  1. take the ordinary bus-the mountain air does not need conditioning

also the minibus will drive you around for on hr plus in chiang mai to pick up others and cargo-

watching the local scene on the 60 bt bus is far more entertaining !

  2. any woman looking for a man is looking for a man-I found that true in many societies and levels therein-they will generally expect some form of pampering, protection and initiative from you combined with the finesse endemic to their class.thai professionals are no exception other than the pros on loi kroh who just expect money.

  3. the best you can do is keep the stuff clean ,intact, sorted bundled- and all will be reused or recycled whether you sell it or let others have it-the vegetarian society also used to take it at their place on mahidol rd to finance their free/discount meals

  4. here in serapi is a sunday market where sometimes i see a woman sitting with puppies when i go there early enough(like 3 pm) -later they are generally gone-maybe i your wife wants to try that kind a thing -seeing them is better than reading about them, much better-

any busy spot will probably do- good luck-we really love ours btw- he is just great--thanks again !!!

You should go to hospital, now you can take only a little paracetamol but not aspirine (ibuprofen). http://www.chiangmai...orrhagic-fever/

thge bit about aspirin is correct since dengue drasically reduces the platelets in the blood and aspirin also keeps the blood from clotting

    ibuprofen however is not aspirin

one thing that helped me a lot me a lot where pills against nausea or vomiting so i could actually drink and eat.

drinking lots of fluid is the most important.

  6. i wish to change my appointment online but could not figure out how to do it- there was no clue on the website that i saw- any ideas?

what i could not manage was to cancel the old one before getting the new one which is easy enough....

  7. thanks everybody for the good advice and entertainment- but mostly to philw who gladly handed over one of his fine puppies-there are three left by the way as you can see in his post-uptymf-

So a cinema in Thailand shows movies in Thai? How is that bad? The Thais would prefer seeing movies in Thai I suppose. When they showed movies in English, I'd occasionally go. Sometimes there would be less than 10 people in the theatre. They know their market. You may not like it but it was probably a good business decision.

i would really be happy of they were in thai with english subtitles-this way everybody could be happy and i could go with the missus

the same with thai tv -i think it would be totally sufficient to have some english sub's at the 11hr news and with the occasional movie...

  10. what i don't understand is the phrase lose everything as in: all your assets-when it clearly implies give everything away -

but to be constructive and help out i would be willing to take the girl in question for a test ride

and given my excellent experience in the field- come up with the verdict.

BANGKOK, 26 May 2012 (NNT) – An annual international film festival, featuring a variety of cinematic works from Europe, is set to take off later this month.

The EU Film Festival 2012, which is scheduled to begin on May 30th in Bangkok, has boasted to present 23 films from 17 European Union-member countries.

According to organizers, a broad range of film genre will be available for interested movie-goers, from children to drama, romance, comedy and documentary.

Moreover, both latest films and those for the old days that tell stories of Europe in the 1900’s and the foundation of European culture will be available for screening.

Among interesting movies set to be presented this year are “The Substitute”, which is a comedy about an elementary school teacher who can read children’s minds, “Charlotte: A Royal at War” which unveils untold stories during the third Reich empire of Hitler, “Welcome” which tells the account of a 17-year-old boy’s swimming attempt through the English Channel, and “The Flying Pigs” which features the Polish football business.

The Bangkok’s EU Film Festival 2012 will be officially opened on May 30th and run until June 10th at the Bangkok Art and Culture Center, before the event moves to Chiang Mai, where it will run during June 15th and 24th.

  12. Well I am 70 and the cheapest I would be able to get would be about $1,660 U. S..

I really don't think you are going to find any thing that is decent for under 30,000 baht what ever age you are.

if the 1660 $ is actually per year would you mind sharing the company you get this from?

  13. as the header says i want to make sure i can stay at my house should anything happen to the wife and the family inherits all....i saw some recommendations like summalee at tanin but maybe there is somebody less busy or less expensive or both who can do such a run of the mill contract and record it at the tambon office

  14. when i had the house built there was only one inspection and they insisted on grounding otherwise there would have been no electrical service.

a third wire was then run to all receptacles etc. and connected to the grounding rod.

to this day i still don't understand the reason since when you have two wires one is usually the hot or the phase and the other one the ground. most appliances have only two connections at the plug for that matter.some time ago when things had a metal housing it was this that was connected to a separate ground.but now it is all plastic and now there are two seperate wires form every outlet going to the same g-rod.
