  1. sad story, hope she fully recovers and finds a new happy path
  2. yeah - fix it to his family circle
  3. FFS, more carnage, very sad, 70% of news stories on here are about tragic accidents on the death roads, when are they going to take this seriously and do something about it, it cannot go on like this, it really is horrendous RIP RIP RIP RIP
  4. I have narrowed this issue down to the following when I follow "thailand news live", I get notifications by email from all the news team except one - georgealbert, posts from all other news team members have no issues, I get an email when they post as it should except for georgealbert, nothing on my side is blocking or filtering his posts, I follow him individually his posts on the news forum get through to me no problem, I know this is weird, can you get someone to look into this please, maybe georgealbert was posting on the forum under a different name and I had blocked theim, I really don't know but there is definitely something wrong and again i stress - not on my side, I have sent georgealbert a message and he cannot explain it, sounds trivial but it really is not,
  5. notice I did not mention Thai police, DNA has been around a long time why did it take UK Police such a long time
  6. been reading sad tales like this daily for over 2 decades and quite honestly it is wearing me down, the stupidity on the roads continues and is ultimately the job of the police to enforce the law and government to make them, I see very little proactive (prevetion) policing going on here, the driving is horrendous with blatant disregard for traffic laws because they are not enforced another two young lives lost in what was an entirely avoidable accident because people are allowed to do stupid RIP
  7. sorry if I missed it but was this lunatic arrested and charged - police might discover visa issues also
  8. wow what a revelation - can you expand on that, how many young foreign adults died suddenly at a music festival in phuket on the same night within hours of each other, yes people die in Thailand, it would be strange if they didn't and a lot of deaths on the roads (most in the world I think) you're a genius RIP
  9. western thinking, all of what you said is correct but we are in Thailand
  10. a very targetted robery, obvious who ever did this knew the safe was there and its contents
  11. no detals ?, why would that matter ?, everything is in the details why not use bolt - oh yeah they get assaulted too 400b gets me half way to bangkok from pattaya
  12. that may be so - once you put your western thinking cap on you have lost I knew a bar owner here that let a solictor handle the transfer of money for the sale of the bar, buyer transfered the purchase funds to his solicitor and he never got a penny, solicitor kept the money 6m baht, again a hard lesson
  13. he will never see his money unless criminal charges are brought - highly unlikely so it is a civil matter, if he is prepared to spend a few million baht brining this court it will take years with next to zero chance of success never ever let a Thai person handle anything money related in your absence always do in person, this includes solicitors, in the west solicitors act under strict codes of conduct - not so in Thailand This man has learned a very hard lesson
  14. was he scuba diving or free diving ?, the two are vastly different, he may have suffered a DCS incident RIP
  15. what's he not telling, so they just picked him at random and were lucky to find he had a load of crypto - yeah right, police are on the right track with this, maybe look closer at the so called victim and what he's been up to in pattaya
  16. hilarious, a man who fled the country with billions plus his sister did pretty much the same thing OMG
  17. what disgusting #### up story, throw them in jail
  18. the shins ill gotten riches, most Thai people could not comprehend just how much this family is worth
  19. trans get a bad rep in Thailand maybe they should work on that, multiple incidents of wallet theft and jewelry theft, I myself have personal experience of such attempts over the years, I am in no way condoning the actions of this foreigner but there is already a reputation that stains the trans community that needs addressed
  20. people are living here and not delclaring the do, they use a UK address to fraudulently claim UK benefits and/or UK anual pension increases, if found out they will face a lengthy jail term in the UK, I pay UK taxes so they are stealing from me and every UK tax payer, I hope they get caught - it is simple to expose, cross check passport records and bank records with claims. In saying that I disagree with UK policy not getting anual increases to state pensions while live abroad, it is wrong but that is a different discussion. Fyi - I am not old enough to receive UK state pension yet, I've been livin in Thailand 20+ years - DWP and Inland revenue have my thai address and so does my UK bank
  21. 100% correct The Shins don't have that problem
