Yes, you're right, the owner of my local can be a <deleted> too, but at least he'll greet a new customer.

Anyway, until one of the money grabbing fukkers around the lake drops their prices to 40 baht a bottle I don't suppose any of them are going to be packed out on charm alone.

Last night I tried Manneke Pis (I made sure that's how they spell it) for the first time. It won't be the last. I had the beef stew and it was wonderful! Plenty to eat, delicious, and the beef was so tender I literally never had to use my knife.

The only disappointment was the salad. It was more like a garnish. If they have to put a dressing on salads, I wish more of these restaurants would serve the salad separately and provide a choice of dressings. Not everybody likes the same salad dressing and it seemed to be more of a mayonnaise than a dressing.

However, I truly enjoyed the beef stew and the price is certainly reasonable. 245 baht. There is a meatball dish for 215 baht that I'm considering for the next time I go, but it will be quite difficult to choose something else in favor of that beef stew!

A man wearing a mask bursts into a sperm bank with a shot gun. "Open the safe!" he yells at the girl behind the counter.

"But we're not a real bank" replies the girl. "This is a sperm bank, we don't hold money".

"Don't argue just open the safe or I'll blow your head off!" She obliges and opens the safe door.

"Take one of the bottles and drink it!"

On Thursday Morning, General Sonti, the man responsible for leading the 2006 Military Coup against the former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra who is now in exile in England, celebrated his 62nd Birthday by donating food and other provisions to elderly residents at a government-funded old persons home in Banglamung.

The retired General who was accompanied by his Wife, Khunying Piyadar and his family handed over the donation to the 242 residents of the home who organized a party to welcome the General.

Many journalists were present and tried to ask the General questions regarding the current Government, however he politely told them that this was his Birthday and he would not talk about this on this special day

Pattaya Police Officers were called to an Apartment in Soi Jurarak in Jomtien on Thursday Morning, to investigate a fatality.

On the 3rd floor, Police entered room number C7 and inspected the body of Khun Natawoot aged 42.

Nearby was a smoking device and a quantity of Marijuana.

There were no signs of any trauma on the body of the deceased man and a friend and work colleague, Khun Pairort aged 34 explained to Police that the pair would sell Monk Images in local markets.

Khun Pairort came to the room to collect Khun Natawoot as the pair had planned to work at a local market.

He looked through the window of the apartment and saw him lying motionless and summoned assistance.

For now, the exact cause of death is a mystery and a Post Mortem examination is now underway before Police proceed with the case.

In the early hours of Thursday Morning, a group of Pattaya Police Volunteers conducted a routine stop on a Thai Man on a motorbike in Soi Jurarak off the Tepprasit Road in Jomtien.

Initially they found nothing suspicious and were preparing to let the man go.

One of the Volunteers suggested they take the man to Pattaya Police Station for a urine test and profiling.

At this point, the man jumped on his bike and sped off.

A chase ensued and resembling a scene from an action movie, the suspect, later named as Khun Gamon aged 29, prepared to jump off his speeding motorbike into a lake on the side of the road.

The stunt did not go as planned and the man fell onto rocks and dislocated his shoulder.

He was taken to Hospital and was clearly in a considerable amount of pain.

The Volunteers who gave chase told us how they were shocked when they realized what the man was attempting to do but were powerless to stop him. Police will take the case no further.

Just before Dawn on Thursday, Police Lieutenant Saeksuk from Banglamung Police Station was called in to investigate the aftermath of a shooting incident which occurred in a remote area off the Naklua Road.

The victim of the shooting was only 14 years old and was rushed to Hospital with a serious gun shot wound to his back.

He was later transferred to Chonburi Hospital for more specialist care.

Police went to the scene of the crime and found evidence of drug taking at the location.

Two friends of the victim assisted Police with their enquiries and explained that 5 men and 1 woman arrived at the scene and one of the men known as Khun Dow aged 22 produced two guns and shot at the victim a total of 9 times.

The friends are unsure why he shot at the victim and Police are continuing to investigate the crime but are sure that vital information is being withheld.

Just before 5am on Wednesday, Police Lieutenant Colonel Wunlop from Pattaya Police Station along with rescue workers were called to a 3rd floor room located in Soi Day Night 2 in South Pattaya following reports of a foreign man who was apparently causing harm to himself.

At the scene, rescue workers attended to Mr. Con Phiak Seong aged 35 from Malaysia.

It appeared that he had cut his arms and was in a serious condition due to excessive blood loss.

Near his body was a knife and half-empty bottle of Toilet Cleaner.

The victims Thai Girlfriend, Khun Pethathai aged 32 told Police that she returned from work to find Mr. Seong inside the toilet covered in blood.

