Yes there was the red, amber, green lights test.
I think he meant the vision test with which you have to tell the numbers on a paper which will reaveal if you are color blind or not.. Not the reaction test...

Yes they have made their lives here like I made many years ago. But why would anybody comming
to Thailand now (if the can)
Its a free "Benny Hill" show everyday... Thats why.. Its actually quite funny.. Cause unbelievable things happen every minute.. Life in thailand is more strange than fiction.. The reality is much more crazy.

TBH I would try to avoid buying your son a smartphone as long as possible. I have 2 sons, 16 & 13 & android phones are addictive & kill off family life.
But if you insist on going ahead, if he wants it for gaming, then surely you need to look at something a bit more powerful with more memory? Xiaomi Redmi note 9?
Agreed.. I would look for a secondhand xiaomi. Good phones for the money.

Normal salary is 9000 about.. Have to pay their uniform, equipment.. , Vests.. Clothes, pepper spray whatever.. and finally their gun.. Remember a new gun is around 60 000.. I understand completly they have to take bribes..I dont want to even guess what a bulletproof vest costs.
It has been said a million years already gov. should start by raising the salary around three times.. Only then will the bribery maybe go down...As it is now its impossible to survive on this base salary... Reason for it I guess is that everything under 10 000 is non taxable...

I don't remember having to get my PP translated. We married at the local Amphur office and i think it was free, you will need to take 2 Thai witnesses and one must speak english (not your GF) and explain the forms/marriage to you. That was our local Amphur rules.
My experience too.. Proof of not married from home country.. No interview.., Can not remember any translations.. Passport and wife and id, Probably housebook for her and certificate of residency for the foreigner I guess..Proof of non marriage is not required from her as her ID will show it unless changed name. Arrival card from passport and two witnesses is also necessarry.

As always polls do not mean a lot,it all depends on how you ask the questions and whom you ask.
I can understand both sides but they do have to realize the longer they wait the worse it will get.
Some kind of second wave is unavoidable.
I see people all around not wearing mask any more, they are the smart ones.
The anger of the people around the world against stupid rules is in creasing.
Over here, wear a mask but forget your helmet, how stupid can you get?
Tough choices need to be made and either way it is going to be challenged by the opposition.
What makes sense over here does not make any sense else where.
In a few years we will know the truth.
Make it 60 years.

Police report, COR)certificate of residence and Passport should suffice. Might throw in a doctors health certificate to be on the safe side.

It is the same confusion people never understands about visas and visa exemptions. For example 30 days entry. They count the day you land as day 1.. So effective you loose one as you enter. Thats why people do not understand that you have to count 1.2.3.4.. from the day you start, aaaand keep in mind how many days there are in the month. It is NOT a month you get... Easy enough when you get used to it.

Whats the difference in a "state facility" versus a "Local Facility"?

I am definitely interested. It depends on the details and prices and the available quarantine hotels in Phuket. And, if they will allow people from my country.
There are two as far as we know.. Marvelous choice..Anantara and one more I already forgot...

no problem really. You can drive on the expired license with no problem for a year. When you do go to do the new license, if it is after your birthday this year, you will get a 6 year driver's license. As for having copies of anything, the license office in C/M has someone to make any and all copies needed of any documents for 1 baht per page. No problems.
Like everyone say. It depend on your kind of visa.. A tourist visa or exemption visa will not cut it. You need a Non immigran O or other kind of longer stay visa like Education, business. Non Immi with retirement extension or only a Non I which you will get if you get an extension based on marriage..
For some thoug it is actually worse that the one year limit after its expired has come and gone and there is no way to renew it since one can not actually be in thailand right now. That is tricky. Best would probably be to just show an international and say you want to convert that one one more time again. Point is.. They will let you take exam and driving one more time, but if you insist on not doing that.. Say you just want to convert your foreign international license(that is license with an international extra paper from relevant authorities in home country) , I dont think they can deny that.

The anncounement seems to say you can stay in hotels(ASQ) "or show ownership via condo way or housebooks, title deeds OR a rental contract". That should imply you can quarantine in your own home. At least its what they said in the requirements yesterday. Fit to fly seems sufficient too. Not a covid test. That is something else.. Since you will be submitted to a test in Thailand anyway.Also.. A foreign or insurance like the one most people already have in their homecountries suffices although it demands two copies of it..hehe.....But.. of course.. Tomorrow there is another set of rules.. Never a dull moment...

It could be more if there were more ASQ hotels. For some reason it is hard to get approved, particularly in Phuket. It should not be that hard, particularly in hotels with open air stairs.
You guys are missing something... If you have a rental its sufficient.. Or have a lease contract somewhere.... A hotel is not enough, but a rental seems to be. Which is good for villa renters I would guess. At least they say" asq hotels OR lease, rental contract, condo ownership or house papers like the housebook or/and title deed."
So seems to be not impossible not to stay in a hotel designated by the gov.

I think neobanks are more normal in northern Europe than phsysical banks already. First one I used was opened in 2010 and is still going strong.

You are right.., but there is a catch 22 in it.. Would you want a warm beer or a beer with ice? Hehe.. Of course we demand a cold fridge.. But if it aint available as happens more than we would like to admit.

I tried this in phang nga 10 years ago, but they sent me back to where my address was.. So i dont think it would work. Book a hotel where you are for a night and show that.. should suffice. In theory at least ...

No true.
I have a valid European and International driving licence and had to do a test.
Test was ridiculous but I had to do one and see a video of 1 hour or more (don't remember).
Not true again.. IF you have a translated international licence which almost no country issues You are good to go.. From scandinavia for example you need a NAF certificate.. that shows in different language what you are able to drive.. This is valid for 1 year.. If you use this one together with your actual license you will convert your license.

you had 10 months and something until your birthday.. Then its 5 years....
