I think so long as it shows the amount covered ($20,000 now) and that it covers Covid then it should be ok. I had the same problem and there were a couple of pages that covered both of these. I'll try to find the one I used and post it.

Thailand has ”all of March” to avoid new Covid restrictions
kimamey replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
What about the long term effects of Covid? It's only been around for less than 30 months. As for the vaccines there's always the possibility of unknown long term effects but the science behind these vaccines has been around for some time. A long time for some of them. -
Expecting Too Much?
kimamey replied to Havenstreet1940's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I've just tried the first few questions and if you select 'Returning to Thailand' the departure date disappears. I didn't get as far as the hotel section but I'm guessing it wouldn't ask about day 5. -
Expecting Too Much?
kimamey replied to Havenstreet1940's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I did my Thailand pass just after 5pm on the 28th in the UK which was just after midnight and March 1st in Thailand. it never asked for the day 5 hotel just the first one. Did you tick the 'Returning to Thailand' option? I think that might avoid the issue of how long you're staying. -
I applied for a Thailand pass based on day 1 and 5 tests and then again under the new rules. This is how quickly I got mine. Day 1 and 5. Applied 27 Feb 19:25 (UK time) Received Pass 28 Feb 13:53 Day 1 only. Applied 28 Feb 17:14 (00:14 March 1 in Thailand) Received Pass 1 March 8:23. Pretty quick. I did use QR codes for my Vaccine records which is supposed to speed things up. I did have a problem with some not being accepted. I'd printed the page and then scanned into jpg as they don't accept pdf. I also tried taking a picture of it on my phone but no luck and this seems common. In the end I realised that the contrast wasn't helping so I used Gimp which is free to slightly increase the brightness and the contrast a lot and then it worked. There's probably other simpler methods to increase contrast as well. The other problem was an api error which I've never seen before so I don't know why it should come up with this but this is a solution that worked for me. I hope this link is ok. https://thethaiger.com/news/national/thailand-pass-workaround-for The second time was a lot quicker than the first.

Thailand May Need to Relay Exports to Russia Through Third Nations
kimamey replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Well they'd deserve it I think -
It's a bit more complicated than that. On holiday then you're probably right but in the UK at least if you're there on a more permanent basis then you can get a job. It's a case of are you allowed to work and if you are the you can do almost any job you're qualified for. In Thailand first you have to to be allowed to work but if you are then there are many jobs you aren't permitted to do regardless if you aren't Thai. With land and businesses it's different again. If you're resident in the UK then you can usually buy land, property and a business as far as I know unlike in Thailand.

Thanks. That's what I was hoping

If that's true then great. Just in case it isn't I'll ask a different question. If I've applied for Thailand Pass based on day 1 and 5 testing and it hasn't arrived on the 1st March can I apply again based on day one testing then use the original one if the day 1 test one doesn't arrive in time?

Covid Insurance for Non Imm 'O' visa

No sorry I meant a normal Internet search but this is the the link I've put up since which should help. https://www.tuneprotect.co.th/en/portal/travel-insurance/ONTALN/PTAKADWFTTMRZQKR9GAWZMTR2DVEBEWWTEMXNGSZ7UURNB92Z8UEX -
The issue is that you have to book the hotel for days 1 and 5 so unless day 5 can cancelled and many can't so you have a problem. The sensible option would have been to change the rules from 1 March but allow you to apply for the Thailand Pass before that based on those rules. Unfortunately they seem to have a talent for making something positive into a mess for no obvious reason.

I just had a quick look at Bangkok on Agoda and most can't be cancelled but I saw one that could. It maybe that will change with these new rules but who knows. Probably not. You may find something if you look hard enough. It wiill take longer but maybe check hotel websites. Particularly hotel groups as you can check several at a time. Good luck.

I'm due back on 9 March so this is good news. I've paid for insurance which isn't much but i haven booked hotels yet so good news there. As you say it seems most of the infection isn't coming in from outside and the day 5 test was always a bit ridiculous. I'm not sure the day one test is really needed either if you've been vaccinated and had a test before you travel but at least it's some improvement. One thing I would disagree with is it isn't a cold. It has similarities but I don't think many people with a cold go to hospital. As far as I know there isn't anything like long covid from a cold.

