Come to my soi in Ekamai, Bangkok. Every morning 2 guys walk out of their house, jump on a motorcycle, drive 30 metres, pee on the wall and drive home again. # men walk out of their house and pee on the wall. All day long people stop and pee on the wall (and I have seen defaction once). Taxi drivers throw their bottles of urine in the bushes. The whole area is rotten with stale pee. It's easy to pick on the foreigners, but many Thais are much worse.

Why only Chonburi? There are many of these "premises" in Bangkok.

I've lived here 25 years and I remember when I first came I read a headline similar to this one and for 2 or 3 days I saw on TV that the police were stopping some buses and measuring the amount of black smoke being emitted. 25 years and still the same headlines while nothing has been done. Almost every night there are 5 or more cars parked around our house. The drivers sit in them for 3 or 4 hours with the motors idling while their bosses go to have dinner meetings. Some stay longer with the record being 16 hours. 8 pm to 12 midday. That's just in our part of the soi. If this happens all over Thailand then that's a lot of unnecessary pollution.

If Thailand wants the rich tourists then safety measures have to be greatly improved. I have just read about a rich Chinese tourists who is going to sue a boat operator for endangering his family's lives at the weekend by taking them out on a boat despite bad weather warnings. The boat sank.

All these comments about "Scores". Scores is an idiomatic expression mean "many." We also say "a couple of" which doesn't always mean two. How many people say "just a minute" and take 3 or 4 minutes.

Of course it is their fault. If they weren't here that accident wouldn't have happened.
