  1. They did not get the certification yet from Civil Aviation Ofiice.

Looks like they plan to open on 16th June. But that is based on what NOK, Vietjet, Airasia, Thai and Thaismiles availability pages show. Tickets are unavailable , but available from 16. It might be later if the certification is not in place.

Go to Surat and take the plane there. Krabi is also late..

You might need a Non Imm  -O visa to obtain a driving licence and/or certificate of residence. I was refused driving licence at Kalasin when I had a tourist visa.

You can get a license on a tourist visa. That is for sure unless they practice it different from place to place which I dont think they do. However.. You get two years validity on a tourist visa.. Difference comes on extension after that.. On a tourist visa then you get two new years.. With a non-o or different class visa you would get 5 years. First time is same for everyone regardless of type of Visa. You will even get a driving licence on a exemption stamp which is the 30 days many countries get on arrival. Technically that is not a Visa at all.

Your post is stupid beyond belief. Its not the shops fault its the payment system thats the problem. They developed software and forgot to add a way for a foreigner to pay, simple as that. If I was behind you in a queue and you did that I would make you put everything back yourself. What a pompous attitude to take.

Agreed.. , but I do not believe they "forgot" a way to pay..hehe.. There is a reason which is yet to understand....It might blow over like everything... It will create too much problems in the long run.

  4. Fantastic.. I wonder if we can still buy a coca cola, food, car, motorbike.., repairs, gasoline, snickers.. What is the difference really and where do they draw the line? Anyone knows.. It cant stop at utility bills.. What about hospital bills then or Insurance bills?

If you do put signs up in English you must put the name also in Thai to avoid the higher rate of Tax, it can go in the bottom corner

Very correct.. This is the law.. You probably did not pay for your signs.. In phuket it used to be (for a medium sized sign) 1500 baht or maybe a little more a year.

So, by accurately turning in violators, a person could earn thousands every day.  Right?  So many questions.

Is not wearing a helmet an offense?  How much?

Can you set up a camera + recording system at an intersection to catch hundreds of violators?

Will the person who turns in a violator receive 24 hour police protection?  It will certainly be needed.

Would a falang need a work permit to do this?

Would it be safer to have the actual police do this, thus saving money and not creating violent reprisals?

All of these points where my exact same thoughts...Welcome the police of state. or is it the state of the police that speaks volumes.. No in fact we neeed "the eye of the pineapple" idea to strike again.. Start spying on your neighbours!! You can even earn money on it... NOT!

Yeah, i call it a wooden deck but had some plastic wood from the HomePro in mind that we saw a week ago. Regarding the metal i will keep it in mind as the ground is a bit lower there meaning rain water collects which might increase rust and other problems with any metal. Regarding the sun we are pretty safe there, that area has shadow from about 4pm onwards.

    Thanks a lot.

They use some kind of smartboard. A builder would not propose a wooden deck if you dont demand one.. There are various versions of it. Some have a warrantee of 10 years. I have one sala area with just that and the only thing that eventually demands some maintenance are the screws holding it down. Use stainless steel grade A or zink og galvanized screws which in phuket you only get in boat shops. (as far as I know). The deck looks like wood and feels like wood, but its basicly hard plastic with some epoxy in it.
