I want to buy myself an impact driver but cant find one.
I've cheched homepro but they only have drill drivers.
Does anyone know where I should buy one.
I see them on ebay but I am worried about costoms.
There are lots of makita impact drivers with no batteries or chargers.
Can they be bought here if I order "body only".
I'm looking for a brushless model with high tork but I don't mind
if it's electric or battery.
What would you do.
-
Kkerry,
Why do you reckon that I should use the cheaper evo model. Is there no extra
noticable improvement with the pro.Iwould love to know.
I'm going to get a Thai guy to call round and do the instalation,am I going to loose everything on my New Volume disk or can he work around this.
I can't find anything useing up my cpu or memory but I will keep an eye on it.
-
My O.S is 36GB free of 56.7GB
-
RichCor...all my disks are read "Healthy",the machine is not hot and
I never run on battery. But yes when I reboot I'm good for another 3 hour
-
I can't see any superfish or any other malware.
What I have my eye on are Samsung 128GB 850pro 3900bht
and the Samsung 120GB 850 evo 2850bht.
-
no,the file explorer and opening programs are slow as well as firefox
-
it's called the lenova flex 10
-
I have a little 10 inch Lenova notebook which came with Windows 8.1.
It was slow when I got it but I went on utube and got some videos on
speeding it up and now it's really snappy but only for about 3 hours after
I start it up.
Then it slows right down and I have to restart it.Is there anything I can do about this.
I was looking at upgrading to an SSD.Would that solve the problem.
If so how can I choose the SSD.
There is a video on utube which recomends changing to a 128GB disk for my model.
These cost from 2,000bht to 4,000bht.

I'm not shure how it all works actually.
When they started they put dug a little trench around the perimiter of the yard
and layed concrete blocks up to ground level. Then they put the concrete posts into
the bare earth and put the same trench with concrete blocks around the perimiter of the rooms.
What happens next.
The finish on the floor and the yard is going to be smooth concrete with powder colour pigment in it.
Do they put down a layer of rough concrete and a thin smooth layer on top or how does it work.
-
I supose so.Balls of news paper tied up with string would do the job. They only have to last untill the concrete is set.
-
I'm having a house built and I want to pour the floor before the rainy season gets worse but my builder is saying that I must install the door frames first but the door frames won't be ready for another 2 weeks.
Is there some trick I can use to put something around where the door frames should go,pour the floors and then slip them out so that the frames would be easy to install
later.
I was thinking of short pieces of pvc pipe but I'm afraid that they would stick to the concrete and wouldn't come out.
-
What ever I have all the Thais are saying that it will never have to be drained
because it's got so much soakage and it's only serving 2 people.
Time will tell.If it starts to smell I will build a proper septic tank.
-
There is no way that this tank will be cleaned out by a "Rot Kee',those trucks that come
and suck the contents out.
The site is too rural and on a slope.
God only knows how they would clean it out if it was needed.
-
Maybe some kind of a filter on the end of the pipe wouldn't go amis.
What do they do in Farangland.
I've never seen a pipe coming out of a septic tank at home.
-
That makes sence
-
That's great,
how high does the pipe have to be from the hieght of the
lid of the septic tank.
-
I just found out that the builders made the pipe that long becaose, they say, that the
tank will smell if the pipe is short.
There must be a more evolved solution than that.
-
I got a Hill Tribe gentelman and his crew to come and put in a septic tank yesterday. They came and dug the hole by hand and threw a few large concrete rings in it and a concrete lid on top.
So far so good.
Then they only half covered the lid with earth, put a half bucket of concrete on the hole in the circular concrete lid and then put a half inch blue P.V.C pipe about
five foot long sticking out of the concrete dolop.
Is there any way that I can tidy this up.
Can I cover the lid fully with earth. Can I
crop the five foot pipe down to the level of the earth I put on the lid.
Can I change the blue pipe to something that would last longer and looks
less eye catching.
Because now the whole job looks like a tank of sh............................

Thanks for the feed bsck guys but I'm not sold
on the fake wood.It may look convincing but it just
doesn't feel right.
But you are confirming what my builder has told me.Fakewood is cheaper
to by,faster to install and lasts forever and that there is no marine
ply in Thailand or if there is it's too expensive.
The only other solution is the cheap bamboo clading that you see on
cheap bungalows(and I'm building a cheap bungalow).Paint it with
antifunguside paint and change it every
year and a half untill you've saved up eneough money for real wood.
I have only seen it done by aplying insectaside with a paint brush
and then varnish I'm hopeing that the antifunguside paint will
be easier and it's not that bad a solution if you know that you will only
have to change it twive before you can afford real wood.
Any ideas on techniques for this.I would also be woried about attracting
turmires into the house.
more money
-
Nope.........it's a bungalow but the point is I don't want fake wood(fiber cement)
I need something more natural even if it doesn't last so long.
-
I don't know that I understand that question.......it has nothing but concreate posts the clading
is going to be the outer wall.
Anybody know a cheaper more natural solution than Smartwood. Some kind of plywood that is solid and will take some few years outside if painted well.
-
I will be clading a house soon which will have concrete posts.
I'm trying to decide which type of clading to use but first
I need to know what the choices are.
My builder says Smartwood(fiber cement) is cheapest to buy, fastest to install
and lasts the longest. The trouble is it looks like what it is......fake wood.
So I was looking at plyboard,I had a peice of the heaviest quality available in
the city 3/4 inch and left it out in the rain and 2 pocket holes came between the
layers as if they were airholes,ie,the board was not solid.Maai Yaang they call it,but the shop was full of different types of 8 by 4 sheets I just didn't know which would work outside.
So does any one know what other choices there are in Thailand for out door clading that isn't Fiber cement.
Much obliged.

Impact Driver(where to buy)
in DIY Forum
Posted
What I'm looling for is an "Impact Driver"
not to be confused with a "Drill Driver" or an "Impact Drill"
They look quite similar but the "Impact Driver" has more torque.
I have never seen one in Thailand.
