  1. It's blatantly obvious for some reason Putin has Trump in his pocket.
  2. America is becoming more like some tin pot dictatorship every day where if you are a friend or support the President Dictator you can get away with anything oppose him or criticise him and god help you. Where has America the land of the free leader of the free world the paragon of democracy gone.
  3. Putin said NO Tomahawks Trump said YES Massa.
  4. Up to now (Trump) Europe and the west in general saw the US as a staunch friend and ally one who could be trusted and counted on. They were happy to support the US defence industry by buying their products it was a win win for all concerned. This gave the US defence industry more money for research and development while at the same time due to economies of scale reducing the costs of procurement for the US and other governments. Post Trump it is a different matter Europe and the west have woken up to the fact that if they want weapons they can use as they want or supply to whoever they please they had better develop and manufacture them themselves. This is without a doubt going to have a detrimental effect on the US defence industry in the future as sales dry up. Putin has obviously ordered Trump not to supply Tomahawks If Europe had their own version of Tomahawk I’m sure Ukraine would already have had them they have the Storm Shadow air launched but it has nowhere near the range of the Tomahawk. If Ukraine had been supplied with the weapons they needed without tying their hands behind their back at the very beginning of the invasion it would not have dragged on as long as it has and Russia could have been stopped. Trumps idea for stopping the war is freeze the lines as they are now and let Russia keep everything it has so far occupied. This would not bring lasting peace only reward Russia and give Putin more time to build up his forces and supplies for another invasion either Ukraine again or somewhere else. Trump is obviously on Putins side he has stopped all support and supplies for Ukraine and at the same time has not imposed any tariffs on Russia (his favourite tool for punishing countries) when he has on just about every other country in the world. America will not regain the respect influence or position in the world it used to have after Trump or if it does it will take a very long time as spidermike007 said that is probably a good thing for the world.
  5. The next General Election is 4 years away if the boats are stopped before then Reform will be shot out of the water anything can happen before then far too early to start making predictions. Local elections aren't necessarily a good predictor either as a lot of people vote differently in the general election and sometimes use the local ones as a sort of protest vote or are swayed by local issues. Every time I see Badenoch on TV I think fake all I see is an African woman with a fake posh accent pretending to be something she isn't. Personally I cant stand her. Not someone I want to be my Prime Minister.
  6. Trump just wants to make money out of it for himself. The Trump Gaza Reconstruction Co. is about to be launched.
  7. Putins playing Trump again just like an old fiddle.
  8. I was in the British Army during the Cold War period. NATO is not going to attack Russia or be the first to use nuclear weapons it's Russia or more likely Putin and others like him that want to recreate the USSR that is the problem Putin won't stop at Ukraine that is why Ukraine must be supported and Putin stopped now before he gets any stronger. NATO has to be ready for any eventuality. Nuclear war would devistate the whole world no country would escape the fallout and the after effects from it. As long as they exist there will always be the threat that they will be used, to give in to threats and blackmail only makes that more likely. Since 1945 the only thing that has stopped any country using them is M.A.D. I hope a solution can be found to stop the war.
  9. We all end up dead one way or another. Some just choose to die when they choose.
  10. Comparatively cheap anti drone drones and lazers are already being developed to stop them. That opinion piece came from Al Jazeera I wouldn't take too much notice of it NATO is still more than a match for Russia. As for "NATO’s post–Cold War aura of invincibility" Russia is no USSR either.
  11. I never ever thought I would ever agree with something the Pope said. If i had said I agreed with the Pope in my younger days in Belfast I would probably have been shot clickbait is a curse.
  12. France has a massive debt problem but everytime the government tries to fix it by making hard decisions like cutting benefits or increasing the retirement age the French riot. Vive La France.
  13. I thought the King decides who gets Royal Pardon
  14. To some of us outside the US the government continually shutting down is something that only happens in 3rd world countries.
  15. I expect their future fellow inmates are looking forward to giving them a special welcome.
  16. In that case the Amerricans should be hung as well and the US should give America back to the native indians
  17. Want to stop the killings..................Take the guns away.
  18. I'm a total whore when it comes to voting no loyalty from me I'll vote for anybody depending on who is going to be better for me on the day.
  19. Labour have never been as ruthless as the Tory's when it comes to getting rid of their leader the Tory's changing leaders and Prime Ministers multiple times didn't exactly do them any good last time, they should have stuck with Boris. The question for Labour is if they got rid of Starmer who have they got to replace him with and would they be any better. It does look as though Starmer is out of his depth on some thing not all perhaps given time he will learn, time will tell (if he's given the chance).
  20. The vast majority of people in the UK want Starmer and the government to get tough be ruthless even. Too many bleeding hearts do-gooders and charities funding lawyers fighting every attempt to to deport someone. Toughen up the laws and make them pay every time they lose a case, they will soon run out of money. Stop providing for them and giving them a welcome treat them as criminals Stop every boat arrest detain and deport everyone even those already here. If something drastic doesn't happen soon come the next election they will be out. People want a strong Prime Minister and government at the moment the are sadly lacking. Winter is coming soon the weather will close in and the boat crossings will slow 2 women died in the early hours this morning trying to cross the channel, I would say Starmer has until spring/summer next year to come up with something that really does stop the boats or he and Labour is out come the next election. I.D. cards won't stop them one out one in won't stop them only stopping every boat and mass deportations will stop them. The Tory's failed Labour is failing the Lib Dems dont have a clue so there are going to be a lot of people voting Reform even if they hold their nose whilst doing so.
