She didn't pay the cops to investigate, that'a her problem. Years ago in Phuket I had my wallet stolen by a Brit. Not only did steal my wallet but he also stole car rental. Both the owner and I went to report the crimes to the police together. The car owner even had a copy of his passport. All the cops had to do was notify immigration and he would have been stopped when exiting the country. They did nada, zilch. Wanted money to pick up the phone and notify immigration. The car owner refused to pay so they did nothing. We even had to pay for a copy of the police report. The BIB is so corrupt, rotten to the core. Everyone of them. No exceptions.

Chinese Man Tony Arrested during Raids at 33 Places in Provinces

For a fleeting nanosecond when first reading the headline I thought they were referring to Thaksin ‘Tony’. Then I came back to reality. -
Good advice. I have two bank accounts with different banks. One for the 800k immigration retirement extension and one for monthly expenses. The 800k one I deposit 100 baht in on the same day every month then draw it out the next month never getting below 800k, in fact the balance is more like 810k baht. Keep repeating every month. When I go to do the yearly retirement extension one oddity is that my local Immigration Office wants to see movement in the 800k account every month on the statement regardless of the change in rules a couple of years ago. The first year I tried to point out the changes, waste of time. Resistance is futile so I just comply. No biggie.

Blatant corruption. Why not fix roads and pathways and skim that budget? At least it would benefit the public. If nothing happened since 2013 nothing will happen now or in the future.

or an older Samsung phone, you know the ones that spontaneously combust? More likely as previously stated a gas conversion badly installed. Looks like a Altis so not an EV. -
Eligibility Age Requirements The pension age will be gradually increased from 65 to 67 years as set out in the table below. Period within which a person was born Pension age Date pension age changes From 1 July 1952 to 31 December 1953 65 years and 6 months 1 July 2017 From 1 January 1954 to 30 June 1955 66 years 1 July 2019 From 1 July 1955 to 31 December 1956 66 years and 6 months 1 July 2021 From 1 January 1957 onwards 67 years 1 July 2023 You are also required to live in Australia for a minimum period of two years before applying for the pension. If you are away from Australia for more than six weeks Centrelink strips your pension of all the extras, like energy subsidy etc. From what I understand Centrelink will not pay your pension into an overseas account. I get mine paid into a Australian account and transfer by Wise. It should be noted that Embassies exist for the principle reason of government to government relations not for the convenience of expats. It may seem anti expat and in my view it is. The only reason the embassy will get involved if you are reported dead. They will inform Centrelink immediately so they stop payment of the pension.

Over 3,000 Arrested Over Illegal World Cup Gambling
lujanit replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The question now becomes how many cops were paid to look the other way and let offenders just leave? THB 111k is nothing. These raids usually confiscate millions of baht. -
Thai Airways Names New CEO Amid Restructuring Plan
lujanit replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
So the CFO is ultimately responsible for the financial state of affairs at Thai Airways gets the nod for the top job. How much worse can it get? The smartest thing he can do is hire an expat as an advisor with knowledge of how an airline should be run, and follow their advice to the T. No protection of the big boys jobs, they should be the first ones to go. -
Russian tourists pack charter flights to Pattaya and Phuket
lujanit replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
This has got to be the most stupidest post in the history of TV. I hope it gets tagged as such. Fair to Ukraine too? How? Then again you are a Thai. Many of the Thai people I have met supported that criminal murderer, slayer of innocent women and children Putin. , do you fall into this camp? Just remember Putin invaded Ukraine for no good reason. No tango here. Now he bombs Kherson which the Ukraine won back. What’s Putins response, bomb the sh!t out of it. If I can’t have it neither can you. Look it up if you dare. All over the news. Then again you are in denial mode, can’t read or see anything which goes against your belief. Putin is a war criminal and should be treated as such. Time Thais realized this. Thailand should be ashamed of giving Russian jets permission to enter Thai airspace let alone land. Time you changed your tune. All is well and good defending your country. Defending Russians and in particular Putin is your disgrace and everyone here knows it. How would you like it if China invaded Thailand and started bombing critical infrastructure and murdering innocent people including women and children? Then again you are intimate buddies with China. They have already taken over here. You are just too stupid to see it. Not even your two F35s, if you ever get them or your engineless sub will save you. -
This merger should have never been allowed to happen. It violates the idea of free market competition. Then again Thailand is not a free democracy. Obviously the court who decided on the okay was adequately compensated. Thailand has a judicial/court system that is so corrupt, every level of it. From the unelected ‘PM’ down everyone who has the money can get what they want. Just look at the red bull fiasco and the Thaksin n Yingluck farce.

FDA Warns Against Misleading Ad of Antiviral Nasal Spray

That’s a new for me. I know Thais claimed to have invented a vaccine for Ebola about nine years ago. -
There is a parking garage just you enter on the left. Memory says it’s only open after 1500 hrs. There is also a place down the Thanon Wang Lang about 100 metres down the road on the left from the corner to Siriraj. Open air parking. Don’t know if they allow overnight parking. I would suggest you park in Central Pinklao, cross the road via the walk bridge and take a taxi, not far, maybe 60 baht. Safe parking in Central even overnight. We used it for our car in the 2011 floods. Hope this helps.
