This one appearing this week looks pretty good.

That's a shame mate, I really enjoyed the series. Especially series 1. Perhaps it has more appeal to Aussies because a lot of the crims were really well known.

I'm a huge fan of Matt Nable. Reckon he's underrated. Was in Mr Inbetween as well. The book by John Ibrahim was a real page turner.

I'm not attacking you at all. I appreciate the advice you're giving. However, I posted that IMO, you would still have to live in Australia for the majority of the 2 years. You said it was untrue. I then asked you how long you can stay out for and you didn't really know. That's not attacking you, I was just trying to figure out what I said was untrue. So the bottom line is, no one really knows how long you're allowed the out of the country before it affects your 2 year waiting period. You've advised you can have several holidays a year for a few weeks at a time. I imagine you would have to stay in Australia for the majority of the 2 years or it would be pointless having the 2 year period. I doubt the time outside of Australia is in legislation, it's probably just policy, which for obvious reasons they wouldn't be that keen on advising people. -

So really, you're just guessing. How long do you think it would be ok to stay out of Australia in the 2 year period? I'd be interested to know. -

I fail to see how it's not true TBH. Surely Centrelink are not going to let you lodge an application and then <deleted> off for months at a time and say it won't affect your 2 year waiting period. You've said "several trips a year for a few weeks". You're still going to have to live the majority of your time in Australia IMO. -

Yes, as you've advised, you can go on holidays but practically speaking, you pretty much need to do close to your 2 years. -

Thanks, but you should be quoting MAF666. Sounds like he was hoping he would be eligible without the 2 year rule. -

How long have you been living in Thailand for? Do you mean you want to lodge your application and then do your two years in Oz before returning? -

Nice one Rip. Just another example of misinformation that our resident scaremonger has provided. Expect another 2 page response from him trying to twist things rather than just coming out and saying "I got it wrong". -

The ATO does have the authority to garnish banks accounts. I for one don't think the changes will come into effect, despite what a few on here think. And even if they did, I can't see them chasing up OAP's to get them to lodge tax returns. If they did implement a new law, I don't think it would be retrospective anyway. I'm sure however that KH will be along shortly with a Leo Tolstoy length reply telling me I'm wrong and that we're all doomed. -
New show from the Beeb. A corrupt police detective has a painful moral awakening and decides to put right 20 years of wrongdoing.
-
New series just started by the Beeb. On the 26 November 1983, six armed men broke into the Brink’s-Mat security depot near London’s Heathrow Airport, and inadvertently stumbled across gold bullion worth £26m. What started as 'a typical Old Kent Road armed robbery' according to detectives at the time, became a seminal event in British criminal history, remarkable not only for the scale of the theft, at the time the biggest in world history, but for its wider legacy.

I'm not sure if these departments fall under the same umbrella or not. I'm not on a pension. But I had to call Medicare last week and hung up after waiting for an hour. Got through the following day after waiting nearly 30 minutes. -

I don't where your friend is from, but I've never heard of "having a valid visa" being a condition of obtaining a passport. -
My dogs must be dumb then, because they attack every snake they see. Once has been spat in the eye twice by cobra's.