She revealed that Mr. Seong was extremely jealous and was sure that his girlfriend was seeing another man.

Whether she was or not was not revealed and for now she is with her Boyfriend in Hospital and helping him through this difficult time.

Nothing like scrubbing the bogs while you slash yourself up

Just after 6pm on Tuesday Evening, Police Colonel Nopadon, the Chief of Pattaya Police responded to a call regarding a shooting which had just taken place on the South Pattaya Road.

The Colonel along with rescue workers rushed to the scene and rescue workers attended to the victim of the shooting, Khun Chaiya aged 21.

He had sustained 3 gun shots to his left arm, and lower back.

He was rushed to Hospital in a serious condition and is currently on a life support machine.

Witnesses saw a man and woman on a motorbike pull up behind the victim who was on a further bike.

The male driver produced a gun and shot at the victim in what appeared to be a pre-meditated act.

Khun Chaiya is a known repeat offender and had been released form Prison on Bail, three days before the shooting relating to drug possession charges.

He also mentioned to investigators at that time that he was concerned over a long running conflict with a gang of men involved in illegal drug distribution around Pattaya.

Police are convinced the shooting relates to his involvement in illegal drugs and are basing their investigation on this assumption as they search for the shooter.

Good to see that the government are doing somthing

I had a bore hole drilled about 6 months ago and have had clean water ever since. I have several friends who used the same lady and all are happy as well.

It was 35,000 baht inc pump and no money changed hands until the job was finished (1 day)

As I live next to the lake I thought they would only have to drill about 5 meters but they went down 36 meters before they were happy.

I can't remember the ladies name but the number is 0814577862.

On Friday Night we attended the Robin Hood Bar located at the Jomtien Complex where a party was held and included the presentation of a sizeable donation from the bar and its customers to Fred and Dianne Doell from the Mercy Center.

This worthwhile charity cares for children and others who are under-privileged, sick or require shelter.

The Robin Hood Bar holds Friday Jammin’ Sessions where local Musicians are encouraged to perform.

It is through the generosity of these performers, customers and the bar owners that a donation of 36,897 Baht was handed over to Fred and Dianne who thanked the Robin Hood Bar for their kindness.

We also commend the bar and its customers for making the effort to raise money for the Mercy Center.

Spot on fellas

On Sunday Afternoon on Highway 36 in Nong Pla Lai Sub-District, Police Lieutenant Choosak from Banglamung Police Station was called to a fatal single-vehicle accident.

The vehicle involved in the crash was a Silver Toyota Compressor driven by Khun Somshai aged 53 who was killed when the minivan slammed into a pylon located 30 meters from the side of the road.

Inside the minivan was his American customer who he had picked up from the Suvanabumi Airport in Bangkok and was on his way to Trat Province with his Thai Girlfriend.

According to passengers inside the minivan, Khun Somshai clutched his chest and appeared to be in some distress.

He then passed out and the van left the road and hit the pylon.

Khun Somshai was declared dead in Hospital despite efforts to resuscitate him.

On Monday Night we were invited to a rather extravagant Birthday Party held at the Bali Hai Port at the south end of Pattaya Beach.

The party was called “Bali Hai Sunset” and celebrated the 48th Birthday of Police Lieutenant Colonel Supachat, the Deputy Chief of Pattaya Police.

The party featured famous Thai Singers such as “Micky” and “Witidrat” and famous comedians.

Even local Cable TV broadcast the birthday party live. An endless list of local VIPS attended the party which continued until the small hours of the morning.

In the early hours of Tuesday Morning, Medical Staff at the Pattaya Memorial Hospital admitted an Iranian Tourist who was allegedly beaten at the far end of Walking Street by a Thai Man.

Mr. Shariaha Asgari aged 49 from Iran sustained serious head injuries but Doctors tell us he will fully recover from the injuries.

The suspected attacker was Khun Tanasaert aged 29 who was located, arrested and taken to Pattaya Police Station.

He explained to us that he experienced problems with an Iranian Man earlier in the night and thought he spotted him later.

He attacked the victim with a plank of wood and realized afterwards that he had attacked the wrong man.

Khun Tanasaert is now behind bars and will appear in court to answer a charge of assault later this week.

Early on Monday Morning, Pattaya City Hall Security Officers were on routine patrol in the Walking Street area when they spotted a foreign monk begging for money at a group of beer bars located in Soi Diamond Beach Hotel just off the main street.

They detained Mr. Yanqi Lui aged 56 from China who had entered Thailand on a single-entry Tourist Visa.

He was carrying papers to confirm he is an ordained monk, however his actions were illegal and the officers transferred him to the Immigration Office in Jomtien for further investigations and possible deportation.

I also went yesterday with the wifey.
