You can only upload a file that is a jpg and etc for images. You cannot upload a folder. It should not take more than 2 or 3 business days for them to do the approval of your visa application. You can do the COE up to 30 days before your flight to get pre approval but you will not get final approval until a few days before the day of your flight. The will send you an email with your visa on it that you will have to print out and show to the airline and immigration when you arrive.

Non O based on retirement
ubonjoe replied to Leonard Desharnais's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You cannot change your non immigrant visa categories at immigration. You will change your extension of stay based upon working to retirement. You will need a letter from your employer to cancel your current extension of the day you apply for the extension based upon retirement. 1. No 2. There is no 90 day extension you can apply for. 3. You will have to apply for the extension on the day you cancel your current extension. The 800k baht will have to be the bank for 2 months on the day your apply for the extension of stay based upon retirement. -
Returning Aussie Visa requirements
ubonjoe replied to aussiexpat's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
People often post incorrect or confusing info. The 800k baht has to be in the bank on the day you apply for the non-o visa at immigration. No need to have it in the bank for 2 months at that time. Here are the requirements. https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/8-1.pdf You will need to prove it came from abroad unless it has been in the bank for long time on the day you apply, -

Returning Aussie Visa requirements

You have to deposit the 800k baht before number 3. The official rule for the extension of stay application is 2 months (not 60 days) on the day you apply. It depends upon the airline you are flying on. Many will ask to see a ticket out of the country within 30 days since that is a requirement for a visa exempt entry. Thai immigration (not customs) seldom asks to to see the ticket out of the country. -
Best to register the marriage here. Is she in Australia now? After getting married in Australia it requires the marriage certificate has be legalized and translated to to Thai and be certified by the Department of consular affairs. The the foreign marriage has to be registered at a Amphoe to get a Kor Ror 22 marriage registry that is required by immigration to apply for a non-o visa and extension of stay based upon marriage to a Thai.

Covid extension for STV?
ubonjoe replied to sallecc's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I don't recall any report by anybody that has done it. -
You cannot change your non immigrant visa categories. You will change the reason for your extension of stay based upon working to one based upon marriage to a Thai. You will need a termination letter from your employer to cancel your current extension on the day you apply for a new one. Your new extension will start on the day you apply since your current one will be cancelled. If you need more time to have the 400k baht in the bank for 2 months you can apply for a 60 day extension to visit your wife. You will need the termination letter to apply for it. Here is my general list of required documents and etc. Marriage Extension Requirements 2.pdf

Returning Aussie Visa requirements
ubonjoe replied to aussiexpat's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
That is still correct. But you have to remember you have to have at least 15 days remaining on your permit to stay or the 30 day extension of it to apply for the 90 day non-o visa entry. -
Re-entry Permits for Non-O Retirement Visa
ubonjoe replied to Danderman123's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
If you mean a stamp like this one that is correct up to the valid until date on it. But you have to remember that your permit to stay date will be the same date shown on the stamp. -
Re-entry Permits for Non-O Retirement Visa
ubonjoe replied to Danderman123's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You have permanent registry and that is different re-entry permit than what the topic is about. Yours is for a non quota immigrant visa. Others have a non immigrant visa. -
That if for those that have a non-o visa or a re-entry permit for a extension of stay based upon detriment. If she could get a COE there would be allowance similar to this one for working with a work permit. It was allowed there would be one that states something similar to what is says but for those on retirement. I can assure you that others have tried to get a non- o visa and a COE before for being a family member of a of a person on a OA visa or non-o visa on for retirement. If your wife is 50 or over she could apply for a non-o visa for retirement and then a extension for being a member of your family. Others have done it. It would require her to show a small amount of money in the bank and 90 days of medical insurance. See: https://thaiembdc.org/2020/11/17/nonoretirement/ As I wrote before immigration will not issue a non-o visa for being a member of the family member of a person on a OA visa or extension of stay based upon retirement. List of them is here. https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/issuing-and-changing-type-of-visa/

Refused Entry Into Thailand With COE Question
ubonjoe replied to Banana7's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I don't recall anybody being denied entry for not having the app installed. Some people do not even have a smartphone.
