  1. Yes it does. Used the red line for three of my shots. It is a fair walk from the platform to the vaccination centre. Lots of signs and helpful people to guide you.
  2. The Judges have already received fat brown envelops.
  3. Absolutely. We use Agoda all the time when planning/booking hotels for a trip within Thailand. This year we have made at least half a dozen trips. I think the domestic tourism is bigger than anyone thinks, especially in light of government program which pays 40% of the hotel rate (up to 3000 baht daily, total room cost, I think) plus 600 baht per day for food at participating eateries.
  4. I think you have that wrong. The law is that extracts (to make edibles etc) must not contain more than 0.2% THC. So it is perfectly legal to sell weed with a much higher THC content.
  5. If and it's big if Thailand gets approval for a couple of F35s they will be stripped out versions with no weapons systems and sundry other exclusions that the US don't want China to see.
  6. Since when are parrot fish endangered? The title is just wrong.
  7. I would doubt anybody is lining their pocket. I am guessing that this phase will operate the same as previous and those limited Thais to 150 baht a day spend. It is great for small vendors as they benefited from increased sales. It is not like hotels can join.
  8. Too much money is never enough especially when you can steal it without consequences.
  9. Damn recalcitrant keyboards. They get the blame for "mis-posts" like motorists who have accidents blame 'brake failure or lap nai".
  10. Will that mean the end of the state of emergency? Oh wait! The state of emergency has nothing to do with covid, silly me.
  11. Thailand has strong fire-safety laws, so why do deadly nightclub blazes keep happening? Answer. Corruption.
  12. Probably won't be if stuffed brown envelopes are distributed to the cops by the company.
  13. So the pop up bar (on the sidewalk in front of the construction) on Soi 22 was not closed. Must be paying off the cops. Doesn't seem worth it to open. In the times I have been in Soi 22 there are little to no one drinking there.
  14. Try bangkokdrugstore.com They have a wide range of meds and provide a delivery service via Kerry, usually next day. You have to register. They have a search function. I find them very convenient. IMHO Fascino is not all it's cracked up to be.

    Eye Test.

Another place in BKK is St. Louis Hospital. Dr Paradon gives a full eye exam including photos of the back of the eye. He does not sell glasses only gives you a prescription. I get my glasses from Zennieoptical.
  16. Wise takes some time, usually a minimum of six hours to transfer AUD into my Thai account. It has been 3 days on one occasion. They have to buy the Thai baht on the open market. Currencies like GBP and USD they get a lot of requests for transfer so they can buy a lot of baht in advance. Hence the seemingly instant transfer. I can confirm Wise operates 24 hours a day all year around, although they can be particularly slow on Australian public holidays.
  17. You can also use Dee Money to transfer THB to numerous other countries. There is a thread somewhere on this forum, I think they are a forum sponsor.
  18. I stand corrected. I have never had a Non-OA only a Non-O.
  19. There is no such thing as a retirement visa. You have probably got a Non-O or a Non-OA visa which is valid for three months. Provided you can meet all the requirements you can then get an extension for one year based on retirement.
  20. IMHO this is a really stupid idea. Converting debt to equity in a bankrupt company is insanity. State owned banks have been directed to provide loans, no independent bank would provide a loan unless there is a water tight guarantee in place. The true state of Thai Airways will become apparent when other airlines start operations to Thailand again. It won't be pretty.
  21. There is a thread here where it was speculated that one in seven households possessed a gun of some sort. If this is remotely true it is a great concern. I agree that most of the guns here are illegal. I did a search but can't find the thread.
  22. Anyone remember the Santika night club fire in Bangkok in 2009? Fire door (s) were also locked. Reasons accelerating the fire sound strangely familiar. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santika_Club_fire
  23. You forgot to mention the false, over-inflated numbers reported by TAT. Everyone who enters and is not a Thai is counted as a tourist. Foreign workers, people visiting family and transit passengers just for starters.
