the thai license is the way to go as it is also a legal id !
you don't have to carry your passport-i just got a ticket at the airport
and hadn't even thought about it when she asked me but i just gave her my license
many dual priced thai venues will give you the thai price if you tell them and show the license

good advice already given by others
i just want to second the santitam location
and want to add too that riding the bike home at night 35 k is just murder.
learning to ride the bike is good but not for that purpose.t is even far in the car after partying in town.

thanks a bunch for the tips-went last night and enjoyed a meal at the cat house which is just further back and on the other side of the soi from the former tuskers -the menu is promising the prices reasonable and burrito hit the spot.

take the ordinary bus-the mountain air does not need conditioning
also the minibus will drive you around for on hr plus in chiang mai to pick up others and cargo-
watching the local scene on the 60 bt bus is far more entertaining !

any woman looking for a man is looking for a man-I found that true in many societies and levels therein-they will generally expect some form of pampering, protection and initiative from you combined with the finesse endemic to their class.thai professionals are no exception other than the pros on loi kroh who just expect money.
