  1. well that's not good, what location told you this I have 2x BKB accounts for years - a current/savings account and an FCD account
  2. I was not signed up for PP until today, I guess it's just semantics, the QR code scan worked call it PP if you want
  3. yes indeed you are correct, no fee, so the fee was for atm a few days before
  4. yeah I'm beginning to to think I was wrong and 15baht was for an atm withdrawal I made several days earlier even though it showed up when I made the QR payment, maybe just showing recent transactions, like said - first time i had ever used it, justed testing it out - cheers
  5. 100% incorrect you may think you are using PP when in fact you are not, when I opened my banking app to explore PP just now, it asks for a recipients Ph No, not the say a QR scan won't work as it clearly does whether registered for PP or not, I only registered for PP 1 hour ago, I made the QR payment I mentioned above over 1 week ago as a test, now there may be some confusion on my part what the 15baht charge was for, it could have been an atm withdrawal I made a few days prior but it did come up on my phone screen when I completed the transaction, so the jury is out on that TBH, maybe when I completed the transaction it just flashed up recent transactions on my account and the 15baht was unrealated - yes confusing
  6. I thought I had you on ignore 🙂 anyway read my above post, I wasn't using PP just scanned the QR code in the bar and BKB did charge me 15baht - it was on my statement
  7. I just checked my statement and there is a charge of 15baht - worth noting, I am not registered with BKB for promptpay which may have something to do with it, for e.g. if I make an atm withdrawal from a non BKB atm I am charged 15baht, I have now registered for PP not sure what difference it will make when scanning a QR code
  8. really ? I don't know enough about it to conclude who charged 15baht, I always leave a 20baht tip, need to look further into it, food for thought
  9. speaking of Thai banks and charges, I used a QR payment from Bangkok bank the other day to pay for a 250baht bar bill (just to try it out) well it worked ok but I was charged 15baht for the pleasure, Thai people think cashless is something to brag about, they may need to think again if banks are going to charge like this for every transaction and it might be 15baht now (which IMO should be free) but when you have no option for cash these charges are going to go up because you will simply have no alternative, the banks really will have you by the $$$$$. I am personally 100% against cashless - there is only one winner and it ain't us.
  10. the majority of crimes committed in Thailand are not from foreigners 95%+ are committed by Thai nationals, General Kitrat Panphet needs to adjust his focus and remove the blinkers
  11. you couldn't make it up they are not fighting over this Indian fella they are fighting over his wallet
  12. if you ask the average driver what they are supposed to do at a pedestrian crossing the will likely answer correctly, so why do they not do it ??? simple answer - who is enforcing them to do so and if they don't what penalties are they going to face..........................zero the police are responsible for the road carnage here simply because they have no clue about what they are supposed to do, they really have no idea what their job is
  13. you were ripped off just saying

  15. although the local businesses are reaping the benefits a certain part of the community is not...............
  16. lol, probably true but.................. how many - like seriously - pretty much 1000's of entertainment establishments have this sort of techncicly illegal arrangement, no checks as to how they are funded - where the money comes from this guy wasn't playing ball or some other reason more sinister - either way he got shafted - reason unknown

  19. this place is getting worse and worse authorities have clearly lost control from the road carnge to rampant drug use and violent crime, no wonder the Chinese chose Vietnam over Thailand for their new year
  20. pity the thai Authorities didn't nab him first, big difference maybe Thailand will request he returns here since thailand is where this #### broke the law , no sympathy
