  1. Not grassing someone up doesn't mean you support criminals.
  2. Don't pick Up the Phone Thought this was mind boggling. Summary: The shocking true crime story of a hoax caller who targeted fast food restaurants across America - posing as a police officer investigating a theft, the caller instructed managers to strip-search the young female employees he said were suspects; for many victims, what began as a humiliating strip search escalated into sexual abuse. When the hoax caller hits McDonald's in Mount Washington, Kentucky, a rookie detective makes it his mission to catch him - what he uncovers is extraordinary. With testimonies from investigators, victims and the people who were duped into committing strip-search crimes, this limited series tells the story of the hunt for the strip search hoaxer, and the victims' search for justice.

  11. Season 14 of 24 Hours in Police Custody has just started. The first episode pretty much sums up the justice system I reckon.
  12. You have to be inside Australia to apply/receive the pension.
  13. Claremont: A killer Among us I remember this one well. Happened in my home state of Western Australia. Summary: When young women started going missing from the affluent Perth suburb of Claremont in the 1990s, it sent shockwaves throughout Australia. Sarah Spiers, 19, Jane Rimmer, 23, and Ciara Glennon, 27, went missing within less than two years of each other, launching Australia’s longest-running, biggest and most expensive manhunt. Spanning two decades, hundreds of potential suspects, and an investigation on up to 3,000 people, the ‘Claremont killer’ managed to hide in plain sight. 26 years after the first abduction, Paramount and Joined Up films have joined forces to bring two-part documentary, Claremont: A Killer Among Us, telling the inside story of the Claremont investigation right up to its dramatic conclusion.
  14. Season 2 of the excellent Slow Horses starts this week.
  15. Once eligible for online processing, he can do everything by post. No need to go to the Embassy at all.
  16. Not sure what seems vague about it TBH. They're asking for the application and payment and then advise a waiting period. Maybe it's been brought in due to the huge backlog due to Covid. Emailing them wouldn't hurt I guess.
  17. Are you sure about this? Seems a renewal can now be done online. https://thailand.embassy.gov.au/bkok/Mailed_in_passport_applications.html

  21. The OP has gotten his card back. I've had this happen to me a few times. There's usually a serial number on the ATM. You call the bank and they will hold the card for you when they come to check the machine. You need to bring your passport to pick it up. It's a pain in the <deleted> though.
  22. Seriously doubt his TFN Will be available online on his bank account.
  23. It also says "It depends on what you're after". They will still have your TFN on record. You will have to call them.
