90 Day Report Question
ubonjoe replied to Skeptic7's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You can do the 90 day report up to 15 days before the report that includes the report date in the count. You can also do it 7 days after the report date. -
There are no special circumstances needed to have somebody to do the 90 day report for you. It can be anybody you designate to do it. At most offices all that is needed is completed TM47 form, your passport and the receipt for you most recent report. This from the immigration website. "2. The foreigner authorises another person to make the notification" See: https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?page_id=1666

You and apply for a another 60 day covid 19 extension. The current extension of the order for them ends at the end of September but I am certain it will be extended again.

Only the first report after applying for the first extension of stay requires doing it in person. -
Permanent residency approval time
ubonjoe replied to MRtommyR's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
After January first of 2022. -
There is no 7 days. That went away years ago. The only way you can get 7 days if to apply for a extension, pay the 1900 baht fee and then be granted 7 days to leave the country. But in case of a divorce you would typically have time to prepare to apply for a different extension before it becomes final.

Non O visa extension and expiry date.
ubonjoe replied to tomaway's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Since you will be in the sandbox you might be able to go to immigration and apply for a 60 day extension to visit your wife and then do the one year extension near the end of it. A multiple entry non-o visa is almost worthless at this time since you cannot easily leave and re-enter the country to get a new 90 day entry. -
Non O visa extension and expiry date.
ubonjoe replied to tomaway's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You have a extension of stay. Visas are not extended. Using the re-entry permit you will only be stamped into to the country to November 6th which is day your extension of stay ends. Best to arrive earlier than November 1st since you would have problems doing the extension. -
It is little different when using 40k baht income from working to apply for the extension. They normally are a little more flexible and that is why a average is allowed. You will also need your tax return for last year. One thing that could be done is if you employer could declare and deduct the income tax for that amount. You do not need to prove the income was paid into a bank account.

The 60 day and the 3 months rule for the first extension went away in 2019 when the new rules went into effect. It is now 2 months for every extension. This from the immigration order change clause 2.22 of the immigration order. Download: Police Order 35/2562 Changing 327/2557 Clause 2.22 The immigration website has not been updated for many years now.

You have the choice to apply for a single entry non-o visa based upon marriage to a Thai at the embassy. You would need to show the equivalent of 20k baht in a bank. No need for medical insurance to do the application. Or you could enter visa exempt and then apply for non-o visa based upon marriage or retirement. For marriage you need 400k baht in a Thai bank in your name only and for retirement 800k baht on the day you apply. You wife will not need the covid 19 insurance.
