I saw a poll in the i paper recently that said if there was an election today reform would get 400 seats. They asked people how they were likely to vote if there was a general election now. Reform. 35% Labour. 20% Conservative 17% Lib Dems. 13% Thats not something I would have thought possible a little while back. Labour is only in power now because people wanted the Tory’s out not because they particulaly wanted Labour. The same could just happen again with Reform. It’s no good Labour saying they can’t do something to stop the boats because of some human rights law or something. They are the government they can change the law its what the people want them to do. If they arrested everyone arriving illegally in the boats and deported them the boats would stop almost immediately. If they haven’t stopped the boats by the next election then Reform could quite possibly form the next government. Not something I would particularly welcome but then again perhaps the established institution needs a good kick up the proverbial.

What is it with all the name calling it seems to me anyone who doesn’t agree with Trump or supports MAGA is called a leftie don’t they realise how childish it sounds or is it something Trump started with his ridiculous petty name calling. It makes my skin crawl when I hear it.

Trump has Congress and the Supreme Court in his pocket all he has to do is get Congress to agree to the tariffs and it’s a done deal. If there are a few in congress with a modicum of common sense who wont agree to ratify the tariffs then the Supreme Court will likely give in to his threats. America is no longer respected its becoming a laughing stock and on a slippery slope under Trump. If the tariffs have to be refunded they could always sue Trump for it then he could do what he always does when he doesn’t want to pay and declare himself bankrupt. Then his mate Putin will probably come along and bail him out as always.

One thing is certain it doesn't matter if you are the richest man in the world the President of America or a homeless individual hunting through rubbish bins for food. We are all going to die and the older we get the odds of seeing another day diminishes which makes it all the more important not to waste it. I'm in my 80's and it's something I try to live by. The clock is ticking.
