I still use Skype for Oz Goverment/Bank type calls , also use it a lot in Thailand as friends have it on--so thats free........

If you like Crime / Thrillers, there were 2 stand out ones in the last few years IMO.... that maybe you missed . Both were Canadian Cardinal & Three pines. The Canadians do turn out some good crime stuff.......Australia not so much IMO, Cardinal ran for a few years 2016 on , A Very dark series. Both are on the pirates. I guess its a measure of if something is good, when years latter people are still downloading it. .

That's frustrating for you--I did get the same silliness when I lived in Pattaya for some years. Usually meant they would like some payment, but not always, sometimes just plain ignorant ---had a friend who wanted buy land in his wife name & to take out a usufruct. (not 100% good when its your wife) on some land further out. The Land office that he went to had not even heard of usufruct, and when his lawyer started to explain it, the woman in charge just kept saying..." Oh I dont like that--"Oh that doesn't sound right" When the lawyer even said that he would fax her the Goverment details on usufruct, she just kept repeating---"But I dont like it" ...Lawyers advice--try to find land somewhere else , its really not worth pursuing here. Yer civil servants here---They can really make some things in life difficult Yellow book--Pink card, does come quite handy, but if its that difficult to get where you are then --you can get by without it.

They do sell anti fogging spray---I have even seen it in DIY....very cheap...... also as already posted I have seen the tooth paste used on Youtube.....seems to do the trick.

If you didn't even bother to venture down the road to Vang Vieng---or even a little further to Luang Prabang Then you wasted your time going to Laos...(if indeed you even went, other then to do a visa run) Vang Vieng in Laos -(Quote--"is probably one of the most beautiful places in Southeast Asia." ---in the opinion of Google (https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=what+is+in+vang+vieng) Luang Prabang = wonderful--beautiful, unique (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) see it while it still there---which in its present form may not be a lot longer. 12% of Laos income is from selling electricity (guess who to) ---25 more Hydro dams planed for the very near future one which will alter Luang Prabang for ever. Are the people dirt poor-- Yes...............after being on this site for a few years , I feel thats just what a lot of the posters here are looking for.
