The "maai lampoon" can be found in the traditional Thai wickerwork shops.I've never seen it in the hardware shops.Up here in the north it's used a lot.
It's 350bht for an 8 by 4 sheet and about 3mm thick.
i haven't learned how to post pictures yet i'm afraid.

Wow,
I thought this post was dead.
In the mean time I have, checked up on my high school geometry and
marked out the hexagon on the ground so thats not a problem.
I understand that concrete or steel would be better but I'm going to go with wood because it's ceaper and more natural.
What I'm concentreting on now are the walls.Assuming that between myself and the builder we get the wooden frame up then what should I clad it with.
On the inside it's going to be "maai lampoon" chich is made of bamboo pressed into
8 by 4 foot sheets in a factory.
I'm trying to decise on what insulation I should use and what to use for external cladding.
But maybe I should start another thread for that.
-
I was trying to stay away from timber because the concrete will last longer but
maybe I should consider it.
Also the lenght of each side of the hexegon is only 8 foot but the hieght is 12 foot because
there will be a loft bed at 8 foot high. The exposed concrete posts and beams might look too clunky in a room thatt size.
We get the odd earthquake tremor up here in the mountains and I was thinking that the concrete would be stronger.
Now I'm starting to think that wood would be cheaper and faster and maybe more flexable in an earthquake tremor.
What do you think.

I'm getting a little house built and the middle room is going to have
6 sides.
It's going to be made with a concrete post and beam structure and
cladded in sheets of plyboard.
I'm trying to understand how to do the concrete post and beam structure for the hexagonal room.
If I use right angled (4 sided)posts the angle will be totally wrong when I try to attach the plyboard on the outside.
I see hexagonal posts for sale if that's the way to go or is there a way of attatching cladding to 4 sided posts on a six sided room.
Help on this one would be really apreciated because the construction is going to start soon and I need to be prepared.

O.k now I know why all this happened.
There was no winrar on my machine.
If there was I would have known that the filles were compressed and
uncompressed them.
I got winrar last night and as soon as it was installed it showed the filles as compressed.
I unziped one of the 47.6 filles and the whole episode was on the extracted file.
Binge problem solved.
Many thanks to those who helped
-
I have utorrent pro and it sais the file has no viruses.
win zip is just giving me an option to zip the file and not unzip it.
Thanks for the help folks--keep it comming.

Is revo uninstaller still usefull with windows 8.1.
Somebody said that it wasn't necessary on 8.1 for some reason.
Is uninstalling with Windows just as good.
Also I have CCleaner,is Revo better for disk cleanup than CC.
Is it time to scrap old Revo

woops,
20x47.6mb filles, doesn't sound very compressed to me.
How do I check it for a virus, there's nothing on my right click menu.
-
One thing I find strange is that there is about 20,47.6mb fillos for a 1 hour documentry

Yea,this is the problem there is no easier way of getting thiese torrents
and I really want to watch it.
But maybe not enough to hunt for a password.
I will try un-ziping them but I've never done it before.
-
I'm downloading some torrents that I really want to play but some won't play.
I'm using uTorrent and downloadind video files but some filles come out in a folder and broken into many files with the file type as-type R01
-type R02.....e.t.c
Is there any way to play these filles or are they just lemons.

Budjet 100K.
Also I'm way up in the mountains where anything where you need a crane or
even a large truck is too expensive.
It doesn't have to be finished for that money.A working toilet and shower and a weatherproof bedroom and we're in.

I want to build a small cabin,18ft by 12ft with a loft bed.
First I need to ask some very basic questions before I decide how to build it.
1-Which is cheaper a concrete foundation or up on stilts and
2-What are the choices for the materials for the walls. Are concrete blocks much more expensive than dry line board with some other layers and what might those layers be.
Do they have polestirene insulation here.I was rhinking, drylining on the inside, ploestirine in the middle and this compressed bamboo sheeting on the outside.
I can't see myself saving much on a house this size but I don't know.
What would you do.
Thanks.

I have fibromyalgia and am about to buy a new matress or vamp up my old one with a new cover but I have no idea what's on the market.
So what kind of a mattress is best for fibromyalgia, memory foam or
just a good expensive mattress and how much should I spend.
Are there memory foam toppers that I could put on the matress I have.
I want to put a memory foam topper and a washable topper on it,if I can't I will buy a new mattress.
All advice wellcome.

Do you have any instructions for converting audiobooks with Audacity.
Is it worth learning,is it faster than SoundTaxi,it couldn't be slower.
-
please tel me why,i thought they were superiour quality.
-
right,
i've got my paid version of soundtaxi going again with itunes.
it was running with just a plugin before which was a lot smaller
but i can't find it now.
soundtaxi is slow and sometimes there's a chapter missing in the converted file.
amersoft looks better and is 15 dollars more expensive.
does anybody have any expierance of comparing the 2 before i splash out.
-
how is reqium,is it fast and is it free.
I'm actually looking for the best program of this type that's available.
Audiobooks are my main hobby and I want to treat myself to the best
program.
-
I'm on Windows 8.1.
-
I am sampleing a number of audio conversion programs.
Some of them are saying "itunes not installed" when I try to convert a file.
Does anybody have a link to the exact itunes that they want me to install.
-
I've been removing DRM from audiobooks with SoundTaxi for a while now.Sometimes there is a whole chapter missing in the converted file
and now I've reinstalled my Windows I can't get it going again.
I need an iTunes plugin which it usualy gives me a link for but not this time.
So,I've been looking around for a better program if there is a better one.Amersoft is 35 Dollars compared to Sound Taxis' 20 Dollars.Audiobooks are my main passtime so I want to get the best program.I don't need video conversion.
Here's a list of the programs I've found and I have 2 questions,
1-what's the name of the itunes plugin I need for Sound Taxi and a lot of these programs and where do I find it.
2-are any of the programs below better than SoundTaxi,i.e..not missing chapters and faster
Amersoft DRM media converter.
Any Audio Converter.
Sound Taxi.
TunesKit.
Audiobook Converter.
DRM Buster.
DRM Removel.
Swich NCH.
TuneCab.
Audacity.

Yea,
Lots of work even trying to learn how to do it.
Doing it with VlC might be easier and you can do it as your listening.
Any way I'm having trouble with VLC and have had to change to the app version.
I will be a while figuring all this out out.

That's great guys,
I will have to watch a few more tutorials to get the hang of it
but that was exactly what I wanted to know
Thanks
Scrolling Speed Windows 8.1
in IT and Computers
Posted
I have Winds 8.1 on a Lenovo laptop.
When I scroll on file explorer it's too fast.
I have been to the "change how far you scroll with the mouse wheel"
and set it to scroll 1 line at a time,
in settigs but it hasn't slowed down.
Scorlling in Firefox is fine but does anybody know how I can make
the scrolling speed in File Explorer slower.
