  1. they are empty because they were never needed in the first place those with covid and are not sick are generally in home isolation now something that should have been happening all along It is well established that this virus either makes you very very sick with the possibility of death or the vast majority not sick at all with little to no symptoms
  2. Thai people are generally proud people It must be really embarrassing that this government has put the nation in this position of needing donations, the image in my mind is of the beggars on the streets of Pattaya doing the bars with the begging bowl out shameful
  3. why bother making these statements with could, might, maybe, likely, make the announcement when you can actually say "will" when there is a firm commitment, it just sounds like wishful thinking from these fools
  4. it cost lives and was irresponsible - that is a fact just because nobody talks about it now doesn't mean it didn't happen Swedish Prime Minister Says Country Underestimated Coronavirus (businessinsider.com)
  5. Thailand dropped the ball and messed up big time were they should have done better - vaccines and they are still doing it with the persistant purchase and use of sinovac
  6. you left out the wide deployment of vaccines in your post and the main reason other sensible countries can now relax containment measures, it is widely understood (including government) that Sweden messed up big time and could have done better

    Green card????

absolute nonsense, there is a massive difference between a passive chipped PP or CC and an enabled powered active device, the fact you are making such a comparison shows your lack of understanding of the technology

    Green card????

A smartphone is not and never will be a mandatory requirement to have the right to live and exist in society, it is and allways will be an optional accessory.
  9. yes, water from a flash flood has the energy to do that - seen it with my own eyes and quite shocking - also very dangerous, watched 2x huge iron manhole covers blown out of the center of a road in quick succession, they were about 30m apart and the one closest to me popped out about 10ft in the air and a couple of seconds later the other one did the same, never seen anything like it or ever again
  10. They don't care, they know they messed up big time and will never recover from that, so may as well just keep on messing up or more accurately "give up" - what will be will be and since there is no accountability in Thailand why would they give a ##, plastic bag treatment on a bigger scale
  11. sorry to here that - you will not stand alone in grief - we stand proud shoulder to shoulder RIP
  12. Koh Tao being a case in point - every one involved was told what to say and any hard evidence such as DNA and CCTV was destroyed, the result was 4 victims and the local thugs go off scott free - case closed When the defence wanted samples of the DNA that was used to convict they were told it was used up - there was nothing left - complete B S
  13. someone should explain what "bag and tag" means to this so called law enforcement officer
  14. under the threat of a good bagging if they don't pay up
  15. Just wait and see how that looks when you get a positive covid test in Thailand your government warned you against international travel - no sympathy from me
  16. they swoopped on the property in a fleet of exotic vehicles and armed with assault rifles and a supply of plastic bags to detain the suspects
  17. Sittha told the media on Tuesday that he got the clip from a low-ranking officer and before he released the clip, the low-ranking officer has sent the video to Decha first but he refused to released it to the public because we wanted to blackmail Joe for money. Decha denied the claim. He said that he received the clip from a high-ranking police officer minutes before Sittha received it but decided not to make it public because the case was under investigation and he does not want to tamper with the evidence. Sounds to me like Decha is up to his neck in this along with the scum cops
  18. well up until now, it now seems that testing has suddenly become important going forward, the difference being they have pushed the resposibilty onto the individual
  19. I think an earlier poster summed it up pretty well Thailand is adopting what a lot of countries in the west are doing but the big difference is vaccine deployment, introducing rules based on the fully vaccinated, when the reality is Thailand is nowhere near that point - creating rules based on vaccine status when they have failed to provide the effective vaccines is an affront to 90% of the population - but hey lets see where this ends up
  20. the very nature of your post implies you are judging other members on this forum and by your self appointed superior position you think otherwise - meaning you know better - like I said - you don't, that doesn't detract from your right to an opinion of course but it does clarify exactly what you said - you called other posters out - I am calling you out
  21. calling them out indicates that you know better which you don't everybody has an opinion based on what they see going on. I think most would agree so far it has been a shambles
  22. are you attempting to defend Thailand's eco/pollution record, do you live in Bangkok - if so are you happy with the air quality on display most of the year That whale is likely lost and is at serious risk swimming in Thai waters as already pointed out
  23. 24 people and 650 room nights booked Tourism is well and truely on the rebound yippie
