The prices have certainly gone up considerably. Still the quality of the food and the cleanliness of the store makes it still worth it. I usually buy my cold cuts at Foodland (Charon Santiwong) early in the morning after I go to Makro which is opposite. Cheap breakfast at that time and not too much traffic. The last time I went I went to Foodland first then Makro as crossing the road to do a U-turn is a pain. This particular Foodland is open 24 hours so it is possible to go there first and still be at Makro at 0600.

It is alright this time of year, winter, no need for air-con during the day. Our last bill was 1202 baht. I hate to think what our bill will be like in summer when we run air-con during the day. Have to run air-con for some of the night just to cool the room down. 28C is comfortable. Still electricity rates here are far cheaper than in Australia. I am thankful for this.
