  1. Your CDC card will be accepted. The Thai embassy and the official consulates in the US are familiar with the CDC card not having all that info on it.
  2. You will choose the reason when you complete this affidavit. 60 Day Covid 19 Extension Affidavit.pdf229.8 kB · 689 downloads Covid 19 is a good reason since you cannot easily leave and re-enter the country due to it.
  3. They have always kept the arrival portion of the card and then give you the departure part of the card.
  4. A normal tourist visa only allows a 60 day permit to stay when you enter the country. Only the the special tourist visa (STV) allows a 90 day entry.
  5. The will not request any additional info when applying for a single entry tourist visa. That is just a standard line on the visa application.
  6. That depends upon the Department of Employment office you apply for the work permit at. The application for one should be accepted with proof that your non-o visa was issued for volunteer work since the non-o visa can be issued for retirement and family members of those on other extensions of stay. Agents probably not fully aware of what is needed to apply for work permit. The rules only state you need a non immigrant visa to have one issued but they can be applied for with a tourist visa entry and issued after the applicant get a non immigrant visa. You only need a work permit application approval letter to change to a extension based upon working.
  7. That would only be for those living in the US or living here and using a US address for the SSA. Those using their address for here get their payments on the 3rd of the month and have already received them this month.
  8. I am not sure they will check to see if it is still valid. I have you checked on changing your cancelled flight to a earlier one.
  9. 1. It is 2 months. 2. No 3. When you get your extension stamp at the end of the 30 day under consideration period after your extension of stay application is accepted.
  10. Immigration and the airlines will not ask for a return or onward ticket since it is not required if you have a valid visa for entry. But most embassies and official consulate want ticket out of the country within 60 day to apply for a tourist visa.
  11. Yes It was changed to 2 months for every extension in March of 2019. The new rules also state you have to keep the 800k baht in the bank for 3 months after the day you apply and then 400k baht for the remainder of the year or until the day you top up your account to 800k baht for the next etension.
  12. That would be accepted if your are applying for a single entry tourist visa.
  13. You cannot change from a STV visa category ot any other type of visa. That is written in the rules for the STV.
  14. 1. yes 2. yes 3. The extension of stay is tied to one employer. If you change jobs or change the reason to education it has to be canceled. You cannot change from a non-b visa to a non-ed visa without leaving the country.
  15. The will accept it without your passport number on it. Other have had the same problem and it was accepted. I suspect very few countries put passport number on the certificates.
  16. He wants to apply for a extension based upon retirement. He wrote that in his first topic. He is in Bangkok so that would impossible.
  17. I am sure it is not required due to what is written in red under the 2 lines.
  18. I assume you mean a extension of stay based upon working not a 90 day entry from a non-b visa. It is possible to change employers with having to leave the country. A termination letter from the current employer to cancel the existing extension and the supporting documents to apply for a new extension from your new employer. A work permit application approval letter will be needed to apply for the new extension. Then after the new extension is issued the old work permit can be canceled and a new work permit is issued,
  19. I think most AQ hotels will refund the unneeded extra 7 days. Contact the hotel about it.
  20. You will not need to a 90 day report before you leave. As soon as you leave the country your 90 day report count ends. You start a new 90 days when you enter the country. Immigration at airports do not check for 90 day reports.
  21. More than one embassy websites are stating it is 30 day now. No first hand reports from anybody yet that has entered visa exempt since the the 1st about it. If the embassy or official consulate you apply for a tourist visa at are using the e visa website they are emailing a stickerless visa to applicants. No need to mail your passport.
  22. No problem to apply for a non-o visa using a non Thai marriage certificate. For a non-o visa and a 60 day extension a foreign marriage certificate will be accepted. For a on year extension based upon marriage the foreign marriage would have to be registered at a Amphoe to get Kor Ror 22 foreign marriage registry.
  23. That is not correct. It will start on the day the report is done. Been there and done that many times.
  24. Which office told you it needed to be in the bank for 2 months. I would guess Jomtien since there have been reports of them doing that. Same for the special fee that was mentioned. The is nothing in the written requirements stating it has be in the bank for any amount of time. See: https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/8-1.pdf
  25. I wonder if they would do a 60 day covid 19 extension. How long will you have the money bank when your permit to stay ends? Maybe try doing your extension and having it rejected and then ask for a 60 day covid 19 extension.
