigration and and then a one year extension of stay at immigration. He will need 800k baht in a Thai bank on the day he applies for the non-o visa and then 2 months on the day he applies for the extension of stay.
  7. Not visa or extension related. Moved to the insurance forum.
  8. The embassy in Canberra or the official consulate in Sydney will not ask for a police clearance unless he is applying for Non-OA visa or STV.
  9. I assume you are applying for a extension of stay at immigration. There is no 18 month rule when applying for a extension of stay. The 18 month rule is only for applying for a multiple entry visa at a embassy or consulate. If your passport does not have 12 months of validity remaining on its validity your extension of stay will be issued to the day your passport expires. You cannot switch passports without leaving and re-entering the country.
  10. Ask the bank for a credit advice for that transfer. It will show it was a international transfer. How are you transfering you funds into the country?
  11. Turn off your VPN and it will work. I just opened the site and it is working.
  12. Try using the new online reporting site. https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/#/login You could use it on a mobile browser. The glitch with the app about the overstaying is a problem for only a few people and it appears to be related to the system you local office is using. I suspect that after doing one report on the new online reporting site the app may work OK.
  13. You could do the online report today if you wanted to. You are within the window to do the report. For android the app is here. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=th.go.immigration.immeService&hl=en For Apple it is here. https://apps.apple.com/th/app/imm-eservice/id1464624948 If you have problems with the app you could also open the new site on your mobile browser.
  14. Immigration does not move visas. They will only transfer the stamps they have done to your new passport. There is no fee to have you stamps transferred.
  15. You can do the online report up to 15 days early to the report date. Was that on the new site or the mobile app? Double check you entered everything correctly when you complete the report and try it again if you discover you made a mistake.
  16. The app is almost the same as the old site. Did you get message for the reason you could do it on the app. The BOI checkbox is so it is sent to the correct office for approval. It appears the app is now accessing the records on the new reporting site. I tried it yesterday and it shows my report done on the new site I did this month. It correctly gave me the notice I was outside the reporting window when I tried to do a report.
  17. They were probably calling division 5 for the info since that is who they would report to. Division 5 and Chiang Mai immigration are not in the same location in CM. Change Wattana immigration office is under Division 1 and others are under the the authority of their respective divisions they are under.
  18. Chiang Mai is under division 5 for the northern region of the country and the headquarters for it are located in CM.
  19. No The head office is the Immigration Bureau located in Suan Plu. Under it are 6 division level division offices over Bangkok and the five regions of the country.
  20. The education ministry requires a police clearance for teaching in grades from k to 12. Whether it is needed to apply for a non-b visa depends upon where you apply for it.
  21. Ninety day reporting is reset when you leave and re-enter the country. Your report would be due 90 days from the day you entered the country. It seems immigration officer could of changed you report date to 90 days from when you arrived in the country.
