I never buy HDD's unless they have a minimum for three years warranty and a seven days return policy. Served me well during this mess.

Thai parliament passes anti-torture and enforced disappearance law
lujanit replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
When the BIB and the army are the main perps you can count on no enforcement of this law. -
I've used terminal before, but I'm not much of a sorcerer, so I'll leave that to one of the computer repair wizards. There are a number of shops in the basement of Seacon Square here in Bangkok, so I'll try there first. Really simple, this guy gives a clear explanation. I think you have have the same result as me. Error -69877 Could not open disk, Thanks for the info re Seagate.

American companies would use the Amity treaty. Background of the Thailand Treaty of Amity The Thailand Treaty of Amity aims to provide significant advantages for US investors to run businesses in Thailand for both corporations and individuals. In particular, the Thailand Treaty of Amity provided the US two major trade advantages: The Thailand Treaty of Amity permits American companies to hold majority of the shares or the whole company, branch office or representative office located in Thailand. American companies may engage in business on the same basis as Thai companies, and are exempt from most of the restrictions of foreign investment imposed by the Alien Business Law of 1972. -
Prayut No Longer Politically Righteous To Come Back: Academics

With the billions he and his mates have stolen from the Thai taxpayers he should retire to Dubai so he and Taksin can compare notes on how they stole the money. Still you get the government you deserve. -
No, my iMac and one of the MBP's are running Catalina (although it can be upgraded to Monterey) and the other MBP is running High Sierra (this the last OS that can support it. I notice on Youtube there are several videos how you can upgrade older Macs to Monterey using a software patch. Eatoin what brand and size of HDD did you manage to format using Catalina?

Sorry, my bad. External. Thinking of going SanDisk SATA SSD and putting it in a case. More expensive, I know SanDisk will format to Mac as I have recently replaced my internal HHD with a SSD on two of my macs.

Hi all, I have been buying name brand HDD on Lazada. Toshiba (1) and WD (3). None of these HDD's were able to format to be used on a Mac using either Disk Utility (just hangs forever, I have to Force Quit, Command Q doesn't work) or Terminal (error -69877). Also all three WD's were making clicking noises. There must be a bad batch of HDD's currently in Thailand. I have used WD in the past with no problems. I know that formatting to exFat can be read by a Mac, yet it not suitable for Time Machine backups. There was no problem returning them to the vendors and getting approved for refunds. Can anyone recommend a name brand HHD with at least three years warranty? TIA.

I do not like Guinness. Many years ago I went to a breakfast, full english breakfast at a small pub in Singapore. Guinness came as part of the meal. The barman put an ounce of port in the Guinness and it was wonderful. Mind you after three pints I was ready for bed.

On a iPhone you get a message (sic) This is from an unknown person, Delete and report junk? Once reported you never get a message from that number ever again. -
I tried some of the local wine years ago and it was definitely not drinkable. I then gave up on local wine, I wouldn't drink it if was free. Paying 350 baht for a wine that would sell in Aus for $3 is beyond a joke.

If she was Thai there would have been no charges. She would have paid off the cops just like many others do.- 206 replies
