  3. Slightly off topic but does anyone know an easy way to clean vertical hanging blinds or a company who offer this service.

Cream coloured blinds seemed a great idea when I first moved in :o

Close them amd run a vacuum cleaner over one surface, then close them the other way and repeat.

What material are they? You may damage them if too delicate.

There are grimy marks that would need more than a vacuum to clean off. They are made of some sort of fabric.

  4. Just before daybreak on Thursday, Police Major Wittaya from Pattaya Police Station was called to the Cheurn Ruk Inn Motel on Pattaya Third Road following reports of an attempted rape of a woman by a high ranking police officer.

Police arrived at the scene and spoke with the 25 year old alleged victim. She explained that earlier in the night, she had met a man in a nearby Pub, who is known to be a Police Lieutenant Colonel working in a nearby Province.

He suggested the pair go for more drinks at another location. The woman agreed, however she was in fact taken to the Motel and she alleges she was dragged into one of the rooms.

She assumed that the Police Officer was about to rape her so she ran into the toilet inside the room and called her boyfriend who contacted Pattaya Police for assistance.

They arrived and the woman decided not to take the case any further.

The Police Officer was allowed to leave and no further action was taken

  5. There was drama on the second floor of Pattaya Police Station on Wednesday Morning as the sound of a gun shot was heard in the Financial Department Office located next to the Prison Cells.

Officers rushed to the office and saw Police Senior Sergeant Major Tawan aged 54 lying on the floor in a pool of blood. Close-by was his firearm and it was apparent that the officer had made an attempt to take his own life.

Colleagues inside the office at the time, described how the officer took a phone-call and appeared serious. Moments later he picked up his gun and aimed it at his head and pulled the trigger.

Police Colonel Nopadon, the Chief of Pattaya Police soon arrived and explained that he was aware that the officer was having financial problems and had borrowed 450,000 Baht which he was unable to pay back. 7. Just before daybreak on Saturday, Police Lieutenant Anuwat from Pattaya Police Station was called to View Talay Condominium 1 located on the Thappraya Road leading to Jomtien Beach to investigate a suspected suicide.

At the base of the building lay the body of Mr. Michael Ulrich Schwingenschlogel aged 52 from Germany. Trauma injuries suggested he had fallen from a high floor at the condominium block.

The body was identified by his Thai Wife, Khun Suana aged 42 who was understandably distraught after witnessing her Husband’s suicide.

She explained to Police that they had been married for 5 years and the deceased ran a condo rental business in Pattaya which was not going very well. This led him to drink heavily on a regular basis.

In the early hours of Saturday Morning, the pair had gone to a bar located on the ground floor of the building. Mr. Ulrich made his way back to his 5th floor apartment alone, leaving his Wife downstairs.

It appears that Mr. Ulrich made his way to the 16th floor and jumped off the building and his body fell in front of the bar and in front of his Wife.

Forensic evidence has been taken from 16th floor and Police are satisfied this was indeed a suicide.

The German Embassy in Bangkok has been informed of the death and are currently conducting their own investigation into the death

  13. Never mind nationality this low life (Ward) Pattaya can do without. Fancy anybody being so low as to sell fake Viagra to his fellow expatriates, this very serious crime should be with a mandatory death sentence, and we now know the "real reason" why the Thai wife of the other man was so upset with this slimy individual, maybe her husband had been using Wards pills for years :D:D:D .

Obviously not a hard man then :o

  16. Police Lieutenant Natapong from Banglamung Police Station was called to the Poonsawat Factory in Soi Kow Tha Low on Sunday Morning after the body of an employee was discovered just after dawn. The deceased man worked at the location as a Security Guard and messenger and according to colleagues he was very homesick but was unable to return to his family home in Trat Province due to a lack of money.

Police inspected the area and the body and are confident this was no more than a suicide and there is no suspicion of third party involvement in his death. Khun Poonsawat's family have been informed and have already collected his body which will be cremated in Trat Province later this week.
