2022 review: Prayut not ready to say goodbye despite toughest year as PM

All which ended up in his favour. How much did it cost to pay off the judges? All paid for by the Thai taxpayer. -
Officials launch drink driving campaign, no “4am closing” decision
lujanit replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
The ban on alcohol sales between 1400 and 1700 is crazy, madness made up by stupid people wielding power. Does any other country have such a stupid ban? About no decision made on 4 am closing time it was recently reported here that the decision had been put off indefinitely. 4 AM Closing Time for Nightspots in Tourism Areas Postponed Indefinitely -
The system in the armed forces is loaded in favour of top brass at the detriment of lower ranks. Top brass obviously doesn’t care about lower ranks.

You are forgiven, an honest mistake and no harm done. We all make mistakes so don’t take it personally.

When we telephoned we were told that the name was changed to Living Room years ago. Yet Google Maps still finds it. Weird. As to whether it is related to Dukes Chiang Mai I don’t know.

Changed their name to the Living Room. Not open on Xmas day as they are booked for a wedding. Unless Google Maps sent me to the wrong place. Rang the number and was told the above.

90 day report falling on weekend
lujanit replied to ross163103's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I have the Immigration App and I cannot get a login and password even though I have tried. many times, the latest about four days ago. I get a message saying my email is invalid! When I did my 90 day reporting in person yesterday I asked the IO about this problem. He just shrugged his shoulders and said he didn't know and to keep trying. I have been trying no luck since the App came out. This might be a problem that the Nonthaburi Office has. -
Thanks for this, we’ll go there.

We are spending xmas in Hua Hin. Can anyone please suggest a place that is offering a buffet xmas lunch or dinner? I did a search and only found large hotels offering lunch or dinner at more than 3k++ plus more for drinks (up to 1200 baht). Also some smaller places offering a set menu which we are not interested in. TIA

I've lots of books from them and never paid any customs duty. Some do arrive damaged though and BD has a terrible returns policy. You have to pay to ship back to them. After a few books turned up damaged I looked for another supplier. Kinokuniya Thailand provides an excellent service and they have most books that BD has. Free delivery over 800 baht (I think) and you can buy a membership for 500 baht a year which gives you members prices, usually 10% off). If you are going to buy a fair number of books it is worth it. I got my 500 baht back in two orders. https://th-membership.kinokuniya.com You can also use the card in their physical stores for the discount. I just took a picture of the card with my phone and showed the cashier the photo. Never a problem.

฿700m in assets seized from another online gambling network in Thailand

"Bar owner in one well known BKK entertainment suburb showed a few of us the rate card for staying open a few years back. The cops had actually felt secure enough to print it." (From topic on bars not staying open until 0400). If the cops are brazen enough to print cards showing rates for bars staying open after 0200 do you actually believe that the cops wouldn't take cash from raids? You are living in a fairy land. -
I did the same trip years ago in the same 3rd class seat (I couldn't get anything else as it was booked out). It was a bone shaking miserable trip. At every stop vendors piled on board selling all types of food and drink. Yes that included beer. For the return trip I took a bus.

No chance if Prayhoot is joining his party. Only after Prayhoot finishes his final two years he might get his chance. -

I don't sit on a barstool. Do you have any proof that the BIB don't regularly steal money from raids. I didn't think so. Everyone but you it seems knows that the BIB are the most corrupt organization in Thailand. I have personal experience of the BIB's corruption. Do you? -
8.1 million Thais are poor, 4.4 million below poverty line – NESDC
lujanit replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
While Prayhoot, the fat watchkeeper and their cronies fill their overseas bank accounts with corruption money. The amount they must have stolen must be in the billions. That money could have gone a long way to helping the education system and the poor. Keep the masses stupid and poor is their mantra and therefore under control.- 61 replies

People To Rise Up Against Senators-Picked PM: Thanathorn
lujanit replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The current political system here is just plain broke. -
Prayhoot is just a hypocrite. Recently the following was reported here: "BANGKOK (NNT) - Thailand called on the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and the European Union to constructively interact with all sides for humanitarian purposes." In this case he was talking about Ukraine. Horses for courses I guess.