Covid Insurance for Non Imm 'O' visa
kimamey replied to kimamey's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
This is what I used https://www.tuneprotect.co.th/en/portal/travel-insurance/ONTALN/PTAKADWFTTMRZQKR9GAWZMTR2DVEBEWWTEMXNGSZ7UURNB92Z8UEX I went for 30 days as that's enough for the flight dates I have at the moment. They may change later but until I arrive and discuss this with my wife I can't be sure. In your case maybe 60 days would be better but I don't know your circumstances -
Covid Insurance for Non Imm 'O' visa

I used them as well. It's a bit confusing as I see the name Tune, Tune Protect and Luma. Just search for tune luma thailand pass and scroll down to the link Luma Thailand Pass - Tune Protect. That seems to work. I'd post a link but I'm not sure if that would be against the rules. I don't know the connection between Tune and Luma as the names seem to appear together or separately. I'm sure somebody else will know. I have seen other companies recommended on here and elsewhere and may be cheaper but Luma seems ok. -
Covid Insurance for Non Imm 'O' visa

Yes it seems ok. I was a bit worried to start with as the policy document that is shown when you first go on the site didn't mention Covid specifically which I think was a requirement at one time. It is mentioned in the documents sent after paying. I know the cover was reduced from $100,000 to $50,000 but it still says $100,000 on the online application form. Ubonjoe seems to think it just hasn't been changed. He's probably right but I'll know if I get my visa. -

I've just used your suggestion and got my insurance sorted with Luma. Very easy AXA Thailand lost my custom by asking about things they weren't going to cover anyway. Thanks -

I'm just looking at that. It seems to cover for Thailand Pass which is great. I just wish I could see Covid mentioned in the policy wording as I think that's a requirement -
Covid Insurance for Non Imm 'O' visa

I could have ignored the question about existing conditions and I'd be ok so long as nothing happened which it probably wouldn't but if it did I suspect they would say the policy was void. I was surprised they asked to be honest unless they are worried that I might be particularly vulnerable. It seems to be the online quote that's the problem so they, or another company may be able to help if I can talk to them to answer questions. That's my next plan. I don't need cover for those existing conditions anyway. Firstly I'd be covered for healthcare as my wife is a government employee . Secondly I think I've had the high blood pressure and cholesterol since the early 90s and it's never been an issue and although I had prostate cancer I no longer have the prostate or the cancer it contained. There's a slight possibility that there might be a microscopic spread that can't be detected but then any man of later years might have cancer in their prostate that they aren't aware of and therefore be at greater risk than me. This next bit is mainly to warn of the dangers of prostate cancer. I never had the usual male problem of getting up several times in the night to pee. I did wake up and sometimes needed the toilet but more often I'd just sit on the toilet looking at my phone because I couldn't get back to sleep. The problem I had was that I would pee and then need to go again shortly afterwards. I had thought that the diuretic I was taking was the cause but it became obvious that that was unlikely. It was very slow as well but I wasn't worried as that's fairly normal due to the prostate enlarging and squeezing the urethra. It started to get worse so I mentioned it during a phone call about my medication and it was decided I should have my prostate checked. I'd had a check before but that was some years ago. The first at the surgery showed no problems other than enlargement so then I was sent to the hospital where I had another woman's finger up my bum and an ultrasound device put up there. That wasn't fun. This gave a better idea of the enlargement which was significant. They use an app which when they input their findings gives an approximation of the risk of cancer. The results were that there was a 12% chance of detecting cancer, with a 3% chance of significance. I was then told that if I wished I could go for an MRI scan which would give a better picture as you can only feel so much with a finger. If anything was found then I would have a prostate biopsy which was described to me and sounded horrific. The female doctor was perfectly calm whilst she told me this although she was more squeamish when I told her that some years ago I had voluntarily had a biopsy on my eye. There's not much they can do to stop you seeing what they are about to do. I said I might as well have the MRI just to be sure even though there wasn't much chance they'd find anything. I'd still need to have something done about my prostate as I did a flow test as well which showed me voiding a total of 210 millilitres, with a flow of just 8 ml/sec and a post-void residual of 352 millilitres. Now without my prostate it flows like a garden hose. The MRI showed something on the left and the right and the biopsy confirmed no problem on the left but cancer on the right. From then on there was no suggestion of monitoring it or trying hormone therapy it was just removal or radiotherapy. Even the doctor who would have done the RT thought surgery was a better bet in my circumstances. It was on the point of moving beyond the prostate so I was lucky it was caught early. An enlarged prostate is pretty normal but there's no way of telling whether you have cancer without tests. I think myself very lucky discovered mine in time. Sorry this post was so long but I thought this was important.
