Work permit cancellation
ubonjoe replied to markdav13s's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Your current extension cancelation and the new extension application must be done on the same day. Your would work permit could be canceled the day before. Some offices may want the receipt for the cancelation to cancel your extension. -

Retirement Visa Thailand ?
ubonjoe replied to ThaiNoobie101's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
If you enter visa exempt the airline can ask to see a onward ticket within 30 days of arrival. It can be a one way ticket to anywhere or a temporary onward ticket that can be found online. If entering with a valid visa a ticket out of the country is not required. -

Thai pass insurance query
ubonjoe replied to HKexpat's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The Thailand Pass site and others state it as $50,000 US for covid 19 insurance coverage. There is no real rule that states you need it for your entire length of say if living here long term. You do not even need to put a departure date if you select returning to Thailand when registering for the Thailand pass. Immigration does not enforce the covid 19 insurance requirement when entering the country. Many people have entered with only 30 days of covid 19 insurance. -
Immigration would want proof of a year of transfers to prove the income. Only for the first extension after entering the country will they allows 2 or the 3 months. Anybody that has been here for a extended period of time will be turned down. Those with multiple entry non-o visas have been turned down unless they can show a year of transfers.

TM 30 new house owner.
ubonjoe replied to kingstonkid's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I have never been asked for a TM30 when applying for my extensions. We just use a rental contract and etc. We have our own house in a village but moved to the city to get our kids into a better school. When I applied for my extension last year they put a TM30 receipt in my passport and I didn't even notice it was in it until later. -
Duration of stay is mostly meant to be for those that do not live here. You can get a Thailand Pass with 30 days of the insurance. Immigration does not check to see if you have insurance for your stay when they stamp into the country. If you make a short trip out of the country you would only need 30 days of insurance.

TM 30 new house owner.
ubonjoe replied to kingstonkid's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
If your address has not changed there is no need to do a TM30 report. When you do your next extension application you would use her house book and ID card to prove your address and probably a short statement from her that you are living in her house. -
90 Day online report query
ubonjoe replied to JRG23's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I don't think we are talking about the same site. On the new 90 report site it only has this on the page. Login page for new site is here. https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/#/login The old site gives you a choice of reference number or passport number and it does not show reports done on the new site. -
