  1. That's right. My neighbors for many years are Taiwanese and they hate the Chinese government, putting pressure on Taiwan all the time and the country not fully recognized as an independent country. If the Taiwanese wants to stay independent they should be left alone. The people of Gibraltar voted to stay with the UK and not over-go to Spain and that was accepted by everyone.
  2. Yes that right. I bought the very first gen 150cc PCX from them because the Pattaya dealers wanted about 5-7000 baht above the sticker price but ACM sold it at sticker price. They even delivered the scooter to my house in Pattaya for free. I still have the scooter by the way.
  3. Awesome place you got there, setting up all that solar must had cost a coin or two but agree that's the way to go, especially when you live in the tropics. The MG Marvel R is having some serious specs, 288PS, 0-100 in 4.9 sec, not bad at all and a range according to them of 400km. But they write made for European motorists who appreciate design, luxury and performance, it’s part of our second generation of 100% electric vehicles! OK that the EU site, I can't see why they can't launch it here. https://mgmotor.eu/model/marvel-r
  4. Completely agree, crazy price for what you are getting. About 16800$ in the US for the old model= 550k baht so also very expensive over there. The sold over 233.000 of them in EU since launch in 2001 so hugely popular. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yamaha_TMAX PS: One of my biker buddies has the Speed Twin, awesome bike and with around 100hp it can move, so not just a pretty bike for show. Sadly it's just too small for me, I look like a elephant on it, 555.
  5. I agree, buying one from a young Thai man is likely a bad idea in most cases but you see them sometime at Bathsold and Thaivisa classified, so owned by an expat. I bought my big bike from an expat with full service history. On another note, if something is wrong with a 300cc Honda/Yamaha you can get it fixed very cheap and quickly.
  6. Honda CB300F or Yamaha MT03 any-day of the week if I was looking in that category. The Honda is under 160kg and the Bajaj is 180kg, that a huge difference, very heavy that Bajaj so not so flickalbe, slower acceleration & likely longer brake distance. The Honda/Yamaha options got a bit more HP as well. You can find a 2nd hand Honda/Yamaha cheaper than the Bajaj, spare parts all over Thailand, fairly good re-sale value, the Bajaj will be hard to sell again at a fair price. I would never buy a Bajaj when there is much better options all things considered.
  7. Using his own motorbike and then running out of fuel when trying getting away. Why didn't he ride direct to the police station and stop wasting fuel and everybody's time.
  8. I been in for about 2 years but only with small money. My modest investment went up about X7 during that time so it's a nice little pot now. Anyone care to give their view on Floki Inu? One of my friends say that there is a good chance of this going up?
  9. What a totally nonsense post, some prefer one design over the other. The ADV350 It much wider, quote from below link: the width rises from 754mm to 895mm thanks to much wider, motocross-inspired bars. So if you ride a lot around in urban areas that will be a huge disadvantage! Further: Selling a relatively new vehicle is money right out of the window. My old dog PCX150 had served my well over the years and I prefer the sitting position over ADV150. https://www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesocial/news-and-views/news/2021/october/honda-adv350-2022
  10. If you are getting that Iphone SE, I strongly suggest you get the 64GB version, about 700 baht more. I uses my phone quite heavily and my 128GB is almost 1/2 full.
  11. It's not healthy for the battery to charge to 100% all the time. Try the app called AccuBattery, it will tell you how healthy your phone battery is and also how to charge it, highly recommended.
  12. On my big bike I always use quality tire products. MICHELIN Pilot Road 4 currently, very happy with them. Your life depends of good road contact on a bike, I am not saying the tires mentioned in OP are bad but I don't know them at all, so I would never buy them.
  13. In the newspaper we are not allowed to quote, they write that The Finance Ministry stands ready to approve measures to promote the use of electric vehicles (EV), which is expected to significantly bring down the prices of imported EVs, said a source on the National Electric Vehicle Policy Committee. This is supposedly taking place from 1 Jan 2022. Interesting for sure.
  14. Yes you are indeed right. Quote: At high elevations, an engine's performance will decrease, and fuel consumption will increase due to the air being less dense. ... When the carburetor is modified for high elevation operation, the air-fuel mixture will be too lean for low elevation use. Anyway, I doubt it will be a problem in Thailand, Nepal or Northern India is a different matter.
  15. What EV's do you have if you don't mind me asking?
  16. I can't stand him either, first and only time I watched him, I managed about 2 minutes and he got a thumps down and bye-bye.
  17. Bangkok hospital Pattaya have just installed an EV charging station at the front of the building, I think it can accommodate 3-4 EV's but haven't seen it in use yet. See a few Tesla's in Pattaya sometimes on BKK no plates. It's slowly coming and a Goggle search say about 800-1000 charging stations currently in Thailand but I can't find a map showing them, only the MG chart below. The main advantage is local pollution, the air in BKK could be so much cleaner is say 50% of all vehicles was EV's. I read that most MG dealers have charging stations but doubt you can roll in in your Tesla and get charged? Not much fun sitting at a MG dealer waiting for your EV to charge up.
  18. If that's the case you better not flog it going over a high mountain???? I prefer EFI, hassle free and fewer and fewer can adjust carburetors.
  20. Really? Sorry but I doubt that very much! Do you have a link supporting your statement?
  21. So this one is coming on the market soon, same engine as Forza but a bit different here and there. I don't know if they will be selling it here? https://www.cycleworld.com/story/motorcycle-news/honda-adv-350-scooter-announced/ https://www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesocial/news-and-views/news/2021/october/honda-adv350-2022
  22. Wow it has carburetor, not many new bikes with that anymore. Looks comfortable, a good little run about bike, likely. Personally not for me but each to their own.
